Welcome My Brother.
Amefrica: ...Phew... What a long journey!

Our plane took off from Lagos around 1:30pm, so we reached Ethiopia at night, it was 5hrs flight tho - Ethiopia is 2hrs ahead of Nigeria. From Ethiopia we headed to Rome (technical stop) no one was allowed to come down shaa. It seemed they were refueling..

From Rome we began the real journey to Canada (Toronto). We spent about 5-6hrs crossing the Atlantic Ocean, my heart just dey jump, e don comot from my chest run go stomach..

The worst part was when the Captain made an announcement that it was too cloudy and stuff but said everything was under control, I wan nearly poo for body.

I didn't enjoy my 2nd flight to Toronto at all, I was seated in the middle of 2 arugbos. A man and woman! We just bone talk till we reach here.

***Port of Entry*** When we got in, I and Parisbluefox were sorting our luggages and after every we proceeded. The immi officer sef fear me, he asked why I haven't paid my fees , I told him I'll be paying in person at the school's accounting office 2mrw. He asked if I had the cash, I said no but I have my MasterCard. He said OK!

He started typing and staring at my letter of acceptance as well as my passport, me just bone face nii and for inside I don dey worry say wetin dey happen oga. He asked my names, DOB and asked me to give him my proof of funds, I sharply comot my sponsor's SOAs (business and personal).

He asked whose account was it and I said my uncle. Na so e talk say make I excuse am for a min, e go inside (for my mind - I don melt finish), na so e just come out with a long paper and as I see maple leaves on top, my mind come down. Hin just tear am, staple am with my passport and stamped it. He gave it to me and said "make your parents proud" I winked and said "most definitely".

I missed my flight to Charlottetown, and I was booked for another. I'm still chilling here in Toronto Pearson for the next 2hrs.

Canadians friendly die! Chai.. While I was pulling my luggages, a woman asked me to stop and wait for a min, b4 I could say jack, she brought a cart.

Abeg, Canada na 'must' visit place for everyone on earth. Make una do quick! cheesy #in other news, I'm still waiting for the low-life psychopath threatening me I nor dey enter here.. grin grin

Ethiopian Airlines is just superb ...I was counting how many times they were bringing food, but lost count at some point.

Lifzuz: can any give me a reasonable place for teolf registration center in Lagos n price
You don't have to use agent to register for TOEFL. Every information You need to be able to register online is already encapsulated in their website (http://www.ets.org/toefl). The only thing You need is to have Visa card or find someone that has Visa Card, to be able to pay 175USD (as they don't accept Naira Master Card which is mostly possessed by all) which is a bit less than 30k. If you insist on using agent, You may check on one of their accredited centers at JKK HOUSE, 229, IKORODU ROAD (very close to Town planning or Anthony bus-stop). But be ready to pay them between 35-40k for something You can as well register yourself at 29k+ (some hundred less than 30k) in your comfort zone.

Now in the beautiful Country-Canada. Peeps that have gotten their TRVs should as a matter of necessity request the consular officer or embassy to forward their LOI. After dropping documents like passport, letter of request for passport, and Uni's admission letter, I was asked to produce my LOI at the POE and I was not with any (as I was only sent my stamped passport and letter requesting my passport) and I told the man to verify my authenticity from their system that the only documents I presented (aside admission letter) are those sent to me by the embassy. He actually did and he issued me study permit straight away cum reading all the conditions in it to me. He finally said you may go

Lols. Which of these... do you think will influence a person's intellectual behavior most, a university where your official undergraduate 4yr or 5yr prog as the case may be, translated to 6 or 7yrs (as a result of 1 to 3yrs owned to "aluta" with aftermath-strike) and a university which you only did 18months Masters Prog (With little or no strike except for ASUU which is not always observed by UI)?

I know if Jijiola was to come in this..., Profound Kudos will be given to Great Ife for his intellectual disposition while modicum appreciation will be given to UI for her paucity input.

lassky:
my friend methinks its not only the spirit of OAU that is working in him but also the spirit of UI. cool I guess the latter works more than the former. grin
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by bjoseph: 4:15pm On Jul 29, 2014
The Spirit of OAU is working in jijiola cum personal development. I also graduated from the school and that is how most of us (Not all - as I don't want to commit a fallacy of ambiguity composition) argue. We intellectually and constructively composed and relayed our views about a matter.
Jijola: Cheers to you Ma. Don't mind my Sunday of indolence which allowed me debate on Nairaland. I respect your intelligence, and maturity. Enjoy the rest of your week.smiley

Pls House I need your view on this matter.

A friend of mine was arrested in UK for using false documentation which he was granted bail from the police custody after His finger print, DNA and Photo capturing was taken, and then asked to come back for further investigation, but he jumped bail and came to Nigeria- This was as a result of the fear that he might be deported or jailed. Now that his in Nigeria, He his planning to visit America or Canada with genuine intention.

The question now is:

1. Can this past UK's criminal history of my friend affects his Canadian or American Visa Application?
2. Does Canadian or American embassy verifies one's past immigration record in UK (through biometrics or finger print)

Please kindly assist with suggestion and contribution on what to do...[/quote]

okay, I thought your uni is located in New Brunswick province
Yea, it's located in New Brunswick, but from my research, no flight in NGR can go there as the nearest popular international airport is situated in montreal, I will have to travel for about 11hrs to reach my school.

TOEFL is 175 USD (about 30k) if you want to register it yourself. If someone or center will register it for you, the fee ranges between 35-40k.

Slimdel: You are officially sexy lol congrats dear

Ma in the returned envelope given to you after your visa crested/stamped, was there any letter of introduction to POE sent along or it was just only the visa and the passport request letter contained in the envelope?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by bjoseph: 10:20pm On Jul 15, 2014
I want to use this medium to appreciate those that assisted me when sojourning through application packaging and filling terrain. Special thanks to those who brought problems to be solved by the experienced clan (esp. Miss Bon, Chrigo, Justwise, Slimdel, Nayblet, Amefrica-now Canafrica, Newacca, Centennial Guy, Huzzie, Kjbobo amongst others ). It was from the responses/solutions made by the experienced folks to the questions asked by me and other people in the house that aided me all through my application.

To God be the glory for the great things he has done, I'm exultant and elated to inform this noble house that I have chopped TRV.

ManTiger: I just submitted my bro application online, thanks to UBA africard.
Pls what next?
When is he likely to be called for the biometrics?
What are the fee involved?
Next is to go for biometrics at vfs Global
The biometrics letter is usually sent immediately after you submission is made, but you can still wait for it to drop.
No fee involved. You have paid for everything to the level of getting passport transmitted and TRV crested on it.

Krysstofa: Lol. I wish ya success bro!

With the eyes of the spirit, I see TRVs approval this week! This week so many emails of Medicals request will be received. "Faithful is He that calls you and He also will do it" that sincere desire to make this world a better place shall be granted. Like Daniel, your TRV and SOP shall stand out! In short CIC will be so moved and interested in you that a scholarship you did not bargain for will be given freely unto you. This week shall be someone's week of divine visitation, just like the angel visited Mary and made her stand out amongst "all other women" you also and everything that has to do with you shall stand out! One thing I'll say is be always thankful to God 'cos that is His will for your life and just watch Him show Himself strong in that situation. Like that Indian movie, place your hands on your chest and in a soft voice say "All izz well" . Remain blessed y'all! Happy sunday! #Krysstofa
amen! to all the said prayers or wishes
