Northeastern: You said it all But he’s correct on past performance is not a guarantee of future performance because you can study trend but nobody knows the investors sentiments and market. Everyone just estimating and analysing, Someone made a comment here to me which made sense once a market turns bearish, nothing can stop it until it meets its support level at that time Lastly studying stocks for monthly analysis is risky, an example is wire card last month from 100 euro to 1 euro Per share with 3 days, investors bled. so you need to be up to date with information and news regarding your investment. 1 Like |

RabbiDoracle: You are very correct bro but in dang cement, he didnt use debt to buy back those shares he bought in january 2020, although he didnt buy much out of the 10% agreed and its normal for dang cement to always issue either commercial papers or bonds arouund this time so i wouldnt suggest he did it to fund his purchase of buyback |

RabbiDoracle: if they are buying back to deceive investors, trust me the company finances wouldn't be able to handle it so the eps will drop immediately because the company will not have enough funds for production purposes and investment purposes which will see sales volume reduce and also gross and net profit margin reduce and eps compared to their previous qtr or year with an increase in bad debt because they will trying to sell more on credit to boost sales. Their cash flow from operating activities will be in negative and financing activities will be built with either more loans or new issue of shares but in dangcem, its not the case that's why i'm shocked and surprised 1 Like |

nna777: i like to believe that fidson will go up but truth is that fidson shouldn't be paying out dividend now, rather it is meant to keep its profit for uncertainties because looking at other pharmateucals coy, their share price is trading below N2 Their contract can be breached by natural acts which are not within their control and can be cut off, look at chams plc contract with the govt to produce identity cards but it was cut off over night making investors loose billions and cry so its just for the short time take my money and dividend and run away bro |

klas: this just says it all i have thought and thought about this. but on a share repurchase scheme from my experience in nyse, the demand for the company shares will shoot up as dangote has bought 10% of the shares which is cancelled so people will look for the shares which will also drive share price up because of the demand supply however some folks say that share repurchase is bad, looking at dangcement, it has little or non current liabilities outstanding and their cash from operating services in their cash flow is positive with the cash held in hand is more than enough for the company to sustain this coro from q1 report. However considering other ratios such as quick acid, working capital and current ratio, i feel its the industry norm for them to have such, looking at bua and wapco, they are not currently liquid. Dangcem also issued out bonds to boost up liquidity due to the coro issues and dividend payout i feel its four things 1. alhaji and his boys are playing funny with the market for DIL to buy the shares at the best prices again 2. bua cement issues(which is having effect on the share price at N-4) 3. massive layoff(investors feeling dangote is in cash crisis) 4.EPS - 11.76 Dividend - 16 (paying above their profit for one share by above 4.1), they might have sense fear and invested in the bond after taking dividend because of the uncertainties in the economy due to coro 5. the market is funny and most industries are on loosing streak If the case is 1, 3, 4 AND 5 i believe it will rise because in the case of no 3, a company can fund it from its retained earnings, cash and they are non cash expenses such as depreciation, amortisation and provisions provided on its AFS which cuts down profit but if its no 2, and if there is a court case, provisions may be made and it will cut q2 profit and share price will plummet more, i pray its not this or else anyone holding BUA CEMENT should get ready also THIS HAS TAUGHT ME A BIG LESSON I WONT FORGET. EXPERIENCE IS KEY and run away from any company with pending or prospective court cases 2 Likes |

Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Bjrokenhear003: 2:17pm On Jun 30, 2020 |
Topson88: Normally when a company buys back its shares for example as dangote cement lets say the shares outstanding is 17,000 as at now so as dangote agrees to buy back 10% of its shares the shares outstanding is now 17,000*0.9 = 15,300 using previous profit as at last year of 200bn eps last yr = 200bn /17000 = 11.76 market price at this date stood as 165 pe ratio = 165/11.76 = 14x and if profit goes up by 5% as estimated from its q1 earnings 200bn *1.05 = 210bn eps = 210bn/15,300 = 13.7 market price automatically goes up as former pe ratio * eps as 14 *13.7 = 191.8 and if profit still remains the same the eps goes high, same will market price thats why i am so confused at the moment except its the dividend thats removed from its market price followed by the massive layoffs and bua cement tussle war or else i swear im confused as mad 4 Likes 1 Share |

THANKS GUYS FOR THE ADVICE ON DAM CEMENT i am actually a long term investor but looking at the nse market, companies have burned out investors fund over the years and i dont want my hard earned fund to finish I WILL ACTUALY HOLD DANGOTE CEMENT AND DANGOTE SUGAR and zenith and UBA but my portfolio is based on dangote cement more because of two insiders that purchased the shares at 138 and 139 and other insiders veritas that purchased at 169 because of the shares buyback and london listing which will increase eps and drive the share price up, but dangote fell towards 123 today, i guess its falling below its support level. i will hold till the end of july, right now i have lost over 70k on dangcement but i will hold, my biggest mistake was listening to my analyst instead of me of buying bua when it was 36. i will refinance and cut shorts of my expenses and buy in this preferences fcmb, pz, fidson forte oil and guiness and likely not stanbic plc the reason for fcmb is their recent purchase and insider purchase of share(ED) PZ, FORTE OIL reason for purchase is because of the downward trend, i feel pz will rise because it has so much revenue reserves and a well branded coy fidson(want to collect their dividend and run away because their interest payable on finance cost alongside its borrowings is too high and risky their gearing is not suitable for me to stay there long) Guiness - i see it rising despite the fact they issued bonds to its shareholders because nigerians love for beer is mad and also the coro issue will drive the share price up in some few weeks stanbic plc - this might be a little long term due to their holdings in different companies please feel free to correct me and add more information 4 Likes |

RabbiDoracle: That’s what I’m hoping, I also feel that the top Shareholders are manipulating the stock market so people will sell and they buy up to drive demand because apart from the sudden negative news of massive Layoffs, I don’t see how dangote cement would crash to 128 1 Like |

Don’t know what to do Bought dangote cement at 143 for 3257shares thinking I got a good deal After estimating from its eps that the market shares will grow after dangote buys back its shares.. but I’m left in a limbo now I don’t want to panic sell but I’m scared that dangote might crash further |

vkyburnz: GBAM U SAID IT WELL its God favour and smart work "let's make our nation great again" RANKING DEPENDS ON THE COUNTRY YOU DOMICILE, EXAMPLE OF IRISH RANKINGS ON JOB APPLICATIONS CONSIDERATIONS INCLUDE : 1. IRISH RESIDENT 2. EU CITIZENS 3. EASTERN EUROPEAN 4. AMERICANS 5. INDIANS/CHINESE 6. AFRICANS Despite the fact that some EU countries don't speak fluent English yet they get the job. Why they find it difficult to hire these graduates from NO 4 -6 is because they have certain conditions they need to meet, else they can't hire you and most of the employment contracts are for 2-3 years, so if your 2 years Stamp 1G expires, they have no other excuse than to sponsor you The conditions these companies need to meet are very tight and only top investment firms, Accounting Organizations(Pwc, KPMG etc) and blue-chip high tech organizations meet these conditions due to their capital structure and influences, these include but arent limited to the below points : 1. They have to prove to the Immigration officer that no Irish or EU individual can occupy that role 2. They have to keep that position vacant for the next 12 weeks 3. They have to carry out different advertising campaigns such as advert in newspapers, facebook, Instagram, indeed, radio and tv stations etc 4. They will have to pay close to 1000 euros for your critical work visa permit 5. They have to provide Garda vetting which takes about 2-3 weeks to show your criminal record In order for you to get a job in the top organizations listed above comes the toughest challenge as there are hundreds of people competing with you to get that role. Now you have to score at least 2.1 and above 400 points in your SSCE when converted to Irish standard, Some companies emphasize that you need to score Grade A or B in Maths or English ( An example is a screenshot added to this post) After meeting the requirements, you need to take an aptitude test which is extremely hard, the point of this is to reduce applicant to the barest minimum. I passed 2 and failed 3 test. Literally you will need to buy practice kit to prepare for them. TELL ME THE SMALL AND MEDIUM FIRM CAN WAIT FOR 12 WEEKS TO FILL A POSITION when they can get an EU or a stamp4 holder as soon as possible and this hindrance forces many people to do the otherwise Lastly, no agent or school can tell you all I said, they just want their commission and your fees. If you coming, just know what you want to enter, I'm not saying this to discourage anyone but at least someone should let people know the truth not false advertising campaign and promises from these colleges. It's a war zone. reminds me of the song by sean Kingston ft lil Wayne(at war) Read more on STAMPS https://www.dublininquirer.com/2018/05/02/although-keen-to-work-some-find-dublin-employers-won-t-accept-their-documents 2 Likes 1 Share

gurlnext2u: I havent seen but once you have the 1G and the renewal, you need to convince the Immigration Officer that you have tried to look for a job in your majors and couldn't find. You need proof which can be in the form of 1. Rejections from Different companies 2. Emails for an application not limited to the above but just a suggestion Im just praying to God that i will see something as soon as possible before depression kicks in |
