Igboid: Yes! Igalas in Anambra came in as either weaponized Invaders ie Igala militants who lost wars to Jukun Invaders and Binis, but trooped down to Northern Igboland with their superior weaponry, taking Igbo communities at that border by surprise. The Igalas were not stronger, they were just more battle ready and took these Igbo communities by surprise.
Ask the Northern Igbos. Their folklores speak of such Igala invasions. There was the one of Onoli Oboli and the one of General Ajida. These were the major Igala Warlords that disturbed Igbo communities in this part of Igboland causing massive migration downsouth for those who got tired of the constant wars and battles.
Notice how sparsely populated those parts of Igboland (Northern Anambra and Northern Enugu) is. It isn't by coincidence. War cost lives.
From my rational deduction, I deduce that not all those Igbo communities were able to successfully stage a comeback like the Aboriginal Igbos of Nzam did. I think many of them had to accept the Igalas as their superiors who in time ended making the history of these places to be history of Igala Invaders and not history of Aboriginal Igbos who had to deal with Igala aggression.
Those things are lies that started passing as truth. No Igala invasion into Northern Igboland. They came as farmers. I have one as neighbour. If there was a war of skirmish of such, I would have known. Stories would have gone round Igboland.
And there was never a time Igala had more weaponry than Northern Igboland that are living close to Awka (the home of the blacksmiths). All those things are made up stories.
Do you know the origin of the insult "onuku?" the full is "onuku Igala" do you?
OfoIgbo: You can kid yourself as much as you like.
Ngwa people also were half of the Igbo people that first settled in Ubani.
The Jajas own Opobo
And you can tell us what NWAOTAM means in Ijaw.
The ultimate proof is the DNA proof. All these concocted history by Alagoa, sponsored by shady Ijaw groups won't cut it.
Eventually when the Anambra cultural juggernauts get involved, you will be left with nothing. Eventually, Umu Nri people will want to know whether Ngwa and Ndoki and Amaigbo people subscribe to the four Nri market days. That will help to establish whether they belong with the Igbos or the Ijaws.
But first of all, go and convince the Ndokis to stop seeking to be a part of ENOA state, which is proposed to encompass some Igbo groups in the Niger Delta.
Even Amaigbo people will get involved at some point, and they will drag in their fellow Igbos that number in their tens of millions.
You have no chance whatsoever, especially as books written by ancient neutral observers have already made it clear that Bonny was first settled by Igbos.
Finally, what does IBANI mean in Ijaw? Feel free to ask us what UBANI means in Igbo
Nna, you don't need to explain yourself to anybody. We've analysed the history of those places a long time ago.
We don't have anything to negotiate with ijaws in Rivers State. Their encroachment started with Alagoa's textbook. Now is time for our own write up
Igboid: Well Nzam history spoke of a militant General Ajida who invaded the Igbo community of Nzam from Idah causing the Igbo villages to scatter However they later regrouped and conquered the Igala Invaders. Those who refused to surrender were killed and those who surrendered were assimilated as Indigenes of Nzam till today.
I wouldn't know how true the story is, but the current King of Nzam is from the blood line of those who retook the town from Igala and this was their official story.
It could be false or true, but it's plausible and rational.
Yes I understand many Igala refugees trooped into Northern Igboland following their wars with Jukuns and Binis and were accommodated by indigenous Igbos those places.
And today they are claiming the same Nzam. Honestly I've told people here before and will do it again. There is no single Igala village or community in Anambra. None. The whole land in Anambra belongs to Ndigbo.
We kept on entertaining lies and with time, they started passing as truth.
afube: the 3 tribes that are existential threats to ndigbo, fulani,Tiv and Ijaw..............see these 3 tribes they are complete heathens and we should watch them with clear eyes o! ijaw especially because they are so close...................its time to take off the gloves and take these dangerous people down!
I don't think we have issues with Tiv. The main threats to the Igbo nation in decreasing level of threat is Ijaw, Bini and Igala
SlayerForever: Igboid na Bkayy biko unu ga-enyem email unu.
Hope you people know that if this must happen, it is a full time something that requires alot of resources. I mean alot (not few hundred thousands) that people like Ọhaneze is wasting for no reason
Igboid: They wouldn't do anything, they can only bark.
This is my issue with Ndiigbo. We are too soft. The few Igala people in Anambra, we respect them and accord them their independent status. We even have news in Igala in Anambra state radio station to carry them along, despite the fact that these lots came to our land via invasion by the Igala general known in history as General Ajida. We forgave them and accepted their descendants.
But Igala people don't want the Igbos indigenous to Kogi East to be recognized as independent indigenous ethnicity in the state. They want them to be forcefully tagged as Igala. Igala is a minority and not up to 1/20th of Igbo population, but they are this expansionist in nature. Imagine if they had Igbo numbers and we had theirs?
We are not doing well, I swear.
First of all, there is nobody known as General Ajida. The few Igala people that came into Omambala areas came as farmers not warriors. The same can be said about Nsukka. They came and many never left. Our ancestors accommodated those that stayed because of some stupid reasons known to them.
In modern age, the Igala people in their Igala land made up those stories to make themselves look though but in reality there was no invasion whatsoever into Igboland. That aside, what Ndigbo need to think of is the future instead of fooling themselves of one stupid peaceful nature status.
Technically, there is no single Igala land in Anambra. What we have is few Igala cluster in the farmlands of few communities in Northern most part of Anambra bordering Kogi. They have no village belonging to them. All they rely is to drag igbo aborigines of those communities into their tales who are trapped into it because they want to be seen as the mighty invaders that took a land instead of a meek powerless aborigines. Most of those that say their ancestor is Igala in those communities are actually Igbo that want to partake in the fake brave stories.
I think the old age of being reasonable have passed. Modern Ndigbo need to think ahead. "Biri ka m biri" is Simply weakness. It is either you are taking or someone is taking from you.
I appreciate people like Ogbonnaya that are making the move to correct many things. It takes alot. Having said that, we need to reconsider the stance of the Ọhaneze ndị whatever they call themselves on Igbo affairs. It is either they change their name or step aside for a more serious organisation that understands the game to take over. I don't know for some but Ọhaneze Ndigbo does not represent anything Igbo.
If one may ask, can anybody point out one thing Ọhaneze Ndigbo have achieved that will maintain the integrity of Igboland or ensure the future of the Igbo nation is safe since its inception? Your guess is as good as mine. Absolutely Nothing
An injustice to one is an Injustice to all. If you are from any Nation in the old Eastern region whether you like IPOB, Biafra or not or a concerned individual that still have a touch with his or her humanity, it is your duty to stand in solidarity with this innocent girl who is a victim of oppression, wickedness and intimidation for no reason.
This is a girl kidnapped for exercising her basic right as a human being to wear what she wants to.
Let it be known everywhere that I condemn this kidnap
afube: on this issue I will have to disagree with you completely, no one can prove with any evidence the true origins of the people that occupy the land will call Alaigbo today!........not even you! but everyone is entitled to his/her belief........... I have studied the claims with an open mind and historical, biblical, historical, genealogical, linguistics, and genetic evidence indicates that Ndigbo and most negroid ethnic groups are indeed Hebraic in origin. there is no smoke without fire o!
Historical = We only knew about them in 1857 when Christianity was introduced to us
Biblical = That is Jewish folklore/history similar to our Eri story or Yoruba Oduduwa tales.
Genealogical / Genetics = I believe they have conducted DNA tests which showed zero similarity between us and them. Besides we only heard of the word Jew for the first time in 1857
Linguistics = Igbo is Niger-Congo while Hebrew is Afro-Asiatic similar to Hausa but I have never seen an Hausa man claim Jewish
Honestly, we have zero relationship with the Jews except for the fact that we are all humans
If we are to look at things critically, Bandits aka BOKO HARAM according to Malaifa have technically surrounded the Country's capital Abuja but for some reasons best known to the FG, they and media want the masses to focus attention on the ones in Zamfara and Borno. One can only be convinced that such move means few things of which one of them is that the surrounded has knowledge of those surrounding him and is assured that they won't attack him until maybe his approval.
One can also deduce from what happened in SE recently, that is UGM spreading from Imo to the actual target Anambra, that the main aim of this banditry in the North is most probably a preamble for the actual destination which is south, so that when it gets there they will defend that it is not ethnically motivated by reminding the affected southern States that is a national problem started in the North.
Now, when this happen will the real protest start. The protest of survival. That is most likely the predicted protest in the report.
Abc Ojiakor is doing well currently building pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Amawbia, near Awka in Anambra State.
Nice one. Akụ ruo ụnọ. It seems he still have interests in the health line, I thought he left it for good like Ngige. We are slowly but consistently getting there
Rain boots? Mtcheww, those are hired Ijaw swamp men disguising as Biafra. They've done this thing countless times but their rain boots give them out. Ijaw is filled with swamp so they move around in Rain boots.
Look at the Rivers monarch they kidnapped few months ago
