Egun are not Yoruba anyway. They intermarry a lot but they are a very distinct group with most of their numbers in Bene republic.

It is in Nigerian constitution, they are not Yorubas. Infact the two major ethnic groups in Ogun state, Egun and Ijebu are not yorubas. If you happen to see yourself there (ogun state) don't call anybody yoruba before what happened to me will happen to you.
If you are still wondering why Olusegun Obasanjo put so many Igbos in his cabinet when he was president wonder no more, he is ijebu and doesn't see himself as yoruba

Leave that guy, do you know that the two major ethnic groups in Ogun state are ijebu and Egun. The latter is recognized constitutionally as a separate and distinct ethnic group in Nigeria.
Ijebu was never part of yoruba and will never be.

If an Nsukka man speak here, you will be struggling to know whether he is speaking awusa of kanuri. In all honest Enugu state, particularly Nsukka people are not igbo
