By Brett Michael Dykes Share retweet EmailPrint, By Brett Michael Dykes brett Michael Dykes – Tue Apr 12, 12:23 pm ET As just about anyone who's ever worked in an office can attest, one of life's most festering annoyances are people who don't return pens that they borrow. Now it appears as though Czech Republic President Vaclav Klaus may be one of those people, and the citizens of the nation he rules over are none too pleased about it. You see, Klaus, whose most notable prior controversy was probably his flat rejection of climate change science—a position that he even appeared on Glenn Beck's show to tour—was caught on video coyly pocketing a ceremonial pen during a recent visit to Chile. What's more, the brazen stylus heist took place in full view of the media during a ceremony to announce a trade agreement. The video shows Klaus clearly admiring the pen, then slowly moving it into one of his jacket pockets as Chilean President Sebastian Pinera speaks to the assembled members of the media. Now, Reuters is reporting that some Czech citizens are accusing Klaus of being a kleptomaniac. But the president's staffers claim that he had every right to take the pen—and that he was, in fact, acting entirely in line with established Czech state protocols. "We at the Prague Castle always give such a pen to delegations, along with a notepad," presidential spokesman Radim Ochvat told the news agency. Beaf:Shut the fuxck up and stop chatting shyyit! You aint pulling outta nowhere! The West aint gonna let it happen, the rest of Nigeria wont support you, the Ibos cant wait to retaliate for yalls betrayal during the Civil War, and even the so-called Militants would probably Kidnap GEJ on behalf of The Federal Government if the price is right! You think anyone gives a Rat's aszz about your cowboy-hat wearing fisherman, YOU GOTTA BE CRAZY!!!! All his Godfathers'-----from Obj to Gen.IBB-- dont give a funck about Mr.Umbullerra: he's replaceable! All they give a fxcuk about is what they can get from him. Once he becomes irrelevant, niggas is either fleeing the country or they negotiating, cutting deals, snitching on each other or squealing about past crimes to the new govt. If this is true, I'll advice you to flee for the nearest border---you got one day left before all the borders are closed for Saturday's elections. Dont forget to kiss your loved ones good bye. . . . . . . . . |
Has anyone noticed how incoherent and asinine Beaf has been sounding on this post? If this is true I wait to see his Obituary in tomorrow's daily (except he goes to commit suicide in a creek deep inside the Niger-Delta). . . . . Ocnus.Net AFRICA Patience Not Prudence By Majek Adega, Sahara 10/2/10 Feb 11, 2010 - 1:27:44 PM Immediately after assuming office as the acting president yesterday, Goodluck Jonathan made a national broadcast to the nation. He promised many things, one of which is the prosecution of the war on corruption with renewed vigour. The relevant portion of his broadcast is reproduced below for the benefit of those who did not listen to his speech: “One of the cardinal commitments of this administration is our commitment to Good Governance, Accountability and Transparency. We shall continue to pursue these policy objectives with all the seriousness they deserve. In particular, the war against corruption will be prosecuted more robustly. We will therefore strengthen the capacity of the anti-corruption agencies and give them a free hand to prosecute the anti corruption war.†The question facing the acting president now is whether he can fight a more robust war against corruption when the money-laundering case against his wife, Patience Jonathan, has been in the cooler since he was sworn in as vice president in May 2007. How the acting president handles the issue of his wife’s charges will be an indication of where he is going to take us as a nation. I do not care how the matter is resolved, but a resolution is necessary if the acting president does not want to be held hostage over the matter and if he wants Nigerians to take him seriously. Nigerians want to know what happened to the matter. She was charged with money-laundering offences, the matter is before the courts, we are not aware of a dismissal (aka James Ibori style), where then is the matter? The more robust war against corruption the acting president has promised must include openness. After all, the stolen money belongs to Nigerians and they have a right to know what is being done to the accused looters. The acting president cannot promise a renewed fight against corruption while he is literally sleeping with one. It is in his best interest and that if the nation to have this matter dealt with expeditiously.  The original article dealing with the then charges facing the then vice-president’s wife is reproduced below for ease. EFCC v. PATIENCE JONATHAN (vice president’s Wife): Farida Waziri & EFCC please provide an update In August 206, the EFCC seized the sum of N104 million from one Mrs. Nancy Ebere Nwosu, an associate of Patience Jonathan. On August 22, 2006, Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court, gave EFCC the legal backing to retain the N104 million seized from an associate of Patience Goodluck, the wife of then governor of Bayelsa state, Goodluck Jonathan, who is now the vice president of Nigeria. The order was to stay in place “pending the conclusion of the investigation of the activities of the said persons in connection with their involvement in the acts of money laundering and other economic and financial crimes related offences.†The EFCC’s position was that Patience Jonathan stole the money from the public coffers of Bayelsa and was trying to launder it through her friend, Mrs. Nancy Ebere Nwosu. Like a crack addict willing to do anything for a high, Patience Jonathan was not going to give up her addiction to treasury looting simply because Nuhu Ribadu’s EFCC was on her trail. Determined to prove that only mere mortals shivered at the sight of EFCC, she continued with her looting of Bayelsa’s treasury with the full cooperation and assistance of her husband, Goodluck Jonathan, who was the then governor of Bayelsa state. The duo was so successful that on September 11, 2006, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) again seized another $13.5 million dollars (US) from Mrs. Patience Jonathan. Criminal charges were brought against her and Nigerians were awaiting her prosecutionto the full extent of the law. Shortly thereafter and in the face of these serious allegations, the insensitive Olusegun Obasanjo and his PDP that had become a den of thieves, nominated Goodluck Jonathan to be the running mate of Yar'Adua. Fast forward to post 2007 elections. Goodluck Jonathan is now the vice president of Nigeria, Farida Waziri the head of EFCC and whenever president Yar Adua manages to wake up from his near-permanent slumber he rants about his “zero tolerance†for corruption, despite having an indicted man as his personal secretary and dinning and whining with James Ibori. Farida Waziri would want anyone listening to believe that the presidency does not interfere with EFCC’s decision making process and Yar Adua proclaimed this much immediately after the conviction of Bode George.  After trying to deceive the public by blaming the judiciary alone for the near snail speed prosecution of public officials facing corruption charges and then advocating for psychiatric assessment for public officials who dared to steal more money than she realized from defending criminals and scheming a percentage off the money she is recovering for the banks. Farida Waziri is in the news again. This time around, she is advocating for the death penalty for treasury looters. It will be easier to understand Farida’s cries if she had prosecuted and jailed the corrupt public officials under existing laws and was now seeking the death penalty to discourage reoccurrence. But we all know this is not the case. Notwithstanding the hypocrisy involved in Farida’s “notice-me†advocacies, I am in complete agreement with her that public officials found guilty of corruption should be tied to the stake and publicly executed. My only concern is she is aware of the fact that she would be among the first to be tied to the stake and executed under the full glare of Nigerians should corruption be made a capital offence? Sorry for the diversion and back to the issue of patience Jonathan. The case against patience Jonathan has gone cold since Jonathan Goodluck became the vice president of Nigeria. The case has gone cold despite relentless denials of political interference by the EFCC and the presidency, although the president has publicly acknowledged directing investigations into certain allegations when such suits his political purpose. It has gone cold despite Yar Adua’s broken-record equivalent repetitiveness of zero tolerance for corruption, a repetitiveness that leaves Nigerians with two options: the president is either “419â€ing Nigerians with his proclamations or lacking the intellectual capacity to comprehend what constitutes corruption. In the past, Farida Waziri has been quick to blame Sahara Reporters and its ardent followers for drowning out her so called anti-corruption message, despite her trepidations and failure to grant a single no holds barred interview to members of the “non-friendly†press since assuming office. This is her chance. Nigerians want to know what happened to the case of EFCC vs. Patience Jonathan. You can lie to a blind person that there is no oil in the food but you cannot lie that there is no salt.  |

Ummmm, GEJ, WHAT SAYS YOU? |
omanzo02:Your story sounded fake as hell, hence my decision to check your Previous Posts to see where ur support lay. . . . . You didnt disappoint! |
For once Beaf is "Right". . . . Same polls also show that if GEJ should lose Nigerian Presidential Elections, and overwhelming 98% of The U.S population say they would like to have him as their President instead of Barack Obama. Most of the people polled cited admiration for Dame Patience Jonathan and the way she pronounced "Unbullerra" as their reason for wanting them as leaders of the free world~! |
Pataki:Oh, snap, I forgot to add the point that as the professional liar that he his, instead of telling Nigerians the truth, this man lied that he played basketball and squash with Pres.Yar'Adua----even tho the President was in a coma! |
aisha2:I actually think "it is fair" to look at things from different angles. Before, I felt bad for GEJ even tho I'd never heard of him and I got into all kinds of fights in forums on his behalf. . . . but now thinking about it, he clearly had a plan all along and was just waiting patiently to execute it. He didnt care enough to pay his last respects to a man whom he served under! |
I'm pretty sure the populace has forgotten incidents like this. Little issues like this should have informed us on how evil this guy really is. Even at the point of threats of death: YOU STILL HONOR YOUR FRIEND ON HIS LAST JOURNEY FROM EARTH!!! Two things come to mind : (1) GEJ never viewed Pres. Yar'Adua as his friend (and, going by his recent actions, was probably wishing he died sooner so he could become President); (2): GEJ is deceitful and owes noone any loyalty----even if that person is his Commander In Chief! When Pres.Yar'Adua's wife had GEJ doing her laundry and blood-stained underwear, we call came to GEJ's defense. The moment he became President, his real character came to fore. First he paid homage to the North, then he went to war with the North. When he needed support he remembered he was part of the Ijaw Nation and quickly absolved MEND of bombings which they claimed responsibility for. Then he played the Ibos by suddenly "remembering" he was Ibo----Azikiwe Ebele became his new name. He promised Ibos the Presidency in 2015, smiled and left Ibo leaders salivating. . . . Then he went back up-North to seek the support of the Hausa-Fulani, reminded them he was part of the North (Probably promised to become Muslim and take a few 13year old brides from Egypt as wives also--- we all know how desperate he is), that he had a Northern V.P--- then he promised them the Presidency in 2015. THE SAME PRESIDENCY OF 2015 THAT HE PROMISED THE IBOS 3 DAYS PRIOR!!! Then he smiled and left some of the Northerners salivating. Unlike their Eastern Bros. the Northerners seem to know a dummy when theyre being sold one. The he moved West, and, upset that he couldnt penetrate their intelligent and educated minds with his illiterate and unbulleraa-like ideas, proceed to insult the Yorubas as a bunch of rascals! Glad to see he nailed his own coffin. I have read extensively about Nigeria and I can tell you: THIS IS THE WORST ADMINISTRATION IN HER HISTORY. 1. Reports of Hunger across the land are rife----- EVEN THOUGH SENATORS UNDER PRES.JONATHAN EARN MILLIONS OF DOLLARS EVERY 3 MONTHS!!! 2. GEJ'S MONTHLY BUDGET FOR FOOD IS OVER $20,000----- THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN MANAGES TO SURVIVE ON $60 a month ($2/day). 3. Under GEJ, bombings, which were unheard of in Nigeria, have become as common as getting in a fist fight. Clearly, in a bid to malign his opponents, AND ELICIT SYMPATHY FROM THE POPULACE, GEJ introduce bombings into Nigeria's Politics. Remember he blamed Gen.IBB as the mastermind of the Oct.1st Bombing-----TWO WEEKS LATER HE WAS IN FRONT OF CAMERAS EXTOLLING THE EVIL GENERAL AS "A GREAT MAN WHO IS LIKE A FATHER TO ME". . . . the height of desperation. 4. Under GEJ, Nigeria's treasury has been depleted to fund a Presidential bid based of greed. I could go on for days. This man's sins are many and unforgivable and I still cant understand how anyone, in good conscience, could actually fight to put this pretentious monster at the helm of affairs that controls their destiny!!!! |
^^^I went in on him a few months back and got banned for asking a simple question: Why dont you ensure that your govt allows the children of Nigeria enjoy 1/100 of the luxury your children, and the children of your cronies, are presently enjoying? |
Jonathan Shuns Yar'Adua's Burial Tony Ailemen, Muyideen Salawu and Mohammed Kabir 7 May 2010 Email|Print|Comment(15) Share: Abuja/Katsina — Thousands of mourners gathered in Katsina, Kastina State yesterday for the burial of former President Umaru Yar'Adua, who died late on Wednesday at the age of 58, after a protracted illness. But among the crowd of sympathizers who thronged the Katsina Township stadium, venue of the funeral, President Goodluck Jonathan who took oath of office earlier in the day was missing. Speaker of the House of Representative, Mr. Dimejio Bankole, led the Federal Government's delegation to the burial, which had in attendance, former Heads of State like Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida. No official reason was given for his absence. But a Presidency source who would not want to be quoted told Daily Champion that there was nothing special in the President's absence, since it was entirely an Islamic affair. He said: "Yes, President Jonathan did not attend the burial but there is nothing to that. Remember this is purely an Islamic affair. He would visit the family soon." However, Daily Champion gathered that Jonathan stayed away from the funeral after security reports warned him on the danger of attending. At the funeral, crowds of men dressed in multi-coloured traditional robes flocked to the stadium in Yar'Adua's arid hometown near the border with Niger. Thousands more sat quietly under the shade of trees outside the venue under the watch of armed police and soldiers. Businesses and shops were shuttered and side roads were clogged with bumper-to-bumper traffic. Vanguard President Goodluck Jonathan, led by Chief Justice Katsina Alu, takes the oath of office. Mourners packed the runway of the city's airport and watched the arrival of a plane carrying Yar'Adua's body from the capital Abuja, while crowds lined the streets for a glimpse of the motorcade. The body of the late President was conveyed to Katsina International Airport in an airforce military plane in black colour and escorted to the state by top military officers. The prayer for the late President was led by Sheikh Liman Abba along with top government officials from various states in the federation. The body was received by the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema the chief mourner of the occasion and the two prominent traditional rulers in the state, the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman and Emir of Daura Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar. The body was later conveyed to the family house on Nagogo road where necessary Islamic rites were performed before it was taken to the Katsina Tonwsip stadium where necessary prayers were offered. Wife of the late President, Hajiya Turai Yar'Adua was brought by an airforce jet together with his family members and immediately left in a motorcade to the family house on Nagogo road. The Katsina Airport was full to the brim as important personalities including governors and ministers waited for hours before the body of the late President came into the airport by 2.30pm. Meanwhile, Jonathan yesterday took oath of office as President and Commander in-Chief of Armed Forces, with a promise to ensure that votes count in 2011 general election. In his first broadcast to the nation after taking the oath of office, President Jonathan reiterated his commitment to leaving a democratic legacy that Nigerians will be proud of. "As I had stated time and again, we must enshrine the best standards in our democratic practice. One of the true tests would be to ensure that all votes count and are counted in the upcoming general elections." The ceremony was witnessed by the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole. Others include state governors including Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun, Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Theodore Orji of Imo, Alao Akala of Oyo, and Gabriel Suswam of Benue. Also present were members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), service chiefs and other top government functionaries and politicians. The President also promised a total commitment to good governance, electoral reform and an intensified fight against corruption which would be pursued with greater vigour. "Similarly the effort at ensuring the sustenance of peace and development in the Niger Delta as well as the security of life and property around the entire country would be of top most priority in the remaining period of this administration." At a brief ceremony after the oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Katsina Alu at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, President Jonathan praised late President Umaru Yar'Adua, describing him as "a man of great personal integrity, deep devotion to God and outstanding humility. He said Late President Yar'Adua displayed an uncommon commitment to the peace, progress and unity of our country adding that his exit "has therefore created a huge vacuum in his personal contributions to the political growth and development of our nation. I have lost not just a boss but a good friend and brother." He expressed his condolences to Hajiya Turai Yar'Adua, the children and the extended family, just as he noted that he was assuming office as President under "sad and unusual circumstances." He said it was a major burden on him but hastened to add that the citizens must remain steadfast and committed to the values and aspirations of the nation. "In this regard our total commitment to good governance, electoral reform and the fight against corruption would be pursued with greater vigour. As I had stated time and again, we must enshrine the best standards in our democratic practice. One of the true tests would be to ensure that all votes count and are counted in the upcoming General Elections. Nigeria's Jonathan Absent At Yar'Adua's Burial NEWS — Nigeria: Jonathan, Obasanjo Absent From Funeral NEWS — Nigeria: Jonathan Sworn in As President - Absent At Yar'Adua's Burial "Similarly the effort at ensuring the sustenance of peace and development in the Niger Delta as well as the security of life and property around the entire country would be of top most priority in the remaining period of this administration," he assured. Before the depature of the body of Yar'Adua to Katsina, Chief Imam of Abuja Central Mosque, Ustaz Mus Mohammed was called upon to offer special prayers for the late President. Daily Champion observed that Yar'Adua's family began to move out of the Aso Rock as, as early as 2 a.m yesterday. At a brief ceremony at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, the body of late President Yar'Adua was received by the service chiefs. Top government officials including state governors who also accompanied the body of the late President to Katsina witnessed the airport ceremony which was brief but impressive before the body was finally flown to Katsina for burial. The body was draped with green-white-green Nigerian flag and put into C130 Aircraftwith Registration Number NAF 913, just as the ceremonial 21 gun salute was observed before the take off of the aircraft. http://allafrica.com/stories/201005070012.html |
Poor Beaf, even when he pretentiously tries to sound diplomatic, he still ends up sounding like the uncouth, loud, aggressive, deceitful and evil purveyor of untruths that he really is. . . . How does GEJ's as*s taste? |
yoni1977:Crap!!! If GEJ can smell that seat, I think Gen.Buhari needs to have it glued to his butt! Shameless, illiterate, GEJ! |
gernded:So what if he WAS born a Muslim, What IS he NOW? Even the Present Pope was a Youth Fighter for Adolf Hitler. He was a Nazi, and yet today he leads Billions of Christian Faithfuls and is probably the most influential and most powerful man on the Planet today! Even Jesus wasnt born a Christian, you do know that, right? Now tell me what is wrong with Gen.Buhari's running mate formerly being Muslim! |
^^^Bro, u startin to sound like a stalker! If ure this controlling when she aint even gave u her number, whats gonna happen when u start going steady?! ![]() |
cold:Youd think voting would just be as easy as going to the subway and taking a train to your destination or getting on a bus and riding on smooth roads, vote and head back home. But, I heard that on a TYPICAL day, the complaining voter probably woke up hungry (he had nothing to eat the night before and he has no money), had no money for toothpaste (so he didnt brush before he left home), didnt take a shower because he had no soap---- and quite frankly because the Government hasnt thought to provide all her citizens with a basic amenity as simple as water---- walked the 12 miles to the polling station cus, again, he has no money for transportation and even if he did---- the Govt, hasnt thought it necessary to provide him and over 90 percent of Nigerians with effective transportation. God helps him if he runs into a gang of Cops, a bribe will be demanded. If he runs into thugs he'll be robbed of the little he has left. If he's kidnapped, well, he's good as dead cus even if is ransom was $3 he'll never be able to pay it. If he "zones-out" and, while day-dreaming, mistakenly bumps into a Soldier he's told to "roll" in mud, like a pig---cus, honestly, thats how the GEJ led Govt. sees him! He walks to the polling station, dirty, dusty, depressed and farmished. . . . he just stares into the distance. He's hungry but he's thankful that he didnt visit that rally where Dame Umbullerra Jonathan was giving out gigantic bags of rice (Obviously, your entitlement as a citizen of Nigeria in exchange for 4years in power----- and Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in the Private Accounts of GEJ and his cronies! Hey, who needs to provide his constituents with jobs that can help them live well, EVERYDAY, for 4years when we can easily give them a bag of rice ONE DAY, EVERY FOUR YEARS?!?). . . . . . . Anyways, he's happy he didnt go to the rally because his neighbor, Emeka, lost his wife at the Patience Jonathan "Rice-Distribution" rally----even though he (Emeka) somehow managed to get two bags of this wonderful rice. Pictures of Emeka wailing while sitting on one of the bags of rice, next to his wife's corpse (and the other bag of rice) has circulated the internet; he couldnt even risk leaving the bags rice to go seek help to see if she had even the minutest of pulses. Poor guy, probably figured "Why lose my wife and food all in one day". . . . . . He gets to the polling station, weary and gaunt and after waiting for hours he's approached by a man who gives him the equivalent of $6 in exchange that he votes so that President Jonathan can continue to spend $20,000+ on food EVERYDAY for himself, Dame Umbullera, and their two daughters. He takes the $6 but he knows who he's voting for, and he'd be damned if his reward from the government for being a Nigerian Citizen will be only $6 in 48 months! He waits a few more hours and is told, along with others, that Election Materials still aint arrived from Japan so he has to return on Monday. He cannot believe his ears! He remembers the trouble he took to come over to the polling center, and the one he'll face on his impending journey back home and he just cant believe his luck. He cant believe the fact that he'll walk twelve miles back home, hungry, dirty and still hopeless in a land full of plenty, but, hey at least he made $6 for just standing in line. . . . . . AND SOME FO*OLS STILL WANNA VOTE GEJ! |
Ok, if the good Prof. said "Do not vote PDP", I do not see that as an endorsement of CPC. . . SO WHY ARE THE GEJ SUPPORTERS SHAKING IN THEIR BOOTS OVA CPC?! |
" I believe by now PDP helmsmen should be considering taking on second careers. May i be so bold as to suggest stage acting, fantasy playwriting/scriptwriting, occasions and event management, party and event security (bouncers) amongst other wonderful professions that they seem to always get right. The problem is for them to come out on top even in this field, outclassing our friends and collegues already there, may require some form of rigging, manipulation and truth bending and mending, "----- Kola Osafehinti (on FaceBook) |
"I know in my heart that at 12am midnight on the eve of Buhari's swearing in as President & Commander in chief, all corrupt politicians and thier cohorts will relocate from this country. Change! is really coming at last" .----- Emeka Tarmaya Ogbu (on FaceBook) |
