FamilyRe: Wives: Would You Submit Your Paychecks To Your Husbands? by blablabla(m): 10:59pm On Jun 14, 2006
The ideal family is one where the husband and wife are equal, it is not a case of submitting your paycheck for him to manage or him submitting his paycheck to you,
but at the end of each month, two of you draw up a budget based on combined income for the month, your anticipated expenses, necessary investments and other family financial obligations, some money is also set aside for each person as 'spend however you like money'.

Each expenditure is debated, planned and agreed to by both of you before it is made. This way, the family is run as a unit, great savings can be made and you guuys might really retire young and rich.

However, when everyone is his own master, money is wasted on frivolities and the financial vision of the family unit is lost in a maze of questionable independence.

Your money and his money should always be OUR MONEY, OUR, OUR, OUR, TWO PEOPLE WHO BECOME ONE, thats the whole essence of getting married abihuh
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Floats Airline, TV Station & Fast Food Outlet by blablabla(m): 10:39pm On Jun 05, 2006
religious matters are deep issues not to be taken lightly,
only God knows his own,
we must not judge 'men of God'
let's not preempt pastor chris, like the 3rd term wahala,
if BLW enters the arena of business, am sure they will be treated like all businesses, until then, keep from calling men of God names, you might mistakingly insult a real man of God and 'vengeance is mine says the Lord'

PoliticsAGIP: Any Government In Power. Who Are They? by blablabla(op): 2:14am On May 29, 2006
ANY GOVERNMENT IN POWER (A.G.I.P)
as we approach 2007,
let's help EFCC draw up a list of all the unprincipled people who have been in most, if not all governements since 1979,
me I vote for Jerry boy of MAMSER, and O.J of the Abacha for life era,
who else?
BusinessRe: Richest Person In Nigeria by blablabla(m): 12:48am On May 29, 2006
unfortunately, nobody can ever answer that question in this country because we are a country of 'anything goes' to qoute Baba himself when Abacha was in power.

back to the gist,

only established corporate entities and the poor souls who work for the(PAYE) them pay what may be said to be the approprite tax in Nigeria. Most private businessmen grossly under report thier income and with a very weak IRShuhhuh?? The richest man in Nigeria might actually be one trader in Alaba or upper iweka in onitsha.

most of the VIPs (Vagabonds in Power) have what I would call occult (hidden) wealth and most of it is stashed outside this shores, so where do you place them or rate them?

there are less than 5 Nigerians who own over 80% of the shares on the SEC individually and through proxies, these men are silent operators, at the last count the net worth of the lagos exchange was in the trillions of naira so where do you place them?

only God in heaven can answer this question,
HealthRe: Menstruation Is Fast Becoming Optional [ladies] by blablabla(m): 12:19am On May 25, 2006
without bringing too much technical jargon,
ocp's work by messing up the perfectly synchronised hormonal balance in a woman, these hormones do not only affect the monthly period but also play a lot of roles in other bodily functions,
allowing for withdrawal bleeds while on the pill somehow trys to restore some sanity to a messed up system
the long term effects of prolonged medication induced ammenorhea has not really been adequately studied, and may be likened to introducing entropy into a perfectly synchronised system.
my advice,
if you are single and want to fornicate>use a condom, it prevents a lot more things than pregnancy,
if you are married and need contraception, there are a myriad of methods out there,
if you are adventurous and love using ruitine drugs for 'unlicensed indications' go ahead, block the flow for good,
but it sure would be wise to wait and see what new research will show
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi For President In 2007? by blablabla(m): 8:06pm On May 11, 2006
HA HA HA HA HA grin grin grin grin

what we need in Nigeria is a benevolent dictator (cant remember where that term came from, but it explains my beleive since I was in secondary school)somebody who will either kill or imprison a lot of the sociopathic morons parading/or have paraded themselves as leaders in the past.

utomi, if he wins comes in as a democratic president with huh?high intellectual capacity in the midst of mediocres who have come to shop (chop), the man will either be frustrated like the Late Bola Ige in NEPA or sent to join up with his ancestors in the great beyond.

we need to get some people out of circulation in this country, make everybody equal before the law, make all multimillionaires account for the source of their wealth or forfeit all if they can not explain how they became multimillionaires in the first place, make all past leaders account for their stewardship and make all government deals(cept the ones that have to do with national security)open to press scrutiny and so many many many other drastic things, this country can not and will not move ahead.

pat utomi, can talk all he wants with his gang, what Nigeria needs is not eloquence, what we need is a social revolution.

WHO WILL LEAD UShuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh?
PoliticsRe: Fg Draws Roadmap For Space Mission by blablabla(m): 7:37pm On May 11, 2006
typical of my country,
misplaced priorities,
sometimes you wonder if the people doing all these things live in this country,
whatever happened to good roads, water, healthcare, education,
meanwhile, will the astronauts who will make this feat possible be Nigerian trained or imported from china? considering the state of research in our higher institutions,

May the good Lord deliver us.
TravelRe: Is Life Really Better Abroad? by blablabla(m): 9:01pm On Apr 16, 2006
people, you've all derailed, the simple question was, is life really better abroad?

oasis, has said it all, talk is cheap, anyone who thinks he is so patriotic and loves Nigeria more than all of us should come and hang in my area of the country, hunt for a job with his oyibo degree without links, claim right of way with the yellow devils and report a ruitine case of theft to a local police station or call the fire service, etc etc etc, if he/she is still around after one month, I will pay my full years salary to compensate

baby,

please tell me,

where shall our deliverer come from?

the PDP, AD, APGA or is it ANPP?

no,no, now I know where! an independent candidate ABI?

remember my theory, on an individual level, every Nigerian working with God has hope, can redeem him/herself, but the corporate entity Nigeria is HOPELESSLY HOPELESS

if you have not been to europe or the americas,

bid your time until you get there

then you can feel the overwhelming wrath I feel,

towards all the people who have ever been in Government, and had the privelegde of visiting these countries only to come back come chop money, seun, forgive me, but I think they all should be taken out and shot

may the Good Lord deliver all of us.

AMEN
HealthRe: Sisters Trying To Get Pregnant by blablabla(m): 11:08pm On Mar 13, 2006
nikinash:
statistics suggest that 20% of adults in childbearing years have conception problems.
The causes of infertility may be classified into four major categories;
(1) the female factor,
(2) the male factor,
(3) combined factors,
(4) unexplained infertility.
great effort at educating the females, but you forgot to mention that in over 25% of cases, no matter what test you do everything is normal, and this group have UNEXPLAINED subfertility, in this group only God and advanced assisted reproduction techniques can aid them. Luckily, we can offer almost all types of advanced assistance in Nigeria.

keep the good work up, niki

originally, I came for a course on hazmat training, and all my certifications, the intention had always been to come back, but the orderliness and efficiency of the health system really tempted me, and that was why I got confused,

I got only 14 days from the office, my ticket was for 14 days stay, my I-94 still has all the days plus my 14, but what would I stay to do, and men, I dont want to work 3 jobs no more, I do my single 100k job and do my runs from the side and plan for a better, longer visit next time.

if I had stayed my 6 months, next visa application becomes sort of dicey, the gamble? do you think I dont have nightmares about the worst case scenario?

but kokscity, GOD is on my side.

fire service, fire service,
help, help,
IT WAS A MISTAKE.
but this kinda mistake, once made,
becomes so easy to make again, again and again.
sometimes you even look forward to making the mistake.

Oga, go thee to your wife,
never meet your single mistake prone collegue in privacy ever,
stay away from gists that beget fires with damsels,
but will you listen?
the fire has been lit,

well, I dont want to get into specifics, but am now sort of a small expert in HAZMAT operations, I have a hot new software from the US, EPA, I may be one of the few people who know about it in Nigeria, The other certifications and devices have to do with acute medical emergencies, This forum does not allow adverts, so I will leave it at that, am also not allowed to put my email here so, Seun over to you, how do I go to specifics without breaking the rules?
TravelRe: Should I Come Back To This Hopeless Nigeria? by blablabla(op): 7:18pm On Mar 13, 2006
my people,

I thank all of you for taking the time to really talk to me, now I really know that the question came rather late, well, I thank Oasis, Kimba Prince onx, Chinani and everyother person the kind and even the unkind words, Seun, you wont really understand, Luridguy and Kasaliyaro, sorry to annoy you but I can say it to anybody anywhere and at anytime this our Nija is a HOPELESS case. but come to think of it, where will our salvation come from?

People I came back, against the wishes of my siblings there, against the wishes of some of my friends, I came back, am back on my beat, the traffic in apapa the other day after the rain brought me down to mother lagos.

I came back with new skills, new certfications to carry out health personnel training for industry, new contacts for marketing absolutely essential medical devices, commonplace in the USA, but not existing in Nigeria.

I now have a registered company to sell my new skills and devices, while planning the American attack for another day, God is good and am hopefull that the Nigerian factor wont catch up with me,

People, I fit not to leave my one and only, I fit not to marry oyibo, I fit not to leave NAIRALAND,

TravelShould I Come Back To This Hopeless Nigeria? by blablabla(op): 5:14pm On Mar 10, 2006
It is now exactly 2 weeks since I got into the United States of America on a tourist visa organized by my wonderful fiancée (of many years standing) who works with a travel agency in Lagos. Two agonizing weeks of utter confusion and indecision about coming back to Africa, I mean Nigeria, Lagos to be precise. I am not sure I have been able to catch more than a couple of hours sleep daily in the last 2 weeks trying to decide what in God’s good name I should do with my life. Two days from today, my official leave from my office in Lagos finishes and my ‘non refundable, unchangeable and lowest priced return ticket expires. Should I come back?

I am a medical doctor working in one of the highest paying medical jobs in Lagos at slightly above 100k a month, have held this job for just a few months now, and it has been my best job ever. Prior to starting work in this heavenly place, I was doing three (yes, three) jobs, 8am to 5pm(daily for 55k), 8pm to 7am (daily for 35k) and alternate weekends (Saturday 8am to Monday 7am for 7k), altogether 97k/month for doing three jobs. There are nights when I don’t get any sleep at all, days that I spend dosing while attending to patients and weekends that offer no respite whatsoever to my stress ridden work schedule. I have a car, (which my 13 year old niece hails as an ‘accident waiting to happen’) that ferries me to all these different hospitals where I work, several times in the past I have contemplated parking the car and using the horrible transport system in Lagos so I can save money on the maintenance of my vehicle: however, a personal experience with the popular ‘one chance’ bus robbers and several gory tales from my friends about this innovative robbers scare me so much that I continue sinking money into the car to keep it on the road.

Ever since I suffered a humiliating beating in the hands of mobile police thugs escorting a VIP, the sight of policemen gives me the jitters. The funny thing is that I got the beating after one of the sleek cars in the convoy brushed my jalopy, I heard the siren and quickly parked my car off the road, the VIP car still managed to come and hit me and I got beating black and blue for that, if I had been the one at fault would I still be alive today?

I am fed up of this country, everything just sucks, there is no way forward in this country. I am so Confused, should I really come back or become an illegal allien in yankee?

TravelRe: What Is The Best Way To Get US Visiting Visa? by blablabla(m): 4:18pm On Mar 10, 2006

this is my first post, and am already tripping, yankee visa is purely God's case no appeal possible, as in if God decides you will get it, you do, if he decides otherwise, no matter the documents you have nothing for you. How to decide what God wants? All depends on your relationship with him, so, apply, but have your facts right, if you are between 21 and 35, forget holidays, think of better reasons, yet to meet someone between 21 to 35 going for a holiday who was not bounced.
