The guy what kind of a sick human being are you? Stop posting pictures of dead corpses on a public forum without warning you freak !!

I wonder why people complain about these types of pix. It's disheartening to see dead people or mangled bodies but these are the realities of war,you cannot seperate both. No wonder you read people writing: what if Nigeria attacks Cameroon or Algeria attacks Nigeria, they don't think that it will be a bloody engagement, all they think is the fantasy of shiny armour, SOF and war planes.

So these bastards came in this morning with spotters in our gear and vehicles. The unit stationed at the area flagged them down and they refused to stop and kept waking like a friendly force . The unit got ready for the worse thinking it was an "actual" friendly force being chased by those idiots Tilk they opened fire once they got close.

Fortunately, the good guys blew off them gasket which made their vehicles spoil and a radio call to nearby units. We were stationed where we are for a purpose. The person in charge needed a go-ahead order for us to move in as we're were about 17km away.

Little did they know that was an advance party shocked they came in large number and go-ahead was given for us to move in. The naval boys seems to be more excited grin while some where scared of an impending ambush as we moved in.

Luckily for us, some mopol guys working with the army around our route were on standby and we used their help to navigate through a safe route.

In short 26 bastards KIA. Zero military casualty

This here is good news, wish we could be having this as daily breakfast. Their mode of operation you described is same described by one fulanNasrallah on twitter, using own forces uniform, call signs and gear to penetrate outer defences. His description is somehow detailed and my question is, who is this guy? Just a journalist? Why I had to ask this question was him using "enemy" on the Nigerian army to describe some BH actions against the army.

First things first. NFF has to sack our Coach. He's not good enough.

A coach who still doesn't know his first team players, and first team formation should look for another job. I mean from the world cup to this point, it's not good enough.

Akpeyi is a very poor goalkeeper that's widely known.

Apart from our defence, the tournament also exposed Ndidi. Ndidi I was hoping would use this tournament to push for a move to Man United was totally abysmal.
In my own opinion Ndidi was the best in that team through out the tournament.

Since the Nigeria army now produce vehicles , how many will the federal government buy from them? Why are we not producing the irigiri in large quantities? In fact there is no news about the irigiri anywhere again.

I'm not sure I got the spelling right.

You got the spelling right but you forgot to add another "jiggy" at the end to make it "irigíríjiggy" grin . Don't worry we understand you.

What to do? Lets hear from the serving NA officers of whom there are at least 2 on this thread while you give your suggestion on dealing with the High Command.

That's only one option among several. The current NA response is simply unsustainable on all levels. If it were me I'd turn to STTEPS since the Sri Lanka scenario would take another decade and a half to operationalize.

If you de facto cede a part of the country then be ready to give more. One of the conditions, amongst others given to the govt to discontinue the fighting is to declare sharia in Nigeria and therefore make it an Islamic republic. STTEPS is not an option as said by the present govt and I agree with them. Why do you think we've the present scenario in the North East for almost ten years? Your guess might be as good as mine. There is a capability gap vis-a-vis equipment, training and doctrine, but they are not completely incapable. If the military for the past 5 years are doing the same thing without achieving much desired result against an adversary that's not a near peer then the problem is from the military command.

While I do know France is backing BH heavily its been 7 long years. The command and control issues along with motivation, equipment and TTP issues still seem unresolved. Its time to bite the bullet-come to a de facto agreement with BH meaning cede some territory or bring back STTEPS with a clear mandate. Otherwise the slow bleeding to death of the NA continues til it reaches breaking point-if it hasn't already. There's no magic wand to solve systemic NA problems-Tucs and tac air will help but not solve the problem which imo is a doctrinal crisis coupled with Command and Control issues that need top to bottom reassessment.
OR,go the Sri Lanka way-the war against the only conventional set piece battle fighting terrorists, the LTTE was won after a quarter century after platoon and coy commanders painfully learned lessons on the battle field and later led brigades and regiments. Here's the story of one 2nd Lt later Col.Perera.

It seems once they UNLEARNED Brit indoctrination and developed more suitable tactics they won the war.

Are you really serious on the above quote. Cede territory to Islamic fundamentalists that are very different from the Tamil Tigers? Why not say just give up and cede the whole Nigeria to ISWAP.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by blacKDalia: 11:03am On Jun 30, 2019
We've read and heard about the military sustaining casualties, if this is not enough commitment then what else or until everyone dies? There is a training and doctrine gap that needs to be filled in the military but on the interim the commanders know what is to be done. They will not do it because they like the status quo to satiate their bottomless appetite for filthy lucre. Agreed that some of the statements made by that officer might be selfishly motivated, political and ill advised, we cannot deny some of the truths.

Una never dey serious. Just like I always argue that the problem of Nigeria is not that of leadership. The leaders know the right thing to do, but because the people are not serious to call for accountability, the leaders will always ef us thru the ass. The COAS' statement is truly demoralizing and unfortunate that it's coming from the top echelon of the military, the worst he could've done is give a motivational speech. That statement he made is a self indictment.

One patriotic mumu will soon come and tell me this kind of thing happens in the USA angry

Foolishness and political correctness will never make us crush insecurity in Nigeria. OBJ made it clear, Fulani herdsmen should be ruthlessly crushed. Let the herdsmen go back to sokoto or zamfara if people from other tribes do not want them to settle on their land.

You can't come to my farmland, ruin my farm with your malnourished cows all in the name of one Nigeria.

For this country to be able to take a great leap, we need to change the way we run things, if we're scared of the sentence "division of Nigeria" we can just practice confederation, this way we can make the 6 geo political regions strong republic under the Nigeria federation. The geopolitical region should have their own security operatives(military and non military) the federal government will only be in charge of foreign affairs and currency. Once we practice this confederation, any region that wants to practise full sharia will be able to do so, and anyone that wants to turn is region to a ranch will also do so.

I can assure you 100%, nothing will happen to the herdsmen that committed this crime against humanity, buhari won't even say anything concerning it.

As for me if IPOB can be proscribe a terrorist group, I see no reason why Fulani herdsmen won't also be proscribe a terrorist group.

It seems the unity of Nigeria is more important than the lives of the people living in this mere geographical expression.

The Nigerian elite, including the military don't have any sense at all. They that like milking Nigeria dry, If I were to be in charge of the Nigerian military, I will try to keep them apolitical and unbiased in Nigeria. They are the last bastion of our unity and if they should start fighting among themselves, the presidents talk of "one indivisible Nigeria", will be a mirage and the oil money that they so crave will be gone. This is not 1966, it will be hard to keep one Nigeria if the events of 1966 repeat itself.

Well it is real that defend pussies like u so enjoy Ur privilege

In a way there seem to be truth in what he is saying. We seem to view human life as nothing as long as it's not our own that's killed;for those that are dead because of the ineptitude, nonchalance, idiocy and wickedness of govts past and present, indeed the Nigerian state has failed them. When you grieve because of friends/family unnecessarily lost in the North East, then you will understand. When you know that in the midst of the sufferings ongoing in the North East some people steal from the funds allocated for the war to build mansions and sponsor girlfriends, then you will understand. Nigeria has failed that patriotic soldier that was willing to fight and indeed layed down his life for us keyboard warriors but was short changed by the people entrusted to make sure he was well trained and equipped for the task in the North East. Nigeria has failed those that have been attacked in their homes at night when they were asleep:toddlers maimed, mothers, fathers hacked to death by "herdsmen",dreams and aspirations cut short, for in death there's no light. Indeed Nigeria has failed them.
