As at today development in AKS starts and stops at roads. I mean clean good roads. Besides that I beg to differ. Note that Delta is almost 3 times the size of AKS in landmass.

Funny enough aside from chest beating and typing plenty they're yet to drop pictures of even asaba the capital, talkless of other cities properly developed. What's the point of making money when nobody can Google warri or sapele or ogwashi uku and see development on ground. I dare them to Google eket, ikot ekpene, itam etc and see how oil money is spent. If akpabio had judiciously used Akwa Ibom money we would have been very far competing with Lagos but he still tried tho I give him the accolades.

Like I said, this is a thread for ipoos to laugh at us. We from the SS know the truth about our states. I have lived in AKS, Rivers(still live here) and Delta, currently my work locations take me to both AKS & Delta on alternate month basis. I see someone posting Ikot Abasi and I was rolling on my bed in laughter.
Someone was even talking of onna , the other was listing Ibeno of all places(this tells alot about the average mentality of what akwa ibomites see as development).
There are more to development than what Akwa Ibomites are happy about. Well AKS is growing and we are all happy about it, however it's not there yet, it hasn't gotten to the level of Delta yet. If Delta continue at its present rate and AKS continues like this in the near future it will get there.

Dont get me wrong, AKS is one of the states I love, infact it's a state after my heart simply because it gives me something 99% of the places in Nigeria cant including my beloved Rivers. That's serenity. However development is beyond this. There are many indices which Delta still trumps AKS in.

I look beyond one good road with long span of bushes around.

Mr considering we are a state created as recently as 1987 compared with our fast rate of development and following older and more established States like Rivers, Delta,kaduna,enugu etc hot on their heels tells u alot. I didn't mention Lagos cus is still in a league of its own although if we can get the oil companies to relocate back to the SS our revenue will increase while theirs will drop.

You've seen Akwa Ibom beats Delta in infrastructure, we beat them in cleanliness as we're the neatest state in Nigeria there was a thread on it too , and about security we're the safest state in the Niger Delta.
About poverty rate they're the second least poor state in Nigeria after Lagos and we give them that but we're also in the top least poor state coming behind rivers State. About education Akwa Ibom is not in the educationally deficient state category so yes we're doing well for a state that is about thirty something years old and the and among the youngest States in Nigeria. We're doing well
