the community college here costs $3K per semester, that's 6K a year, or 12K for just 2 years of school.

That's quite a bit of money, for someone who doesnt know how much they will be making at the end.

That is the problem in Libya and Egypt, they pay for those kids to go to school, they come out and there is not enough of a professional workforce for them, they sit around and get upset. Although Libya was more an example of that than Egypt, which was just dirt poor.

They have also removed the price ceiling, so schools can charge whatever and the govt will loan money(through corporations).

It has created a whole industry out of it, where everyone was fooled into believing that if you went to college you would come out and get a good job. There is a whole story about that, too long to type, and nigerians wont believe it anyway.

Anyway, the problem with your proposal is that almost all of West, Central, and now North Africa is under French control. How do you expect leaders to agree to plans that France will not support? France has the power to wreck havoc even on the most open minded leaders because they control the CFA Franc. France along with the EU funds almost every regional bloc in Africa, esp. of note to you would be ECOWAS. So how do you expect this to ever happen? Ghaddafi had the money to make it happen irregardless of what Europe wanted, no other African country has the money, maybe ZA, but they are not interested.

Its interesting because the more articles you read, you realize the only reason the insurrection was able to happen, was because Ghaddafi was beginning to offer his people more freedoms. If you really read the early reports, you would know the protesters were being allowed to protest, but they were becoming very destructive. Beyond the level the London riots reached, and you saw how british police responded to that.
