How does one defeat the spambot? I have a post which i believe is important, and I cannot post it because the spambot says I am spamming.

Every time I try to repost, no matter how many links there are(down to just 4) the spam-bot blocks me.

For all intents and purposes electricity was free for most Libyans. The articles you posted say that electricity was only paid for by 40% of Libyans, and that even then the electricity was subsidized and only cost the equivalent of $0.01US or 2.60 Naira per KWh.

The refrigerator in my house costs 60KWh per year to run. If a Libyan had a similiar refrigerator, it would only cost them $0.60US for the entire year to run my refrigerator. In my state, electricity costs $0.10KWh from my service provider, 10x what a libyan paid, if they paid at all.

Regarding the two links you posted regarding interest, the key term that the book mentions, is that this is the interest rate for commercial paper.

This has nothing to do with whether or not individual libyans actually paid interest, because it is the interest rate banks charged other banks and companies who needed to borrow money to meet short term debt obligations. Not surprisingly, on the list you mentioned, only Belarus has a lower interest rate than Libya for even this purpose.

Can you show me a video and not just hearsay? From what I understand, several soldiers were killed in their barracks by the marauding rebels of benghazi, there is proof and pictures of this. This is what a FN-303 looks like,

As far as the bombs being dropped, the two libyan pilots who defected to Malta claiming they had orders to bomb civilians, arrived in Malta ironically with two "unauthorized" French helicopters fleeing benghazi. The French had no paperwork to backup their claims of being oil workers, and just so happened to flee at the same time as the two fighter pilots?

Not to mention, airforce colonel Abdullah Gehani Libya had been indicted back in January(while he was away in Paris!) on plotting against the govt with the french.(2nd link)

The Libyan pilots you mentioned, never dropped any bombs, no evidence has come out that bombs were ever dropped on civilians, and Saif-Al-Islam has said that aircraft were only sent with to destroy ammunition depots being raided by the rebels.(but it never happened).

Yet, they used information that was not true. The 130 soldiers that they claimed were killed by ghaddafi for not firing on protesters included these 22, which were killed by protesters. Here we have an article in the Guardian, detailing how one man suicide bombed himself into the barracks in Benghazi. Remember those funeral processions ghaddafi soldiers were shooting at? The city of Beyida has seen some of the heaviest clashes between protesters and security forces, with police stations set on fire. Police responded by rounding up activists. In Zentan, south of Tripoli, hundreds of protesters marched through the streets and set fire to a police station and government offices, before establishing a camp in the centre of the city modeled on Egypt's Tahrir Square.

It has been widely reported, even by western media, that Ghaddafi himself lived very modestly, like a poor man almost.

It was his children that spent the most money, but even then, hundreds of billions of libyan money was frozen overseas. Alot of this was money Ghaddafi had invested in other countries, companies, and industries for the Libyan people. Maybe they didnt produce and export much, but they invested alot in other places.

I have seen these videos coming out of libya, but most of them if they were even alive, they knew they death was coming and were somewhat calm but scared. That poor girl, she did not want to die. She fought and fought and fought the death that was coming, when cut back to her 5 mins into the video, convulsing, in shock, still fighting, I just couldnt take it.

I dont think all these people who claim the West is so much better than whatever Ghaddafi did have seen these videos. They can't, because I dont see how they can worship France for "liberating" the Libyans, while France slaughters the Ivorians. People even seem to be missing the fact, most of the libyan anger was fueled by reports first coming from French agencies, that Ghaddafi was using african mercenaries.

The people of Libya, thousand of home died, and many of whom endured 8 months of blood and death, to see to it that this man is done away with are rejoicing. Why do have a problem with Nigerians who are happy with these people? Do you not see that this might be you PROJECTING here?

You do realize most of the anger against Ghaddafi was racially motivated? Because Libyans have satellite TV(thnx to ghaddafi all of africa has satellite tv) they were watching news on Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya and U.S and British stations saying that Ghaddafi had been killing citizens of Benghazi with "dark skinned mercenaries from sub-saharan Africa.". In particular they named, Chadians(who are arabs), Nigerians, Nigeriens, Malians, and Sudanese.

When Libyans heard this, they didnt like the idea of these evil blacks, these slaves, killing libyans for ghaddafi, they thought ghaddafi had gone mad. The truth which has been confirmed over and over, is that these were black libyans, but many racist libyans did not want to believe this, and its why wherever they go, they kill most if not all of the blacks they find. They have been screaming "african mercenary" the whole war for this very reason, the only reason most of them have the will to fight.

I actually could post you a live video of libyan soldiers before they were killed by rebels, telling the rebels they only shot at them because the rebels were shooting first. Would anyone watch it? Probably not so i wont load it.

Also, police in libya used non-lethal weapons I believe it's the FN-303, its like a beanbag or something. So shots u hear fired doesnt necessarily mean people are being shot with lethal ammo.

You do realize he offered compromises and agreements but NATO rejected them and said he had to go? I remember hearing somewhere that he did offer elections but the idea was rejected because they said he would cheat, and NATO agreed.

For people who say that nobody in libya wanted ghaddafi, all you have to do is watch the videos and see that hundreds of thousands of people wanted ghaddafi, it is kind of hard for individual people to fight against bombs that fall out of the sky. Ultimately, the bombs and siege tactics will win.

What the rebels did, was kill everyone in every town that they saw supported ghaddafi, there were alot of people with axes to grind against ghaddafi, and nobody protecting the people who supported him.

The city of Tawergha, 30,000 people, almost all black, were systematically killed by the rebels for supporting ghaddafi. Same with several towns in the Nafusa mountains where people fled before the rebels even got there. That does not get popular support for a war does it? That's why its not reported on CNN and MSNBC, agents of the govt. MSNBC is owned by the 3rd largest weapons manufacturer in the world.

I like how she believes African leaders and the African people are actually controlling who is in power. She thinks they have independence.

It shows the consequence of trying to rule with harsh tactics regardless of how loved and respected one is. This also shows the importance of self reliance and awareness among African nations.

I wish people would stop saying this. People forget it took MONTHS of bombing by the worlds most powerful armies, it took months of planning and smuggling weapons into Libyan cities while imposing an arms embargo on ghaddafi.

Even stationary soldiers who were not attacking anyone were killed, even defensive positions were attacked by NATO. In the end, the city of Sirte would not give up, and they were bombed to oblivion because of it, NATO violated the Geneva Conventions and international law to bring about this victory. The Rebels spent the last two months attacking Sirte and Bani Walid, and only now after the entire cities have been destroyed has victory been realized.

Throughout the rebellion, hundreds of thousands of Libyans poured out into the streets in support of Ghaddafi. You cant forget that the rebels were detaining and killing anyone with a green flag, so people really dont have anymore freedom than they did under ghaddafi.
