Break Even should be placed only when price is in serious profit, then u either trail ur stop or set target price

define your goals and have a target. if price hit your trailing stop at break even as a result of pull back watch it, wait for it to continue in your direction then you can open another position provided all your system criteria are in order.

But then I still remember what pipsbasketing told me here few months ago. I'll paraphrase.
"it's good to look at the chart but don't dwell too much on it".

Looking at the charts everyday like I used to almost made me start seeing same thing on all pairs. Trades were going fine till I started having a Massive DD and almost doubted my strategy. Right now, I Know better. Taking time off the charts for sometime is also a strategy. It's refreshing really.

Even when the mentor is telling you. You will not get it completely. Its better to see the history through the charts and experience it happen live. With good risk management, you will survive the reality of the present and this will prepare you for the rewarding future.

I'm not saying u r wrong sir.. But first thing is when is a market consolidating? So if we say a market is consolidating mean it is gathering momentum to resume it movement either to d upside or downside same goes for a ranging market too.. I will just use the word consolidation to generalize both choppy n ranging market..
Well that's my own understanding of the terms

Consolidation and range mean the same thing..
When a market is consolidating then we can also say it is ranging cos it can't go beyond key support and resistance level at that time before it continues in direction..
So in general we can say the market is in a state of rest

I think to the contrary sir.. I see all AUD pairs trending upwards lately and given that the pair looks to be obeying an uptrend since March of last year with the last candle expressing rejection I think it will go up yet. I stand humbly corrected though, here to learn from you bosses
