All this would have been prevented if the government was serious in eliminating these terrorists.

When smtn like this keeps happening u need to fight it from the sources not the surface or they will keep coming back. It's human greed and maybe other agendas. Identify their source, where they come from, how they survive and operate. What form of intervention to apply.

Soon negotiations will start. Then the military will say they have surrounded the bandits.

The purported advertisement had no link whatsoever with the restaurant.

The very fact that they can arrest an officer of violence for breaking the law is a good sign of the strength of rule of law in Northern Nigeria.

Like if Soldier or Police breaks into a store in South and steals things, can they arrest him?
