I still have your picture. Your picture that you looked bony and skinny sitting in a poolside of a cheap hotel.

You'd be avery easy pick, and you'll stay in the dark for a long time before seeing the sunlight...

Boss, I can see from your comments that you're hitting it big on Upwork.

I like to consider myself a writer although I have not written any ebook before.

I don't get paid to write on Nairaland so you may notice some errors in my constructions, lol.

I would appreciate some help.
Family / Re: A 50-year-old Man Impregnated My 16-year-old Sister. by Blackmiserable(m): 3:58pm On Sep 11, 2021
munstaqq:
Dear Nairalanders,

With a sad and heavy heart, I'm writing to seek your advice and/or recommendations.

My mum is late. She died 2 years ago and since her demise, everything has turned left for us - her children. We were deserted and left to fend for ourselves by our uncles, aunties, and other relatives that we thought were with us when my mum was alive. My dad is still alive but he only pretends to care about us. I can't even remember the last time he has done something good for any of us. Our school fees, food, everything, were taken care of by my mum.

There is a 50-year-old man who we were later told is our distant relative. His house is a stone's throw away from our house. When I was at home, I used to run errands for him, like going to the market to buy things for him. So it was normal. He used this same method on my sister. He took advantage of my sister's naivety and impregnated her. She's barely 16 and I swear to God, she has not known any man until this bastard did this to her. He even ran away from home and plan to come back when tensions are low.

Note: we left her in the village with my dad and my brother. We, the elderly ones left the village to hustle in the city. We have not settled and we couldn't afford to take them with us.

Please I need your advice. What should be our next line of action? He's 50 and won't marry my sister. There is also a high tendency that he won't even take care of her and the baby.

Please what should we do? We are all we've got and nobody to turn to to help us fight this battle. What should we do?

Thank you.

A villager with very little formal education writing like a Ph.D holder? Continue, you here, continue making up fabricated stories, we can see through it ooo

Education / Re: What Is Your Worst Exam Experience? by Blackmiserable(m): 10:05pm On Sep 01, 2021
Davefed:
It was during my 100 level logic exams. My friend and I sat closer together during the exam, hoping to share and transfer knowledge in the middle of lockdown. A girl came around and begged us to allow her to sit in the middle. My friend and I reasoned based on the girl be fine girl and we allowed her to sat between us. Exam started and the girl was spying from us both and when it reached where we don't know the girl closed her script and didn't allow us to see one thing. It became obvious that we will fail that course. I couldn't spy from my friend because of distance between us and funny thing the invigilator came and stood beside our sit. After the result came out I failed and my guy got C and the girl passed.

She's not fleecing him.

The Law makes such provision because it is impossible to determine how much a partner may have sacrificed for the other to climb to the pinnacle.

Perhaps she wanted to be a medical doctor but had to forgo such as a sacrifice for her husband.

Perhaps she sold her heirloom to assist the man in achieving his dreams.

One cannot put a price on how much a partner has sacrificed especially over decades.

We are not interested in Western dogma. We say no to Western bullshit.

They are not the arbitrar of right and wrong. It may be right in their own perspective but we are as much entitled to our own opinion here. Shoving bullcrap down our throats is a NO-NO.

That said, it is one thing for Paul to divorce his wife and she in turn demands X amount as some sort of compensation even without going to court and another thing entirely for the wife to divorce her husband and still have guts to make demands. The latter is sheer tyranny.

If you can't live up with his moral failings, kindly leave. You have no rights to his resources if you want out of the marriage. I don't see how that is hard to understand.

What are her contributions to the marriage. Maybe we can start from there: she cooked Paul's meal for 17 yrs of her marriage. Well, it was Paul's money she used to do the cooking. She didn't cook out of pocket. And if she did, she was going to recoup the money through other means, anyway. And before we forget, It was a joint benefit since she ate from the meals. He could have easily gotten a maid to render the service as he is wealthy.

Finacials is really out of it.

Companionship and childbirth? Yes, we can all agree on that honestly, but then, it is for this very reason God created women. Women do not do men favours by birthing for them. It is a duty. Your monthly flow is a reminder of your obligations to your creator. If you need your compensation, seriously, you'd have to beseech God.

I do not honestly understand why we are short changing men who have made a career for themselves the hard way. There's no amount of justification or rationalization that could justify one partner getting $15k monthly from the other partner even in the US. This is utter foolishness and utter madness and I wonder what makes any rational mind think that a wife's sacrifice is what makes a man what he is. I totally and vehemently disagree and you could argue this with me. I have to honestly agree with one poster, anyway, enjoy women but love God.

Romance / Re: Why It Is Dumb To Think School Is Scam . by Blackmiserable(m): 9:18am On Jul 20, 2021
bodybuilder:
It's not like everyone that went to football academy turned out to be a rich pro footballer, or went to acting school became a Hollywood star, or attended a fashion academy became the new Virgil Abloh. So, why do you think you must make it big because you attended university, thereby calling school 'scam'. For every Wizkid there are hundreds of thousands possibly millions of aspiring musicians that never turned millionaires through their music. For every Marcus Rashford there are millions of young footballers that won't make it pro. Y'all making look like you can have it easier in other fields. For me going to university is the easiest legal way to earn a living. You have better chances of being rich as engineer, doctor, etc. than a musician or footballer.

By the world need academics to solve real problems. The world needs engineering, medicine etc. No matter how rich you become through any other field, we need engineers to build roads, bridges, airplanes, electronics. etc.
We need chemists, physicists, etc.

I can bodly tell you that there are more wealthy engineers than musicians in Nigeria.

Our idea of school is a big, a very big and mighty scam. The country practices a 6-3-3-4 system where you have to be schooled for 16yrs to be called a graduate with hopes that you should be gainfully employed in the society.

We basically went through a lot for 16 yrs. Waking very early in childhood and shuttling between cities as young adults during our university days. For what reasons exactly? The certificate.

The certificate is the government and society's surety that we have acquired requisite skills.

Think of being an apprentice under someone, learning one skill for good 16 years? Just think of it. Imagine that you have figured out the nitty gritty to be entrusted with a project after the duration of your training but you are finding it very hard to get a graphic on the so-called "career"? Or not enough projects to go round after that duration of time?

Would you not just believe that the job isn't meant for you? Something is wrong somewhere?

The society (you and I) has been thoroughly scammed that what works elsewhere can be replicated here. Even more is our employer, the derelict government has not made us yield the dividends since the almagamation of this country in 1914.

You shouldn't learn a skill for 16 yrs and struggle to make ends meet. Period.

I know it happens in most countries too. Even tier one counties. Less than 2% of coutries enjoy the dividends of what we call education

Or look at it this way, if the general trend is heavily skewed towards a particular direction, we call that the norm.

In the same vein, since only a tiny fraction of people benefit from education compared to the total number of the schooled, we could confidently say education doesn't work here. A western construct. A scam. Since after all, a lot of people do not directly benefit from it after rinvesting so much. It is not very different from MMM
