MRosario: Yes it isn't. I never said it was.
That is why I said in my previous post that orgasm is nature's way of rewarding us for voluntarily releasing sperm...
...which by the way is a foolish thing to do if we consider man as an individual, but if we consider man as a specie, it is the right thing to do.
Nature sees man as a species, not as individuals, that's why males are cursed with high testosterone, ejaculation and libido and in the same vein are rewarded with orgasm.
Mother nature didn't waste so much time fine tuning the sexuality of males in a specie, for the male to be celibate or monogamous.
But we can't have randy males roaming the world with erect organs looking for the nearest female to impregnate, that's why we invented marriage.
Marriage is totally a social construct, so you can't bring it up when discussing biology, you will never win. Nairaland too has some very intelligent fellows. Tell me more. How does nature see females and why do you think marriage and biology are polar opposites? |

placeofallure: Don't exactly get you There are lessons and sublesons in your write-up and the sublessons can be further broken down. And that too, can be broken, O boy. I am talking of a combination of moral lessons from the story, the depiction of the human characters and their attributes and the outcome of the story. The education gained from this "negative" albeit good experience would linger long. |

placeofallure: Never to attempt a paper without reading the instructions.
Way back in the University, there's this 300 level core course I was to sit for. From the past questions we've seen, it's usually 3 questions and you would be required to do 2.
Now, I was one of the best in my department, I was more than ready for the paper. As I took the question paper, I just studied the 3 questions and picked the 2 I was most comfortable doing. I settled for number 2 and 3. I did it with all vigour and zest, then submitted. I was waiting outside for my friends to finish. It took them a while. They came out of the hall and we were exchanging some banter on the just concluded paper, I wanted to show them how I did it. As I held up the paper to say something, behold the instruction was staring back at me..... Attempt question 1 and any other one!!!! Choi!
I quickly rushed back in to see if I could be allowed to correct my error, I was denied even though the paper was still ongoing. Then I resorted to begging the lecturer on subsequent days to just allow me do number 1, he refused. This is a lecturer that was like my godfather. He never begins lectures without first asking after me. That was his way of ensuring I wasn't missing class. I was handed over to him since my 100 level by my big sister's friend and he has since been responsible for me. People thought we had an affair but we didn't. He was too serious minded. I carried the course over. He gave me 39 in that paper, pass mark was 40. Funny enough, I wasn't angry at him. After sulking initially, I accepted his decision. We need upright men.
Our friendship continued and he even ensured he supervised my project. His refusal to budge taught me a big lesson I'd never forget. Hmm. In the school of hard knocks, the lessons from this story would full 100 A4 paper. |

Toks2008: You are Absolutely right but unfortunately, most of the ladies we now have will rather use the time when they ought to be productive to start looking out for a man that can cater for them rather than go out to cater for themselves. I have to agree with you sir. Sadly and quite honestly, a lot of women fall in the category you described |

Randy91: You have not travelled out ALL your life...
Leave the shores of AFRICA to other developed continents, then you will see that WOMEN DON'T DEPEND on Men!!!!
They fuvking work for their money!!!!! Women do not depend on men because men have created enabling atmosphere for women to thrive without them. It still boils down to the actions and inactions of men. And the women you talked about, hmm, to be honest there are five times as many women who depend on men in advanced countries like the US, UK, Australia, etc, etc, than they are men who depend on women. Just as there would always be poverty stricken people even in the most advanced countries, there would always be far, far more women who depend on men for several reasons. |
Romance › Re: Dear Men, Before You Give A Lady Your Money. by Blackmiserable(m): 10:32pm On Oct 04, 2020 |
PoliticallyInco: Give a lady money? How many ladies have given me money and who says I have to give a lady money.
These ladies have hands, legs and brains. So why should they be a charity case? God forbid I raise daughters this way. Just because nature gave you a few features to enable you bear babies, you have turned it into a commercial venture? If nature wanted you to rely on men so much it would have not provided you with arms, legs and a brain. One was quoted as saying girls are now wise, they are following the money. That is wisdom? Well okay. If stupid things make you happy who am I to talk. As long as you aren't getting the money from me and as long as you don't come complaining when your economic master that you are a slave to treats you like shit because he pays the bill, then I have no problems with your decision. Enjoy.
Or are we saying the society affects girls so much that they become mentally retarded at making ends meet? Are we saying the society has stunted their mental and psychological development to such a grave extent of mental retardation that they can't possibly work to make their own money and use it as they will. Was a curse placed on them never to make their own money and spend it how they like? Do they enjoy being economic slaves? Recently a lady said most young girls/students will die of hunger if married men remained faithful to their wives. While I am no saint, it is not that these girls will die of hunger. THEY WILL DIE FROM GREED! GREED FROM WANTING THINGS THEY CANT AFFORD AND HENCE NOT LIVING WITHIN THEIR MEANS.
Listen, If the lady isn't a minor or an aged relative then she is not getting a dime from me just like that. In other to get a dime she has to earn every penny of it by working twice or thrice as hard to earn it. It would not matter how many positions of the Kama Sutra you know, how good the head you give is, how wet you get when I slam into you from behind sending your juices splashing everywhere, or how good your food tastes, or how domesticated you are, or how saintly your character is. And oh I also don't kid myself that I am the best man out there. Just as you aren't the best woman either. So please make your own money and "eat" it alone. Let me make mine and enjoy it in peace with legit dependants. See ladies, there are a few ways to earn money from me and I promise you,you must work thrice as hard to earn it and secondly it isn't through any form of sexuality or the stereotypical gender roles of a lady.
I live for myself first, then my young and aged dependants next, then the less privileged, before I then consider a woman. Strong wine. I respect your opinion honestly. But why do you think nature has domesticated women? Just some heads up, by nature I could also mean God. Now, why do you think women have, in a sense, being domesticated? They are not as strong and resilient as men. I mean, the chore of providing basic necessities from antiquity had to do with strength, agility, and swiftness? Imagine a world of women. Not a single man. Not one. Do you think they'd be better off technologically, scientifically, and even material-wise? Hell no. But why or put differently, why would they be worse off? Now, look at it from a biological pov. Let me chip in for a moment about how reproductive anatomy favours men. Back in time and even now, the average woman is worried about quite a number of things that has to do with biology. If you know the number of women who have stayed back at home because of painful periods, heavy period, irregular period, or even period leaks, you would be shocked. This kills productivity for no fault of theirs. I am not in anyway encouraging laziness but God who created women from men has made it such that most women would have to depend on a man for basic necessities. Seems like one of the curses though. It is not sexist but the truth. |

Arrewa: First of all... I'm not an Islamic cleric.
I have studjrd both the Quran and the Bible.
Outside of the Quran there's no way I can prove the existence of anything concerning Islam.
Religion is faith.
However I strongly believe in humanity.
I believe that if you are doing the right thing... Helping the less privileged, planting trees, standing tall for humanity... If there's heaven you'll surely make it!
We don't have the right to question ones existence.
The God that created you a Christian didn't hate you.
We have trillions of people who are not Muslims.
I can't Condemn them to hell just because they're not Muslims You have answered me satisfactorily to an extent. Nagode!!! |

Arrewa, yakake? Ya garin ne?
I was banned by Nairaland bot because of what I was going to talk to you about, sadly. I pasted it and then boom: notified of my ban.
I just completed the duration of the ban though, so instead of she said, he said, I will keep it short. Very short and just ask anyways.
Please can you quote a text from any inspired text outside the Holy Quran that talks about the prophethood of Muhammad, his divine calling, and what he would do?
I am questioning the authority of the Quran, not the claims the Quran makes. If you have to prove anything the Quran says, it has to be another text of Scripture, not the Quran.
We cannot use the Quran to prove that the Quran is right.
She suggested a book by John Fontain and she agreed with the author's sentiments that previous original revelations were sent, alright, but they got lost or missing or corrupted in time.
And I said that is enough reason to discard your own truth for want of evidence too.
I put it like this:
Imagine for the sake of argument the original revelations has for centuries been irrecoverable lost or missing or corrupted. No such thing as authentic Talmud or New Testament manuscript. However, if whoever comes with the claim that the original revelation is lost and puts forward a different or similar revelation, then the person has to prove his translation with another divine text since we are talking about the divine and what he wants. With what revelation do we compare and contrast his claims? There is no original revelation to vet and compare. I mean, there's no way to prove he is right or wrong. There is no manuscript to compare his claims with. Nothing. To vet, compare, and contrast any of his claims, we need a previous revelation that ratifies and proves that his claims are legit, he is indeed a prophet, he is.... but now, they are all lost. |

Arewa the (Futa D'jallon), you seem to be a very cool headed fellow and in all honesty, I salute you.
I mean, despite many negative remarks by Nairalanders about Islam, you seem to still be one of the few lonely voices in the wilderness.
I shared my Telegram details with you because I want to chat you up on the Quran's authority but you, for your own reasons, didn't add me up. It is alright.
Just to give you some perspective. There is this Hausa girl whom I had a crush on and who used to top our class back then in FGC Kano. Then, ah, the girl brain dey shaprapra lol.
She later read medicine at BUK sha and we got talking recently. I point blanked asked her to convert me to Islam and she started. I said that because I know she wouldn't be quite comfortable talking about anything else. I needed to just discuss anything with my crush.
I really wish I could share our chat transcript, but no, I can't. I promise not to divulge our details with anyone.
At one point, I said something about Muhammad concorting fake conspiracy theories and not surprising, she said she wasn't going to answer or chat me up again after read that with some red, angry faced emoji and she didn't afterwards. Not only that, she logged out of Telegram because of this too. It was totally funny and weird and unexplainable.
Like, if I saw her now, I would not say more than greetings and be on my way because that's not right. That is NOT the way you win over someone who is not convinced about the Islamic faith and its prophet. If muslims continue like this, they would lose intelligent converts because intelligent people need more than "allow your mind to convince your brain" or so, as my crush puts it to give you any chance.
She is not as intelligent as I thought.
So I'll tell you how our conversation goes tomorrow and I'll quote you when I'm done.
Just signal your interest, I would make it short and concise. |

crackhaus: Lol, it may never get to that.
The idea of common-law partnerships/marriages would usually make sense when you consider these criteria that should be met: – Having child(ren) together – Living together/shared accommodation continuously, not intermittently. – Shared ownership of property – Shared bills/addresses on IDs
If the two persons in the OP had all of this, the court judgment would honestly make more sense to anyone considering that they had built a life together but simply did not take marital vows – spousal support here would be very understandable.
But what happened between those two was nothing more than boyfriend and girlfriend matter, none of the usual criteria for CLM were met. So is that judge not mad like this... It would be anything but understandable sir. Even the US president doesn't earn $50k in two months and we are talking of a month. I honestly have no words to describe this folly. |
Family › Re: Man Ordered To Pay His Ex Girlfriend $50,000 Per Month In Canada by Blackmiserable(m): 1:01pm On Sep 12, 2020 |
MrBrownJay1: He didn't spend on her, he changed her life entirely, thus because they were common law husband and wife, she can now claim to be accustomed to such lifestyle, and desire to continue living like that. If the man was broke and she was the only one working and taking care of the dude, then the man could sue and ask for the exact same spousal support.
The marriage refusal is irrelevant since the man kept being with her this whole time, and whether they are married or not, the law is the same.
Not at all....even if the woman did absolutely NOTHING, she is still entitled to spousal support in order to continue living the lifestyle she has been made accustomed to by this man. You are confusing spousal support with a settlement to get half of what a husband made during marriage. Different ball game. She doesn't want half of what he made during their union, she just wants to be able to continue living the lifestyle she is accustomed to (thanks to this man)
I think it is fair as everyone knows the law... And any fool who thinks it is ok to have a lazy spouse at home while using money to put them in a certain lifestyle, while that spouse does absolutely nothing, shouldn't/cannot drop them at the snap of their fingers. Stay in your lane instead of trying to change desperate people's lives
Simple common sense would fix such issue....have your woman WORK, Have her contribute to whatever lifestyle you guys are into, have her PAY for such lifestyle, if you are rich and bring some poor woman to your life then within 6 months you have to make a life decision: keep her around and possibly have to pay her spousal support OR get rid of her (or have no paper trail that would link your life to hers) My goodness, oh madness and folly, to be lamented with tears of blood. Wait a minute, did you really mean what you wrote up there in response to Buka.tyne's comment? I mean, you're joking, right? |
