[s] budaatum: A cattle ranch is a farm! And no one expects current cattle rearers to be able to invest over 100million doing ranch, though, they can sell some of their cattle to raise money to purchase land. But money isn't the only issue here, they still have to learn new methods of farming. I doubt current cattle rearers are up to it because to become a ranch cattle rearer of the 21st century able to invest 100m, you'd need a university degree in Fulanism or cattle rearing, a profession just like doctor, lawyer, accountant, farmer. The old tradition of foraging cattle is unacceptable and this so called Ruga is its coffin. Current herdsman who cannot evolve should go to school or learn a new profession! [/s] Obviously you are not being reasonable |

AZeD1: It's 2019 why is the federal government interested in ranching?
If I decide to start a farm today, I'll go and buy land in which I plan to use on farming and that is the same way anyone who wants to rear cattle should buy his own land and build his ranch. A ranch is not a farm. We are talking investments of over 100million. That is not a project u expect a cattle rearer to be able to do. Meanwhile herdsmen/farmers clashes rages on all around the country. Not to talk of mass unemployment and poverty. What do u expect fg to do?:He reasonable. I hope those who are shouting against ranching gdont expect to be employed by fg on those ranches tho |

tactius: Best to set up ranches up north
Then set up modern dairy processing plants, public private
Then transport cows, meat products, etc down south by railways
And Nigerians and cattle herders should trust the law enforcement agencies to sort out their differences. Not the thugs. Funny enough thats d whole idea. Ruga will be in d north. But I know these same Se and ss will cry later |

I understand its normal to fight for your people, its equally normal on the other end aswell. Ruga is not a gift to Fulani's. Its a federal govt project for cattle ranching. But d activities are not limited to ranching. I wish nigerians can wake up and think logically instead of knee jerk emotional reactions based on bias and zero evidence. This is a project that will put food on the table, money in the pocket and jobs for d unemployed. But all these people can focus on is Fulani tribe. Sad really |

ofeco: I don't think he sounds arrogant, his questions are correct, FG should start the program from the core North like Zamfara, Borno, Sokoto, Kano, Kastina, Yobe, Kebbi etc. they should start the pilot phase there, when we see the viability and how it will benefit other parts of the country before diving into it. Every policy in Nigeria is always presumed to be beneficial to the masses until after implementation that is when we get to feel the pains. If truly RUGA is very good as claimed they should test run in their states. Shey u just like to blab. Go back and read the news on ruga before talking trash. The 11 initial states are not in south |

You are just gonna sit there in your little space and be typing all that gibberish, and the next person reading this will be ranting inanities from his own comfortable space. Last I checked, this country is filled up with cowards who can't stand up for any just cause but would quickly kill their brother over a border, a woman or a piece of land. Look around you... What do you see? Chaos, a very big mess.. The kind that requires a higher power to sort out. But here is hellhole.. Higher powers don't visit hellholes. The calvary isn't coming bro... Just sort yourself out and do your time. Your tales of gloom and doom are part of the very factors encouraging extreme laziness in the youth of today |

[s] iJhoe: You are the one who lacks logic and reasoning here. people possess a functionally integrated mental system to detect conspiracies that in all likelihood the writer has logically foreseen. Obasanjo create perfect prediction to what might be termed to be very true. If this agenda succeds in all states of federation. You are outflanked even in your community with reserved privileges from the top to favour a stranger over you in your locality. While ur intuition leaves you very vulnerable. You are here telling me a strata of every ethnic tribe exists in every ethnic nation even with signification that portends this a great malicious intents. Was a settlement to be forced on the people? Or was a yoruba or Igbo settlement enforced on every state of the federation. Yet you have a Fulani whose actions from the scrath seeks the benefit of his people more than any other thing in the nation backed by violent acts of the fulani herdsmen who the President has flagrantly supported yet, IPOB was declared a terrorist group.
Dont be a warped psych. until this metaphorical twist is dawn on you like the bursting of a million suns.
