Throwback:That's why to me Peter Obi sometimes seems like a fraud. Only telling gullible folks what they want to hear.

Igbos are now torn between support for Biafra and support for Igbo Presidential candidate. Suddenly all the bad and vile things the Igbos poured against Nigeria has taken a back seat to support for Mr Obi. The same "evil" hausa fulani is now the corner stone that is needed to ensure Obi's victory. But there are more problems aheadfor easterners. How will igbos vote for Obi when IPOB commanded them not to register for PVC And the few that have PVC, how will the go out to vote when the "Sit at Home" is still being enforced Will igbos abandon their Biafra to Troup out enmasse for Mr Obi Or is Biafra now a dead dream. |
IboHausaYoruba:Sorry how many votes does ibo have again ![]() If you make this about tribe, Peter Obi won't even come 3rd in the elections |
This is going to be a tribal and religion based election. In the end, igbos/Peter Obi will still lose |
Sai Tinubu |
GudHardDick:We have gotten our PVC to vote Tinubu! ![]() |

The All Progressives Congress APC Muslim youths have rejected the choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate to Chief Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming Presidential Polls The youths want him replaced with a Christian Cleric without any delay. The youths spoke in Abuja at a news conference. Les by its Convener, Abdullahi Saleh, the youths said they are seriously against a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Saleh said while it must be stated that there is a right to make decisions, however, such decisions must not be made to the collective detriment of the sensibilities of the people that make up the country of Nigeria. "As concerned stakeholders of the APC in the 19 Northern States in the country, we find it worrisome that such a decision could be taken without recourse to its implication on the electoral chances of the party and the attendant uproar such a decision could bring about in the country. "It is also worrisome that of all the country's political parties, only the APC presented a Muslim-Muslim ticket. In our opinion, this is insensitive and a gross display of a lack of respect for our Christian brothers and sisters. "This is on the heels that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a Muslim from South West Nigeria, and picking another Muslim from the northern part of the country as his running mate is politically and morally indefensible. "We hold the firm conviction that such a move can boomerang with unpleasant consequences for the APC at the general elections, hence the need for the party's leadership to make haste to correct this error of judgment" he added. He said in Northern Nigeria, there are credible candidates with rich credentials and with massive grassroots following that can complement the presidential ticket of the APC in the presidential elections. "As such, the 19 APC states Northern Muslims Forum sees the selection of Senator Kashim Shettima as an aberration that should be corrected with immediate effect by the relevant authorities within the party. "The implication of non-action in this regard can only be imagined, so much so that the majority of the eligible voters in Northern Nigeria have elected to boycott the APC in protest of the disrespect and disregard to Northern Christians, whose population and relevance in the scheme of things in the region cannot be overemphasized. "As a group, we wish to state unequivocally that we reject the choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as the vice presidential candidate of the APC. This decision is hinged on the need to ensure a balance in the presidential ticket of the APC, as it has been since the return of democracy in 1999. The APC must respect the religious diversity of the country. We hold the opinion that emphasis must be placed on ensuring a united house before the elections and not a fragmented house" he added The youths called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to replace the vice presidential candidate of the APC with a Christian cleric as the vice presidential candidate of the party. "If the APC is desirous of recording electoral success in the 2023 presidential elections, it must retrace its steps by selecting a Christian cleric as its vice presidential candidate. The party must not be perceived as promoting a religious agenda by fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket. "The 19 APC States Northern Muslim Forum condemns such a move in its totality as it is a recipe for the entrenchment of mutual suspicion between the Muslims and the Christians in the country, which won’t augur well for relative peace and tranquillity. "We consequently say no to a Muslim-Muslim ticket by the APC. We call on President Muhammadu Buhari to kindly intervene to save the party from an electoral crisis. We urge Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emulate the example of President Muhammadu Buhari in the choice of his running mate in the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections. "This stance is hinged on the national interest. Our Christian brothers and sisters deserve a place in the scheme of things, and the APC must not be seen as a religiously insensitive party. The time to act is now" he said Fake news |

OyigboUpdate:Don't bother yourself. Peter Obi supporters are not normal or rational. They are disgruntled wailers from 2015, ipob terrorists and ignorant empty heads that refuse to use their brain. |
SocialJustice:Apparently he's not. Obi is nothing but a scammer. I don't care about your Tinubu or whoever u want to use to cover the fraudster Peter Obi. |
SocialJustice:That's your problem. Must you compare one evil with another. Even if Tinubu is the worst drug baron in the universe, it still doesn't excuse Peter Obi's fraudulent activities and refusal to declare his assets. He cmhas been caught time and time again lieing and feeding his gullible folks with falsehoods. As I said earlier y'all are hypocrites. See u complaining about being ruled by the worst, yet you are very happy to support a fraudulent tax evader with questionable morals. All because you hate another candidate. Smh |
SocialJustice:Hypocrisy is when you play the ostrich when someone u like commits an offence but then try to kill a fly with sledge hammer when someone you hate is even remotely tainted with impropriety. I am very sure that if this Pandora publication was about buhari, you these hypocrites on nairaland would have gone berserk screaming blue murder. But today you are looking for every excuse under the sky to cover fraud. You dont need shell companies if you are doing the right thing and obeying the law. Shell companies are for tax evasion and fraud. Period. |

Peter Obi serially violated the law by failing to declare to the Code of Conduct Bureau the companies and assets he tucked away in secrecy havens. Peter Obi, the ex-governor of Anambra State in Southeastern Nigeria, is widely regarded in Nigeria as an advocate of good governance, openness, and transparency. In addition to speeches on his governance records and statistics-laden prescriptions for Nigeria’s development, he likes to talk about how hugely successful he became in business before diving into politics. In speeches and in printed literature, Mr Obi is never shy, reeling out his numerous business affiliations and accomplishments. On his website, for example, the former governor said he “was chairman of Next International Nigeria Ltd, then chairman and director of Guardian Express Mortgage Bank Ltd, Guardian Express Bank Plc, Future View Securities Ltd, Paymaster Nigeria Ltd, Chams Nigeria Ltd, Data Corp Ltd and Card Centre Ltd.” On that same platform, the former governor also described himself as the youngest board chairperson ever appointed by Fidelity Bank Plc, a 34-year old Nigerian lender listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. But beyond the facade of priggish speeches and appearances, an investigation by PREMIUM TIMES has now shown that Mr Obi is not entirely transparent in his affairs as he likes Nigerians to believe. The investigation is part of the global International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ)-led Pandora Papers project. The leaked files were retrieved from some offshore services firms around the world that set up shell companies and other offshore entities for clients, many of them influential politicians, businesspersons and criminals, seeking to conceal their financial dealings. The two-year collaboration has so far revealed the financial secrets of not less than 35 current and former world leaders, more than 330 public officials in more than 91 countries and territories. Mr Obi is one of the individuals whose hidden business activities was thrown open by the project. Indeed, he has a number of secret business dealings and relationships that he has for years kept to his chest. These are businesses he clandestinely set up and operated overseas, including in notorious tax and secrecy havens in ways that breached Nigerian laws. The former governor admitted that he did not declare these companies and the funds and properties they hold in his asset declaration filings with the Code of Conduct Bureau, the Nigerian government agency that deals with the issues of corruption, conflict of interest, and abuse of office by public servants. He said he was unaware that the law expected him to declare assets or companies he jointly owns with his family members or anyone else. Peter Obi, his daughter and a secret business Mr Obi has two children- a daughter, Gabriella Nwamaka Frances Obi, and a son, Gregory Peter Oseloka Obi. Sometime in 2010, more than four years after he became governor, the politician developed an appetite to set up his first discreet company in the British Virgin Island. He named the company Gabriella Investments Limited, after his daughter To set up what has now become a convoluted business structure, Mr Obi first approached Acces International, a secrecy enabler in Monaco, France, to help him incorporate an offshore entity in one of the world’s most notorious tax havens noted for providing conduits for wealthy and privileged corrupt political elites to hide stolen cash to avoid the attention of tax authorities. Tax havens are politically and economically stable offshore jurisdictions or countries with extensive laws and systems that provide little or no tax obligations, but enable high secrecy and privacy protection for foreign individuals and businesses. Mr Obi also paid Acces International to provide nominee directors for the company. Nominee directors are residents of tax havens paid to sit on boards of companies to hide the identities of real owners of offshore firms. So, after accepting a brief from the then governor or his representatives, Acces International officials headed to the British Virgin Island, a notorious tax haven, where it contracted a local registered agent – Aleman Cordero Galindo & Lee Trust (BVI) Limited (Alcogal) — to set up Gabriella Investments Limited for Mr Obi. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/487997-pandora-papers-inside-peter-obis-secret-businesses-and-how-he-broke-the-law.html
