chaseblack: ASUU demands three things: 1) IPPS/UTAS 2) Increase in salary 3) An improvement in University infrastructure
In my opinion, if the government cannot afford an upward review of salary because we are broke, at least it is their responsibility to provide the infrastructures needed in our institutions.
I think if the government compromise on their IPPS/UTAS situation, ASUU will resume.
Even if they cannot increase their salary, let ASUU have their UTAS system but the government can set up a taskforce to monitor fraudulent activities and let ICPC/EFCC prosecute any lecturer who is fraudulent. But on what basis are they demanding tho. NUC Act does not make it mandatory for govt to be the their treasury pot. Govt is only supposed to provide support. What do they use the school fees they collect to do In my opinion, Universities should be made autonomous. Any university that cannot cope should be shut down and merged. Govt should rather invest in the students by providing bursaries and scholarships. The universities have weaponized strikes and industrial action. They won't even wait to discuss, they just strike first then discuss later. |

Nigerianization: Every part of the country is marginalized. Killings everywhere, inflation everywhere, insecurity everywhere. Tell me where is safe??
The IGBOS saw failure afar off and stood against it. Sadly, the tyranny of the majority prevailed in our democracy. However, the IGBOS are not worse off because the suffering reach everybody. If your part of the country is safer with electricity, cheaper fuel and no inflation, please let me know Those thing u are listing, did Peter Obi provide them for Anambra in his time Smh |

elivtjackson5: THE MANY LIES OF TINUBU AND HIS CAMPAIGN TEAM AGAINST PETER OBI
To put the matter straight Peter Obi is the most accepted of all the presidential candidates among the Nigerians from all ages, professions, tribes, religions, of course peter obi is the most suited for the job among the contenders.
Unfortunately his political opponents
especially that of APC, BOLA TINUBU and his campaign team are scheming and working hard to destroy the good will that Nigerians have bestowed on Obi.
The OBI's campaign team should therefore put in some work to counter this as they prepare to commence campaigns soon .
I am going to clearly state here the evil strategies that the BATIST are using to dent Obi's candidature and advice on how Obi's team should counter this.
Tinubu's evil goals.
1) Create the impression that Peter Obi is a sectional project.
2) Portray Peter Obi's supporters across Nigeria as Ipob and violent people and intolerant.
3) Portray Peter Obi and the Obidients as deceitful and liars.
4) Portray Obi's presidency as a tribal project.
HOW THEY WORK ON THIS EVIL SCHEMES
Tinubu's campaign team hires and pays some people especially in the media to design and create violent posts, engage in tribal discriminating acts and posts, issue tribal warnings and threats, while hiding under the Obidient camp to carry out this evil acts. Then they turn around and accuse Peter Obi and his supporters.
They sponsor and publish this acts on national dailys (e.g. The Nation Newspaper) social media, and infact all media claiming victims and making the Obidients the culprit.
They create false and deceitful informations including endorsements by celebrity figures, some polticians, videos, images hiding under the image of the obidients, then turn around to publish such reports as lies and deceit from Obidient team.
An example was a sponsored article where Tinubu8 campaign team hired some criminals called Igbo youths.
They issued threats that Tinubu's campaign team are not allowed in the South East. They ran to the Guardian newspaper paid and published it.
All these is to portray Peter Obi's support base as intolerant.
Treacherous indeed.
A lot of dangerous scenarios like this one plays out every day.
However let me warn Obi's team that more aggressive versions of this evil scheming by Tinubu, his campaign team and his supporters are in store against Peter Obi's Presidential aspiration and the movement
But we know that lies, propaganda and falsehood cannot stop the choice of the Nigerian masses.
Peter Obi's Campaign Team, The Labour Party (LP) And All Obidient Supporters Must Therefore Be Proactive In The Way They React And Respond To The Many Lies Emanating From the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Try to rest and calm down, ok. |

Frizz001: The fact that you have clearly endorsed targeted marginalization of a particular group of people just because one person from a tribe different from theirs wins an election is already an indication of a warped mindset. No one should be hoping to clinch power just to punish others who appear not to support them. Also, you have engaged in blanket stereotyping. You have deliberately covered your eyes to the fact that it is not only Igbos that support Peter Obi. People from the SW, SS and the North also support him so if APC or PDP wins, will you go and look for non-Igbos who supported LP/Obi to marginalize them along with the Igbos?
In fact, quite a number of highly placed politicians and entertainers of Eastern extraction have clearly declared their support for BAT or Atiku and asked their followers/constituents not to support Peter Obi. For example, Ike Ekweremadu, Gov David Umahi, Gov Hope Uzodimma, Joe Igbokwe, Fmr Gov. Chimaroke Nnamani, Sullivan Chime, Zachy Orji and even those I do not know but somehow these do not count. Remember that no notable politician of this caliber from SW or the North have declared support for Obi. Still, it is not enough for you people.
It has been clear from Day 1 that not every Igbo person supports Obi and not all Yorubas or Hausa support APC and PDP. Other tribes in the NC and SS also count massively in support of any candidate whether LP, PDP or APC. So why are you singling out the Igbos? It is also you and your kind that will gather and insult the Igbo tribe if Peter Obi doesn't receive significant support so what is your problem really? Is it that Peter Obi should not be able to garner any support at all or only PDP and APC have the 'fundamental' right to produce presidential candidates?
Your message should be that no matter who wins, every person, group or tribe should be equitably and fairly treated as envisaged by the federal character provision of the Nigerian Constitution. Stop stereotyping and looking for who to laugh at as per scapegoat or loser. Everyone should be magnanimous in victory. Blablabla......The energy u used to write this thesis should have been put to write your own piece/ opinion. Also i am not endorsing marginalization. Try to read my post without your internal bias. |

In 2015 when Buhari ran, igbos came out enmasse to campaign against him, throwing their weight behinde Jonathan. The result was massive loss and pains and marginalization. Same thing in 2019,. It was a campaign of hate and bile against buhari in favour of Atiku. Atiku even paraded an Igbo damsel just to feign his loyalty and love for igbos. Yet again, it was another massive loss for the east as buhari went on to win. Of course, Atiku promptly dismissed the sham marriage and drove away mummy Jennifer. Betrayal upon betrayals...chai Igbo don suffer no be small Now again, igbos have thrown their eggs into obi's basket. Is this a right move They say he doesn't need any structure. They say they will vote labour party as president and vote pdp in every other seat. (Though I wonder how this will work since LP has no presence in National Assembly to pass any law or budget). The coming months will be interesting. I just pray it doesn't end in another 8years of wailing and gnashing of teeth! |
