EPL is fast and furious most suited to ages btm 17 - 34 yrs Old but we all know that the African has chopped his age so by the time they enter the league the age don reach 31 years old real age. You have to be super fit to play in the EPL.

Theblessed:
As if the Minister and his government care about how many of you swine flu left behind after its horicane.  What infractracture has Nigeria in place to fight this.  Imagine it!  It took almost 20 year of Hiv/Aids epidemic before Nigeria was woken up by WHO to do something at least  and protect/support its citizens who have fallen victims of this dreadful disease and now, this.

Forget about it, they won't do one inch of anything - and if you caught it, like most things in Nigeria, you are on your own to 6ft deep. Shall we bet on ithuhhuh

Don't mind this loud and big mouthed Minister who should go die with all his lies, shame!

Look, there are some many of you! The government don't give a tosh about how many are alive, the earlier the swine flu got their the better and that means no stress worring about flu vaccines for this strain of influenza, ok! So, muje mana!!!
Nigeria summed up in a sentence.

PoliticsRe: Vission 2012 - Electricity For All - Unending Promises by blacksta(m): 7:26am On May 02, 2009
Jakumo:
To me,  promises of electricity to come are far more valuable than actual electricity delivered, just as the promise grin

As long as the solemn pledge is made by someone with a sincere and SERIOUS face, nothing pleases me more than hearing whether it will be in 10 or 20 years time that Nigeria will finally be issued another promise of grid electricity, grin

The pleasure is in the waiting and anticipation, but NOT in the delivery.   Impatient people please take note.

Mr. Yar I-go-do-am, PLEASE issue some more delightful promises for me to salivate over, as I am bored today.

Promise all Nigerians that they will soon commute aboard 28 million dollar Gulfstream4 private jets, whenever they need to go and count cash in their Swiss bank accounts.

Promise them that automatic Norwegian or US citizenship will be awarded to all 419 letter writers, so that they can fly to Hollywood or Oslo to collect literary awards for thier email compositions.

Promise Nigeria's dying hospital patiients that high school dropouts from inner city America will soon be drafted to replace all those trial and error quack doctors currently operating on victims in Nigeria.

Promise that clean drinking water will soon be distilled from open gutter sewage water, so as to quench the thirst of Nigerians, while the remaining residue will be processed to make convenient gutter water concentrate inhaler bottles for all who like to get high.

Praise the Lord, and let the promising begin in earnest !

If when when you were a Governor you had put in place an effective fire fighting organisation on ground your expensive house would not have razed to the ground.  If have stolen a kobo while you were governor - I can guarantee you that your misfortunes has just started and you haven't seen anything yet.
PoliticsFire Razes Sam Egwu’s Country Home by blacksta(op): 5:54am On May 02, 2009
Barely one month after the wife of the Minister of Education and former governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Sam Egwu, escaped death by a whisker when her vehicle ran into a stationary lorry, his multi million naira country home at Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi State was razed by fire on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses said that the fire, which started at about 1:30a.m. and lasted for over two hours, razed the building with properties worth billions of naira destroyed.

Speaking to our correspondent, an eyewitness who did not want his name disclosed said all efforts by the youths of the village and security operatives guarding the house to quench the fire proved abortive.

According to the eyewitness, the fire might have been caused by an electrical fault in the building and before the alarm could be raised in the community, massive damage had been done.

He noted that when the fire started almost all the youths in the community, and security operatives attached to the former governor made efforts to bring the fire under control but since the building was under lock and key all their efforts came to nothing.

“Efforts made to break into the house and possibly evacuate some of the properties were futile because of our inability to force the iron door open. So, we watched helplessly as the properties were destroyed by fire,” the source lamented.

He said that several calls were made to the Ebonyi State Fire Service when the fire was noticed but fire fighters did not arrive the scene until several hours later, even though Egwu’s country home is about 15 minutes drive from Abakaliki, the state capital.

PoliticsObasanjo Knocks Yar’adua - Claims Ignorance On Electoral Reform by blacksta(op): 5:50am On May 02, 2009
FOR the first time since he bowed out of power in May 29, 2007, former president Olusegun Obasanjo took time off to deliver a hard knock on the government of Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, as he berated the Electoral Reform process by the government.

An earlier criticism of the Electoral Reform by the former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar drew the ire of the Yar’Adua government which engaged him in verbal warfare for days.

Obasanjo, who spoke to a battery of media correspondents at the Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano on Friday said he was not aware that any Electoral Reform process was on in Nigeria.

The former president simply implied that the Electoral Reform initiative anchored by Justice Muhammed Uwais, whose committee made recommendations to the Federal Government will end up with little or no effect.

The Initiative by the Yar’Adua government to reform the Nigeria’s electoral system has been dogged by heated controversies even amid biting criticisms against the initiative from cross-sections of Nigerians.

When correspondents asked for his comment on the electoral reform by the government of president Yar’Adua, Obasanjo simply said, “I was not aware of any Electoral Reform.”

The chairman PDP Board of Trustees who now seems to be coming all out from his cocoon to lend voice on national political issues had earlier taken a similar approach in dealing a blow against his former deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on his reported attempt to return to the fold of the ruling party.

Obasanjo, on invitation by the governor, Air Vice Marshall Muritala Nyako, had travelled to Adamawa State where he told the state cabinet members and political stakeholders in PDP that Atiku begged him on several occasions when seeking his assistance in facilitating his return to the ruling party.

Although Obasanjo, according to reports, denied ever speaking against Atiku in Yola, the full text of his unedited remarks was, however, reproduced by a northern based daily which also carried his remarks against Atiku.

There have been speculations that both Obasanjo and his successor, whom he visibly struggled hard to install as president, are no longer seeing eye-to-eye.

Obasanjo, it was learnt, has been making several complaints against President Yar’Adua on conscious attempt by his government to either reverse or run down initiatives and policies by his past government.

SapeleGuy:
Banom - Thank you. In the past two months since I joined the site, the pessimism of some people especially those abroad. 'The thing tire me'

First and foremost, I would like to celebrate my resolute and stoic people. Who have endured untold sufferring and hardship as this country continues its battle to attain a positive position in the committee of nations.

I celebrate our rich, diverse cultural heritage. I salute a culture, where African traditional religions celebrate the value and importance of women in complete contrast to the imported religions.

I respect the tolerance of these same religions who in their infinite wisdom accept that it is okay to have a different religious belief without wanting to slaughter those who have a different opinion.

I salute the hundred of ethnicities that refuse to accept the bogus equation of 3 out 250 as acceptable.
I salute the spirit of the people that says we are less than 50 years old and things will get better for us.

I celebrate the natural confidence and charisma we exude when we enter a room. Love us or hates, we can not be ignored.

I respect my brothers and sisters who refuse to sell out and believe we shall overcome.

I salute our heroes who spilled their blood for this nation.

Okotie-Eboh, Saro-Wiwa, Balewa, Akintola, Dele -Giwa and many more - we salute you

I celebrate those who write beautifully:
Okri, Achebe, Saro - Wiwa, Soyinka and many more

I respect those who uplift us with melodies:
Uwaifo, Kuti, De-Coque,Okosun and many more

Nigeria I salute you. I celebrate my ancestors, my land, the rich red earth, the white sands. the fresh air an the cool rivers.

I respect the fact that we need to work harder to improve things.
I celebrate you because charity begins at home - if we don't respect you nobody else will.
Please dont forget to celebrate a soldier killing an innocent bystander for wearing Green colored clothes and a policeman shooting  dead a soldier at a lagos checkpoint

what a joke you call Nigeria.
