As if it would make news in Europe if a white boy becomes president in University Of Lagos. (If at all a single white dey there sef). We are seeing this as big news because we are losers. Simple

All the tears and debate salivas that has stained the floor and walls of Nairaland politics section from day 1 hasn't yielded anything. So please stop messing the house up further.

@claremont. No one is talking about relying on someone to steer your decision. But people can INFLUENCE your decisions. Thats it.

In many cases during relationships, people's lives tend to change after meeting a partner. These changes can be positive, negative or neither of them. In other words, meeting a partner can make you quit a part of your lifestyle or take up a new kind of lifestyle. Your life may be better before but became worse after you met your partner and vice versa. The change can be in diverse ways.
For instance in my own case, before I met her I was careless with my looks and dressing, I was lazy and bored with life at times. But when she came in, the story changed. These days her presence makes me appear fresh, clean, happy, dressed to kill and well behaved to people around me just to impress her. I now work hard for the money too. Who said a lady contributes nothing in relationships?
Anyway, as the question goes; how did your partner change or influence your life after you met him or her?

What if Nigeria reaches the peak of her madness in 2014 which leads to an eventual breakup into 3 countries, and this happened to be during the world cup tournament. Fortunately for the super eagles, they went all the way to win the prestigious world cup trophy. Who will claim the much awaited golden trophy among the 3 break away countries of the then defunct Nigeria? Will it be Arewa republic or Oduduwa federation or Biafra? Where will the players touch down for a heros welcome?

Blacks should really be glad that slave trade was abolished. What if it still continued to this day? If they decide to enslave our weak ass again, what can we do? What went wrong with blacks during creation? Only God knows.

@kobojunkie. What I said has nothing to do with bakare. I only used his statement to explain my stand against those rooting for a revolution.

Some of us are calling for a revolution as the answer to end our troubles. But I wish to plead with all Nigerians harbouring that thought to delete it from their brain cells because it wouldn't do us any good since the faulty state of mind of Nigerians would not make such an action profitable.
To explain myself better, Pastor Tunde Bakare as one of those trying to incite a revolution said that Nigerians are IDIOTS ruled by FOOLS. Now my question is what difference would it make if IDIOTS revolt and seize power from FOOLS? Will Nigeria be better off with IDIOTS at the helm of affairs?

@kobojunkie. You have to note that am not refering to any kind criminal activities out there. Am specifically refering to the Boko guys cos this criminal outfit has an ethnic/religious undertone, and therefore would also require something ethnic/religious to eliminate it. Maximum security in the form of deploying security forces at every lenght and breadth is not what it would take to silence Boko Haram. Open your eyes.

How does this concern Nigeria and boko haram?

For those of us insulting Jonathan and saying he is incompetent for being unable to stop the boko haram bombings, the fact remains that the president is not folding his hands watching the situation unfold. I know he is actually doing everything possible to bring the situation under control. But why is his effort not paying off? We know that Buhari or some other northern president may successfully squash boko haram due to reasons that are clear to us. But can any southern president do it with full success without giving up something big for it? Is this really about Jonathan being weak or is there something outside it we are ignoring?

Na wa for these Igbo posters above sef. But seriously the yorubas and Igbos really need to unite and cooperate to check the north. Igbos or yorubas cannot face the north alone or else they would cry marginalization till enternity.
