I feel uncomfortable whenever people here say Jonthan is a failure because he has been in office for 18 months and Nigeria still has high unemployment, insecurity, power failures, corruption etc. Is it not inappropriate to think that a president can tackle all that in a space of 18 months? How does that sound possible to you guys? I think the questions we should be asking are:
WHAT SEEDS IS THE PRESIDENT SOWING FOR THE FUTURE?
IS HE SOWING THE RIGHT SEEDS?
The present state of Nigeria is not one that we can say a president is sworn-in today then within 18 months unemployment, corruption and infastructural decay varnishes just like that. Na magic?? Nigeria should currently be in a state of sowing viable seeds which should bear fruits in 5 to 15 years depending on the kind of problem. Sowing a seed to taclke issues like unemployment or corruption is not what can bear fruits within 18 months due to factors we should be aware of. Please you guys watch your words and stop saying things that are not possible

Why not leave the money with the abachas since the money wouldn't still reach the masses?

Going by the responses here against Jonathan, it has shown that the sponors of boko haram are succeeding in their objective. They intend to rubbish Jonathan's first term and pave way for a northern president to ascend the throne easily. I think they are succeeding in making many people like the posters above lose faith in his administration. The northern politicans are really playing a nice game

If a man stares at you, it doesnt necessarily mean he loves you or you are too pretty. Take note. In most cases he is just analyzing your features and giving a high or low score in his mind.

A lot of us are trying to give a complicated meaning to "LOVE", and am referring to the meaning of the kind of love that matters in this forum. Some of us keep asking all sorts questions here ranging from the meaning of love to if it exists or if it can occur at first sight. I hope my simple explanation below will put the case to rest.

Three things are involved and should be considered whenever one is bringing up the issue of being inlove with someone. I will list them as SIGHT, SOUND and ACTION. SIGHT involves the physical features of a person, SOUND involves how good and intelligent a person communicates and understands you, ACTION includes how a person behaves and react towards you. If you love all that three aspects of a person then you can safely say you are IN LOVE.

Love(sight) + love(sound) + love(action) = Authentic love.

Authentic love - love(sound) - love(action) = love(sight) = lust

I hope this explains it all. No big grammer.

I dey laff o. Most Nairalanders making noise here are sitting with their laptops somewhere outside the country. Probably the OP is among. Only about 2% of Nigerians in Nigeria visit Nairaland. Majority of Nigerians don't even have laptops before you talk of paying high internet bills and then "accidentally" finding Nairaland and reading the call to revolt.

It made news because it showed the numerous poor and weak arse blacks are given some opportunity over there.
But if it happens in Nigeria with a white, it would make news because people would wonder why he went to a poor country to settle.
