Mobinga, I thought it was Obasanjo who dropped duke in preference to Jonathan? Am not sure duke refused the vice presidency. |
What's their objective? |
I think we shouldn't use the period Jonthan has spent on the seat of power so far to asses his forthcoming performance after this elections. Understandably, he had to make sure that his actions or inactions will not jeopardize his chances at the polls. We can't expect him to unleash the bulldog at the corrupt figures out there prematurely before the elections, that will be suicide. Am pretty sure the previous decisions he took was greatly influenced by his desire to win the elections, this includes the billions spent on the nation's 50th aniversary, the explosion in size and cost of individuals running his government, the wastage in the creation of new varsties and etc. Let me believe that these actions somehow eventually served their purpose of getting him elected. I don't mind for now if Jonathan spent ''N10 trillion'' of public funds for his election, only if he makes sure that the amount was an investment on the masses behalf which should yield 1000 percent return on investment in the form of improved standard of living for Nigerians. |
I suspect those involved in the violence are using the election as a cover up to settle scores. |
Personally am not interested in whatever is going on in these elections cos the problems this country is facing is just beyond free and fair elections. At the end of the day, 95 percent of these guys elected will only be there indirectly to salvage their deficient bank accounts. Anything short of overhauling the present system of things in government and politics is just a waste of time. |
@Op. Na wa for u sef. Do u think they would have fought each other? |
We have heard all the gist about the male Naija rappers; MI, Ice Prince and a host of others. So what about the female category? No one says anything about them; Sasha, Blaise, Munachi, Eva, Mo cheddah, etc. Dem no follow? Who is hot and who is not? |
D sense, seems u dont know that without the western powers stepping in, the civilians of benghazi and others pushing to overthrow ghadafi will be all dead soon. The US is only protecting the civilians. Besides they didnt deploy any ground troops. |
Jackieugo, ur reason pls |

Hehehe. Where was the interview aired? Anyway, I think the youths it targetted would be busy admiring d'banji's clothing, shoes and wrist watch rather than focused on whatever the presido was saying. |

190, and my answer is its not a problem as long as her face is breath taking. |
Buhari will win the polls with about 70% percent of the votes cast even without campaigning or putting posters here and there. Even if PDP riggs, the evidence will be so apparent. Anyway, it seems the large number of uninformed fellows in Nigeria is really benefiting the wrong politicans so much. |
I prefer female cos I don't want a soldier in my house. Males can be tougher to control when they misbehave. The last I will do is sleep with a maid. Disgusting!!! |
Sky blue, of course voters will vote and he would do his homework too. Have you gotten the drift? |
We can all still remember how obj single handedly selected and installed Yar'adua as his successor, and it suggests that a Nigerian president can play a huge role to decide who succeeds him. If this is the case, it means that Buhari is a big key towards a very bright future for Nigeria. The reason I said he is the big key is due to the fact that if he gets elected and exhausts his tenure as president, he would make sure that someone as honest and competent as he is will succeed him. And when his successor completes his tenure, he would also ensure that another honest leader emerges as president, and it goes on and on to make Nigeria have a dynasty of very good leaders. In the case of Jonathan, he is not as honest as buhari, and wouldnt mind handing over to a crook at the end of his tenure. And when this happens, Nigeria will be doomed to have a dynasty of crooks as leaders going by the system of selection and installation of successors in Nigerian politics. Vote wisely. |
Thats 100% true. My college girlfriend was messing up with another girl and i wasnt bothered at all. |
190 has the posting strenght of 5 nairaland posters. His absence for a day will be easily noticed. |
mbatuku 1, what sort of proof do you specifically need? |
I still don't understand the essence of the frequent tribal fights going on in here, especially between yoruba and igbo. I have visited both yoruba and igbo lands and both depict the same picture of mass poverty, dirty environments, illiteracy, lawlessness and disorganization. So what is the fight really based on? It would never change the fact both tribes are BUSH BLACK MONKEYS of the same class. Igbos are mainly responsible for these fights as I have observed. |
America took 5000 German scientists after WW II. Imagine the gain!! |
