@Kenis. What kind of action should the poster take considering the fact that the army of uncivilized men is greater than the army of civilized men in Nigeria? He would be defeated if he takes any action. So let him relax. I think we just need more time for the wind of civilization to blow across more folks. Around the 1500's i guess 95% of us were uncivilized. That percentage keeps reducing as time goes on.

Poster you need to be grateful to God that you LUCKILY had access to proper education. If not you would have been like the igbo girl you highlighted. Civilization in Nigeria is by the grace of God.

Nigerians and Africans just came out of the jungle as recent as 1700AD compared to europeans who came out like around the 500BC's or so. Lets give Nigeria and Africa 1000 more years, i bet Nigeria would become 100% civilized including almajiris. It may be our turn to rule the world then. Lol.

There is something wrong with the black race in Africa. Its not just about Nigeria. Our politicians in office do not care about the life of the average citizen because they know that we can only bark and can not bite when they misrule us. Its now common knowlegde that these politicans when elected into office fight for their own personal interests and disregard the masses to their own fate. They only throw us some crumbs to eat to  prevent us from going wild in anger. These crumbs are in the form of constructing one or two roads, repairing the roofs of one or two schools, touch one or two hospitals, donate some buses and keke napeps, etc. All these just to silence us and make us think they are working, but the truth remains that what they had the opportunity to do for the citizens which were not done is 20 times greater than what they actually did. The problem is there is nothing to challenge these politicans and force them to act fast and serious enough to pull the country out of the abyss. The masses only have the power to vote, but they can't force the elected officals to do the right thing when they get into office and start ignoring the masses, and this a big flaw. As long as there is nothing checking the excesses of our public officials they would never care about the masses. So the question I wish to ask is, what if the masses decide to take matters into their own hands by setting up and funding a large nationwide mililtant force that would threaten these politicans and the security forces protecting them in order to force them to provide maximum good governance and stop their corrupt moves? Wouldnt Nigeria be better off to check these politicans with force?

@Alj uche. Did I hear u mention ''soldiers''? Where have they been over the years?? Besides I thought the soldiers are majority northners. Will they shoot their own people just like that?

I have heard many folks here suggest that the solution to stop the periodic violence in the north is by dividing the country, but i don't think it would stop the violence because even after the division some southerners will still remain or move into the north to be slaughtered again and again. Since the 1960's that the hausa wild animals have been killing the christian southeners at any little friction, why can't the southerners vacate the land inhabited by those wild animals disguised in human flesh? Is that the only land space on earth to establish? Since the inhabitant wild beasts hate the christain settlers so much, why on earth are these settlers still moving into the enemy territory like sheeps voluntarily walking into the slaughterhouse?? The land in the south east and west are big enough to contain three times the current indigineous population, so why spread into the land of wild animals to be slaughtered? Nothing can stop these killings except the ''infidels'' leaves the north and resettle down south. Personally nothing will ever take me to the north cos these ugly events over the years has made me hate the region badly. It's better i be a poor man in the south than be a rich man in the north. My map of Nigeria starts from the southern shores of Rivers, lagos, bayelsa and delta states and ends at the northern borders of kwara, kogi, FCT and benue states. Anywhere beyond is a game reserve for wild life.

The best igbos should do is vacate the north cos they cannot match the violent maddness of the hausa man. The more educated Igbos are too tamed to engage the hausa man in the path of violence.
