LaEvilIMiss:
The main issue is usually the electricity bill and how the house is wired to consume electricity - most service charge on estate electricity is between N70-N90 per killowat. PHCN sells it for N60 for pre-paid metered users. at the end of the day.

Other fees are actually manageable and less trouble if the estate handles it. if you want to have an idea how expensive electricity from the estate is, just ask residents of 1004 estates
Don't mind LG. They started with low electricity tariffs and now it's through the roof. You're right, electricity tariffs are ridiculous.

I think there's a lot of potential here. I like that you started with self esteem and he has to be financially stable, physically stronger etc. I agree. Being an alpha doesn't mean you're just barking out orders and no chance for a conversation, being an Alpha is that you make yourself to be someone she wants to follow.

There's a huge market for romance books on werewolf Alphas, Alpha CEOs etc. And their target market is women of all ages. Who doesn't want a sexy Alpha.

Great thread.

Anybody with info about "Property Link Real Estate Investment Ltd". We have visited their office in Magodo but i need NLers opinion. Please kindly share your experience with them. We are about to subscribe for one of their properties. We are interested in the potter Gardens and Park phase II, Eleranigbe Ibeju Lekki. Please kindly advise if you know anything about them. thanks
So, how did it turn out? Anyone buying land in Eleranigbe should do plenty due diligence. That area is prone to selling of land with bad title.
Politics › Re: Buhari Approves New Electricity Tariff; Rich Nigerians To Pay More by blank(f): 6:18pm On Aug 26, 2020
SmartProf:
From the post, the basis for classification appears to be based on residential areas being categorised as rich or poor smiley. Meanwhile in some cases, rich people build or live amongst people in poor residential areas and vice versa. How will that be sorted?
The categorization already exists and it's not based on rich or poor but on energy requirements. R3 customers are usually estates that have been bulk metered. R2 customers are most other residential users whether rich or poor. The story was slanted to make it look like it was something wonderful. but it still boils down to tariff increase across board.

So industrial users, big estates, those in the villages, those in cities will pay more but on a staggered scale which is how every single tariff increase has been. Never been a flat rate.

Lol that's very interesting. He was a very close friend of mine. Although he later got a job with Union Bank then as a graduate trainee, this affected his activeness on the forum. He later got married, lost his job at union bank later wen there was a shake up (2014). Since then I haven't heard from him or know where he is presently
I didn't know anyone outside the forum as in RL. Even my friends, I didn't know their nicknames. But they found me out very easy because my name is kind of unique and I was very blunt.

Why’s the baby in daycare though? You just need the peace and quiet? cheesy

Also have you thought of creative arts ,cooking practise, reading and extra curricular activities you can incorporate?

We are done with “exams” here so I’m hoping to
Move onto that for my children .
When I moved, I was concerned with how i would cope with 3 kids and no nanny and I'll be working into the night due to timing differences with Nigeria so I signed him up for daycare immediately. Unfortunately, the daycare closed the next week due to the pandemic and I felt it very well. With him back in daycare, I can breathe easier, work better and still put eye on my older boys.

I had tried different combinations but had to finally delete creative art because they couldn't do it on their own without making a huge mess and I need to be able to concentrate at work. We still do it weekends though. They've learnt how to make basic food so they can fetch their breakfast, warm their food, make sandwiches, fry eggs, etc. But I'm not into cooking like that, my husband cooks more so maybe with time, I could consider how to get them involved.

My exams will start soon so will have to start prepping for it.

So how has Covid affected them? They don't want to go out. They would rather stay indoors and it's scary for me because they used to love outdoors. They only go on the walks because I make them and they are so scared of any cough, coming near anyone. I guess my paranoia must have seeped through.

I don't let them watch news anymore because the stories are always bad. During the BLM stuff, I noticed my eldest becoming fearful of police. Till now, when he hears a police siren, he asks if they are killing someone or if they will arrest him. It breaks my heart.
Family › Re: The Graduation Spot And Other Room! by blank(f):
Once I had noticed the global trend of lockdowns, I got permission to work from home and then immediately travelled abroad with my kids. So we had to form a new routine. I tried different things until I came up with a workable solution.

I wake up around 5 and get some personal time to pray, read, press phone, whatever. I wake the kids up by 7am. They have family devotion with their dad while I bathe and dress up my baby for daycare. I leave around 7:30. By the time i return around 8, my hubby would have made breakfast. Then the kids do some morning chores.

I let them watch TV or play with their tablets till 10am. So the earlier they get their chores done and take their bath, the more time they can watch TV. From 10am, they do some online learning till noon. Then we go outside for a walk or just play in the backyard till 12:30pm. They have lunch then go back to studying till 2pm. Then they can do whatever they want till 5pm when I would have picked my baby and we go out for a walk.

We usually get home around 6pm. They eat, take a shower and we all gist or play games till 8pm when they go to bed. I'm a night owl so I go back to work till late.

Ogeneigbo1:
Yeah!
This one happened this morning by Aso Savings Junction Kubwa Abuja.

I was heading towards Zenith Bank , Suddenly, I looked by my right side mirror ,a corolla trying to over take me from the right.
A very narrow escape, almost brushed my car.

I was wondering what could be happening, all the Keke Napep were struggling to give the corolla chance, the road was too narrow for the corolla.

I said NO , there's going to be a disaster,I applied brake ,the Keke Napep gave her way, she zoomed off.i looked, it was a woman.

She gave me the middle finger..I was amazed, what!

I saw a little space between her and another car in front, one spirit said to me that is it..your time .

Another spirit said, Nooo it's not worth it.
I was very angry and same time confused..

Never met this woman before the incident, didn't even notice her corolla on my way until the incident.
All the Keke Napep drivers went after her and she was like laughing..

I shoke my head and drove away.
If not that I have never driven in Kubwa, I would have said that young lady could have been me over 10 years ago. Road rage is a bad thing.

Regarding the second post, you can clearly see that the author wrote this.
No hard feelings.

I am very concerned with the author's attempt to form public perception by including stories that could have been made up. His premise was of Nigerians killing their wives in the US but you can see that the stories he lifted and changed their names were stories of Kenyans in Germany. I have dug deep and still can't find the original news stories.

The one of Azubuike is particularly annoying. I have searched criminal databases for Texas with the name and came up empty. Would like to see the actual story to know that it's true and also free of embellishments. The writer is pushing an agenda that doesn't sit well with me.

This is not a news story! Or can't you see the word reenactment clearly written at the top of the post?? Don't you know what renactment means??
@Naptu, I respect you too much to go into a back and forth with you. Please read through my write up and see that the Abiodun Ladepo person is being disingenuous. His write up is full of half truths and totally made up stories. Half truths are worse than the outright lies because of the way it messes with people's minds.
Crime › Re: Nigerian Men Killing Their Wives In The United States. by blank(f): 5:23pm On Jul 22, 2020
Let's stop pushing this false narrative.

1. The David Ochola story is a Kenyan story that happened in Germany (allegedly). Story might be totally made up as I can't see a single news source with the actual crime. Every single story in this write up was lifted from this Kenyan blog with some of the names changed. Please understand that plagiarism is illegal. See a link to the 2014 story. https://mkenyaujerumani.de/2014/02/12/of-diasporan-men-who-import-wives-from-villages-in-africa/

2. The people who did a skit or small drama with the 911 call have come out to say that it wasn't a real call but they were trying to build awareness of what they feel is happening in the US.
"At this time, details about who the real people the Azubuike Ohuabunwa shooting is based on are not known. It is not known what later happened to the real Azubuike Ohuabuna or his wife, Chiamaka Ohuabuna.

Jidensky shared the video, which is based on a true life story, on his Instagram page back in 2018 and it is trending on social media today.

Jidensky re-enacted the video. It is his voice you’ll hear as Azubuike Ohuabuna in the video below. Zoe’s mum played the 911 operator. "
I am yet to uncover this so called true life story of Azuibuike and his wife.

Every year, this same topic will come out on Nairaland and be pushed to the front page. It's annoying really.
