Travel › Nigerian Passport Expiry by blank(op): 4:56pm On Jan 11, 2016
Hello guys,

Does anyone know if one can travel to the UK with a valid passport that would cover the period of stay but won't have 6 months validity after the visit? I already have the visa.

My passport will expire by the end of the year but i don't want to renew it too early. Does anyone have an idea?

Why the heck do people have to quote the whole story to replyhuh

To those of you saying she should forget the guy, I guess you haven't been in love before. If one is in love, even when it seems the other aint in it as you, it'll still be difficult to let go, OP I truly understand ur situation, esp since it's been a while u had a romantic relationship.

Well, what I suggest is you make out time to see and discuss things, not just on phone. You could even go to his office, at least to see what's always keeping him busy, that didn't keep you busy when you were still an intern there.

DON'T have sex with him yet!!

Naijainvestor:
Not sure how much of elementary economics the monetary experts in C BN understand. They all seem to be supply side economists
By restricting the sale, you are lowering supply and with increased demand, the price of the dollar will go up. There is need to manage the demand side too. The elesticity of demand for the dollar is highly in elastic almost perfectly in elastic. As long as the price of oil keeps falling and Nigerians keep going abroad for vacation, buying imported foods, etc, the Naira will keep being under pressure.
That is where your minister of finance steps in. She needs to put in place fiscal policies that would curb the demand for dollars.

Not totally true. Depends on the man and if he is man enough to make his people respect his wish
The fact that you have to mention that he has to take a stance means it's a big issue. However not everyone makes a big deal of it. You would be surprised that even so called educated people are caught up in it.

So, it's like a law?
Definitely not a law but it's generally acceptable. Meaning, family can insist. I am from there and married an Anambra man but my other siblings did not. I noticed that most of my parent's generation married Anambra.

You and I only rely on the video evidences and also the versions told by each of the camps. But I want to assume the army must have started the confrontation with minimal force like the use of teargasl. However, you and I know that teargas can achieve little or not result in dispersing such a desperate and aggressive army of shiites faithfuls. Even as students, each time there is a confrotation with the mopol, how much does the use of teargas achieve
I am referring to your statement that i have highlighted above. I doubt you can make that kind of assumption because if that is what happened, the NA would have no need to edit the tape and not show that part. It would make their case stronger if they show that they used tear gas and the people did not budge.

Also, why would they still go to their mosque and destroy it and then go to their house and destroy that as well. They didn't stop there and they shot the man and his wife that were not even at the march. That is use of excessive force and cannot be justified.

If we keep quiet and they get away with this, tomorrow if they come to an "Occupy Nigeria" march, they can as well kill everyone.

Pcv is presently being administered free to infants even in the remotest town in Anambra state. I have administered it severally since the second quarter of this year. For rotavirus vaccine ...we are still waiting for the vaccine as the federal ministry of health stipulated that by December 2015 it will be available as well.
I lay emphasis more on primary/comprehensive health centres.
OK. I don't know about the future plans.

Nairaland General › Re: Effect Of The Just Opened Shoprite At Jakande Lekki by blank(f): 8:10pm On Dec 20, 2015
The entrance to Shoprite is just wrong. They should have put it further down the road. The annoying part is that landlords there have jacked up their rents as if it is a plus in reality to have Shoprite as a neighbour.

There are 2 filling stations and an eatery already at the junction. It's just a nightmare. My cousin has put in plans now to move out cos the traffic to get to her house (after Shoprite) is killing in the evening.

I am amazed that people are paying for PCV, rotavirus. How about pentavalent vaccines and others, is it being paid for too? Very worrisome.

I prefer immunization at a government facility most especially primary health centres because they follow the cold chain system for the maintenance of the vaccines potency and have no business with spoilt vaccines.
Govt hospitals don't give rotavirus, pcv etc. They are quite expensive for whatever reason. Even if you are on a health benefit plan, it doesn't usually cover those things.
Family › Re: My Wife Wants To Buy The Following For The Baby by blank(f):
Cut your coat according to your cloth. Those things have varying prices depending on the brand. Someone can buy a nightgown of 1000naira whilst another will use 20k to buy a nightgown.

Depending on your income, give her what you can afford and let her buy the things the money will cover. Just explain that you will need to save for the tough economic climate of 2016 so no need to spend on frivolities and name brands when cheaper alternatives are available. If 50k is what you have, give her.

People saying give her 100k probably earn 400k a month. If it will dent your savings, abeg reduce your hand. There are people earning 50k a month and still having children. You can even break it in bits and spread over 2 months.

Maka why?
Is the Nigerian economy in dire straits?
Yes it is!
Also you cannot rule out a lot of speculators and financial sharks are baying for blood
While I'm no economist nor financial expert, CBN has to relax its monetary policy rules
Secondarily, I'm yet to see fiscal policy at play, so one must ask madam Kemi Adeosun what's up because the buck stops at her table for Emefiele can only do so much and I'm yet to hear any pronouncement from her about the economy
She needs to earn her pay grin
However, it is no doubting the Nigerian economy will face turbulence in the coming months because the PDP badly mismanaged it
But that's what Buhari signed up for
Innit! cool cool
Thumbs-up for this post.
