amiskurie:Not Jonathan's govt, I think it's Akpabio. |
diva90:There is a Lekki Gardens by Chisco roundabout. |
Favolly:Yes o. Everywhere. This one na serious something. Heard that TCN has joined NLC. |
Moniker254:What is the 9k payment for? Is it the cost of the solar panels and installation spread over a period of time? Or is it a monthly maintenance fee? |
tchidi:No, it's NLC that are on strike and have shut IKEDC down. No light in Ikeja area until NLC call off their strike. |
Lekki Gardens again? What is wrong with Richard? |
Is this not the same prophet that said that Obama will seek a third term? |
That fraudster is a highly demonic personality. Make sure you report him for threat to life. Btw, you did a good job on his website. |
nikkyshyne:I am also of the same school of thought. I don't want anybody whether na uncle or aunty to touch my kids. My kids school know me very well for that. |
gr8tgg:What do you mean by "his thin"? |
wisest10:I know Willie and i also know government officials. I did not say that the people will be fake agents. I said they are genuine agents but with a fake POS. Being divided into groups does not stop the revenue from being lower than it should be. Remember that this is income from fines and penalty not regulated income. It comes up only when citizens decide to break the law on minor offenses. I can assure you that the revenue will jump in the first few months of implementation before tapering out to a more comfortable level for them. |
Urine:Bone o, with government officials, i don't trust them at all. They are very smart when they want to rip someone off. They might have the skimmers already so it is a case of multiple streams of income for them. This issue of POS being linked to a different bank account was discovered in Lagos state with LASTMA and all that was done was to dismiss the staff and their head involved. Imagine giving those officials POS machines. You will see them everywhere terrorizing citizens because they know that the money is coming to their own pockets. Just cough and they will jump on you. |
dominique:That is so not true. I have never bought those fake things from the crooks at licensing office (note i did not say from govt). I have never had issues with my genuine insurance by any police/FRSC/LASTMA/VIO. It is if you are ignorant that they will insist on that and you accept. Now that you know it is not compulsory, kindly walk into your nearest insurance company or broker and purchase a genuine insurance policy, third party or otherwise. |
I am wondering how they will detect fake POS? ie If the agents wearing the specially branded uniforms and ID cards bring a POS that is linked to another bank account, how will they know? |
Seems like they have sacked some of those rogues that always come around to collect egunje. It remains the others. As they sack, they replace with better people which will help the country. |
BishopMagic:Someone that used to work in Mobil? |
SAMUELS3:The company that comes up when i searched using the address is Affinity consulting which by their profile deals in organization development management, human resources, training, researches, report writing/documentation, etc. You might want to ask around but any company that uses shorthand to send sms messages may not necessarily be a serious company, IMO. |
BMJS is owned by the Anglican communion. How can they not provide adequate safety for kids in their care? This is so hard to take. I have cousins that just graduated from this school. It's so scary. |

Silence. |
I am still struggling to understand why you didn't just ask your Lagos based friend to pick up the car and park it at MM2 till you are ready? How do you send someone you have never met, money and not collect your item immediately? Even if the Fortuneval did not set out to defraud, having that much money might have made him think twice. @OP, leave Nairaland and go after him with Police and EFCC. The guy has no plans of paying you your money. Don't be surprised when you get a phone call from "his brother" to tell you that he was involved in an accident and has since been buried. |
Eidosky:Please, I am not stupid neither am I blind. I can clearly see your papas fingers guiding the boy's hand. When he was waving at the hands and he saw that the boy did not know what to do, he started pushing the hand. See his fingers at the left side of the screen. I hate liars and people who cause the name of the Lord to be used in vain. |
Can't believe that this is still on. This guy sha. |
At least, he is creating jobs. ![]() |
I believe in miracles but I would like to know whose hands were on the boy 's shorter hand? Seemed to me like it was pushing the hand out. |
sisisioge:Are you for real? Do you want to give a baby a complex? |
She needs to stick to push up bras. ![]() |
Wyntah:He eventually left but not due to that incidence, we moved. They treated him differently but in a positive way, they paid special attention to him. The school is one of the big schools so they knew what that kind of bad press could do to their reputation. Since they knew we were ready to go all the way to protect the kids, they sat up. I would suggest that you continue to follow up with calls, let them know that you will not take the rubbish of it repeating itself. If you are not convinced that they are ready to take security seriously, then you should consider taking your kid out of there. Ensure you write to them. It might not be a proper law firm or lawyer but on a legal letter head and state that they should not unfairly discriminate against your son. |
Also consider the replacement cost. If he stocked at N80 per bag before the increase by the supplier to N100, he has to increase his price to at least N120 so that he can buy the next bag. Also, consider that the profit he was making before is no longer enough to cover his upkeep. He would need to increase his profit margin so that his lifestyle is not affected. It's usually people on a fixed income that are the hardest hit. |
This happened to my youngest brother when he was just 4 years old. I still remember the panic when we were looking for him cos he left his school bag. My parents saw him on his way home. it was one of those really big schools. If I remember correctly, my folks got their lawyer to write to the school and ensure they take up extra security measures and some other stuff. I think you need to evaluate the school and see if it's worth it for your kid to continue in the school. They may be generally lax about such important things. Those days, kidnapping and stuff were not so rampant. If that had happened recently, I am sure my folks would have reacted differently. |
