Christianity EtcDear Catholics, If Anyone Accuses You Of Worshipping Idols Show Them These by blazepascal(op): 5:45am On Mar 28, 2021
Catholics have been accused of idol worshipping throughout history. This is because statues of Mother Mary and other saints are often seen in Catholic churches, where the majority of people kneel to pray.

Many that are unfamiliar with these traditions often confuse them for idol worship.

However, in this post, I will explain why Catholics always pray to Mary and other so-called gods.

Is Mary really revered by Catholics?

In John's second chapter, verses 1-11,

At a wedding in Cana, Jesus and Mary were there, and Mary told Jesus when the wine had run out.

Women, my time has not yet come; you must not tell me what to do," Jesus responded. Mary then ordered the servants to do as Jesus instructed. To cut a long story short, Jesus converted water into wine, which was his first known miracle (note that he had no intention of offering wine for the couples; it was Mother Mary's presence that convinced him).

It is for this cause that Catholics revere Mary; they pray to her for assistance from her son, just as she convinced him at the wedding.

Have you ever wanted anything so desperately that you begged your father for it and he scolded you, then you went through your mother and your father miraculously accepted your request? In the Bible, Mary's position is defined as such.

Is it real that Catholics worship idols?

The following is a bible verse in which God uses a statue as a reference point.

"
But the people were so impatient 5 along the way that they complained to God and asked Moses, "Did you carry us out of Egypt only to make us die in the desert?" There's no water out here, and we can't take any more of this filthy food!”

6 The Lord then sent poisonous snakes, which bit and killed a large number of them.

7 “It was unfair of us to ridicule you and the Lord,” a few of the people confessed to Moses. Now, please remind him to get rid of these snakes.
Make a bronze snake and set it on top of a pole,” the Lord said in response to Moses' prayer. Anyone who is attacked by a snake will look at it without dying.”

9 Moses listened to the Lord and did what he was told. And if they had been attacked by poisonous snakes, all of those who looked at the bronze snake survived.

Should you call the snake an idol now?

The snake was seen as a metaphor, and anybody who believed in him was told that if they looked at the snake, they would be cured.

The aim of the statues is to remind us of Jesus' sufferings. Just like looking at a snapshot of one's mother makes one remember her, so do statues of Jesus on the cross and others help us remember him.
Christianity EtcWhy Didn’t God Just Destroy Satan? by blazepascal(op): 5:36am On Mar 28, 2021
yes.. the same question again why didn't God destroy Satan .well ..I felt he should have destroyed satan and the other other demons that rebelled against him but rather God chased them out of heaven if he had destroyed Satan then there would be no need of creating hell

well ..God is the wisest. he's wisdom is beyond human imagination. but sometimes there are thought that just crossed our mind and you start to ponder why is this ,why is that etc e.g I made a post about God existence the question was where was God from well ..no body know where God was from it's a crazy question but sometimes we have this thoughts in mind they come an go which brings me back to our current question why God didn't destroy Lucifer.

your input are welcomed.. thanks
Christianity Etc10 Big Things Jesus Said That We Keep Forgetting by blazepascal(op): 3:53am On Mar 28, 2021
1. We keep forgetting the second commandment is a command.

We want our religion to be private, just “me and the Lord.”

Jesus refuses to play that game. After being asked to identify the “greatest” command, He said, “And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Matthew 22:39). We must note that this is a command, not an option, an opinion, a wish, a Facebook “like,” or a good idea. To love one’s neighbor strongly is a key component of the kind of witness Jesus envisioned His people extending to the world.

So, why don’t we obey it? Answer: We have found it inconvenient, difficult, and demanding. When we love people – truly care for them to the point that they know it – they might need us, and that would interfere with our schedule. It’s much easier to love the lovely, to care for the appreciative, to give to the deserving, and to reach out to those who need little or nothing.

2. We keep forgetting two things about His command to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, visit the sick, in Matthew 25.

First, we forget that this is a command and is not optional… something the Lord hopes we might find time to do along life’s way while attending to more important matters. Jesus honestly expects His people to do this. I’m happy to report many churches are taking this seriously and are involving their people in strong ministries to the down and out, the voiceless, and the forgotten.

Secondly, when we do these things “unto the least of these my brethren,” Hetakes it personally. We are to do good to everyone, but brothers and sisters in Christ have first dibs on our assistance. Paul said, “As we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).

A side note: Nowhere–underscore that–nowhere, does the Bible tell the church to take care of all the poor of the world. I hear people say that the government would not have to get involved in welfare if the church did its duty (Imagine Jesus telling the handful of disciples in Jerusalem they were to go into all the world and meet the physical needs of the billions. He did not do this. Let us give thanks).

3. We forget that loving people and loving the Lord is all about action, not emotion.

When our Lord told us to “love your enemies” in Luke 6:27, He immediately explained that what He’s calling for is action. We are to do good, bless, pray, give, etc. Throughout the Upper Room discourse (John 13-16), Jesus emphasized that whoever loves Him keeps His commands. Words are important, of course, and emotions can be, too. But nothing packs more punch than actions – the works we do. The Lord said, “Whoever hears these words of mine and does them is like one who builds his house on a rock” (Matthew 7:24).

4. We keep forgetting the Lord told us to expect to be treated badly.

“An hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.” (John 16:2)

God’s people keep expecting to be loved and appreciated by those to whom we minister and then end up getting blindsided by their hostility. We complain, “Why are they treating us this way? All I was doing was helping and blessing. Where is God? What’s wrong?”

Answer: Nothing is wrong. You are right on schedule.

We have forgotten Matthew 10:16-22and similar passages where Jesus warned we would be hated “by all for (His) name’s sake.”

5. We keep forgetting He told us to love our enemies.

This point follows on the heels of the previous ones for good reason. They treat us badly and how are we to react? We are to love them, not nurse our anger, bear grudges or protect our resentment as though we now possess a get-out-of-jail-free card entitling us to despise them.

Anyone who spends even a few minutes on Facebook reading the posts of professing Christians will come away horrified at the hostility some of the Lord’s people express toward other religions, worldly pleasure-lovers, and misguided politicians. Call their hand on it and they will answer, “I do love the sinner but hate the sin.” But everything about their behavior and all their words speaks of hatred and malice, not Christlike behavior. On the cross, dying, even as the tormentors continued their evil work, our Lord said, “Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.”

Let’s get this right, Christian. So much depends on our loving the enemies

6. We forget we are commissioned to throw parties for the undeserving and undesirable.

“When you give a reception (banquet), invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Luke 14:13-14)

These people have our Lord’s heart. They are special to Him. “He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord,” Scripture says in Proverbs. The closer we are to Jesus, the more such ones will matter to us, too. If you haven’t read Tony Campolo’s The Kingdom of God is a Party, then get it and dive in. This man has a way of hitting us between the eyes with the 2 x 4 of God’s love. In my humble opinion, as the saying goes, Tony overstates his case at times, but still, he’s so worth reading.

7. We conveniently forget that “Jesus saves.”

We know He forgives, and we love to sing about it. What we have pushed to the back burner however is the fact that He came to save sinners (see Matthew 1:21 and Luke 2:11 for starters) and that is to be our business too.

We who devote ourselves to feeding the hungry and clothing the naked and so forth, sometimes think we have fulfilled our assignment. Not even close. We fail people when we give them bread but keep silent about the Savior who can meet their true needs, fill their deepest hungers, and heal their greatest hurts.

8. We forget that with Jesus, change is the norm

Luke 5:36-39 presents new wineskins as the Lord’s pattern for His disciples: strong, flexible, faithful, growing, etc.

We do love our status quo. In science, they call it “inertia,” the tendency of a body to go on doing whatever it’s doing at the moment – moving or remaining stationary. However, the Lord does not play this game with us. He is forever calling us out of our comfort zones, abandoning our customary methods, and finding new ways of seeing and doing and achieving. No one unwilling to constantly change and adapt can follow Jesus Christ for long.

9. We keep forgetting that the object is not to keep rules.

The object is obedience to the Lord, not slavishly keeping the rules. Many of the Lord’s well-intentioned children miss the fine line between those two.

“The letter of the law kills, the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:6)

Anyone who requires a demonstration of that proof needs only to visit a legalistic church for a few weeks. They will be heartbroken over the way rule-keepers “omit the weightier matters” in order to “tithe mint and dill and cumin” (Matthew 23:23).

While preaching in a church located near a sizeable Amish community, the pastor had stories about the legalistic ways of his neighbors. One man had disinherited his adult sons for buying a car. And yet, he would hire a car and driver to transport him to Nashville where he would board planes to take him all over the world.

To the legalists who were twisting God’s laws into shackles for their neighbors, our Lord said, “Man was not made for the Sabbath, but the Sabbath was made for man” (Mark 2:27).

I suspect every church in the land has members (and often leaders) who need constant reminders of this.

10. We keep forgetting to read all the Word and not take a verse or two out of context.

“Here a verse, there a verse.” I stand before you today to confess that I’m as guilty as anyone I know. We do love our verses, don’t we? They fit so conveniently on bumper stickers and in our tweets.

How many people know and love Jeremiah 29:11 (“I know the plans I have for you….”) and claim it as their own but have no clue what’s going on in that chapter and to whom it was given.

Here’s another: In Luke 9:3, Jesus said to the disciples, “Take nothing for your journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.” Clear enough, right? Wrong.

I heard a distinguished Christian columnist quoting Luke 9:3 as the basis of God expecting poverty from Christian workers. However, he failed to point out that our Lord reversed that command in Luke 22:35-36.

It’s an easy mistake to make unless you are a diligent student of the Word.

All of which proves once again that His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways (Isaiah 55:cool.

We do like our religion easy and palatable, comfortable and undemanding with instant rewards and no room for outsiders unless they quickly become like us.

RomanceWhat Women Fear The Most (this Scares Them). by blazepascal(op): 6:29am On Mar 27, 2021
Every woman has goals and at some point she might just see you as not being the right guy for her.

Ever wondered why most relationships break despite guys doing almost everything to ensure the ladies are good to go?

Well, the reason is always very simple, women never get enough of what they want. They have got high standards that keep on improving over time. That's why you might get into a relationship with a woman who you really match with, but after sometime things just do not work out.

The gadget they hold at the palm of their hands has everything and holds in it every secret a woman hides from you.The mobile phone is able to give her extra validation and attention that she might need apart from what you are already giving her.

A woman's greatest fear is missing out on better opportunities out there. They don't want to miss out on that better guy out there.Someone who is better than you at all times. Again, women knows how to play it safe.

She is able to play it so safe that you can't even believe that she can cheat on you. The question is, have you ever taken your time to know what she does insides her mobile phone?
We know that you haven't taken your time to go through her phone because you fear disappointments that you will see in that phone.

Nowadays, most people will tell you that they are not ready to go through their partner's phones because they don't want to be stressed or disappointed

But what we tell you is that, as a guy, it is your authority to know who you are dealing. Whether she still loves you as she claims or not.

It might be possible that, she is already in another relationship through her phone and she is leaving you soon, but you don't know.

Therefore, women never want to miss out on that better guy out there since they are always looking for someone who is far much better than you. They fear being left out on such opportunities

For women who read this , i would advise you to get time and learn how to settle down with one man.

Otherwise, you are going to hit thirty years while still single and you know what thirty means in a relationship.

CareerRe: 10 Things You Should Never Be Ashamed Of In Life by blazepascal(op):
8. Your Educational background.

No matter what, a person should never be ashamed of his/her educational background. Even if you didn't finish school or you attended a poor quality school, don't be ashamed.

9. Your house.

One of the worst things a person can to is to be extremely ashamed of the place where he/she lies their head to sleep at night. Even if you live in a mud house, as long as it gives you comfort and shelter, never be ashamed of it.

10. Your Partner.

Most married people or those in a relationship are very fond of being ashamed of their partners. For instance, a man who married his wife when she was very beautiful and slim, she eventually starts giving birth to his children and then adds some weight and becomes very fat, the man starts being ashamed to carry her to parties or show his friends. This is extremely very wrong. No matter what, never be ashamed of your partner.

never listen to what people will say if you do this you are only killing your self even if you are the most nicest guy in the world people will still have some bad things to say against you so just do your best and be your self

That's all on my list, hope you have learnt something good from this article. Please comment your thoughts and share!!!

Career10 Things You Should Never Be Ashamed Of In Life by blazepascal(op): 4:33am On Mar 24, 2021
These days, we come across stories about a lot of people who are very ashamed of some things in their life. Most people actually live their life to impress others, so they often do not like to show off some certain things, rather they hide it from others. They try to make people believe they are living large or in affluence thereby hiding the embarrassing things.

However, It is important to note that, in this life, God has a plan for everyone, so it is wise to appreciate the little things he has given to you. No one should be ashamed of anything, the truth is, we are all heading somewhere. In this article today, I'll be telling you 10 things which you should never be ashamed of in life. See them below;

1. Your Mother.

have actually come across a lot of stories online, whereby some people tend to be very ashamed of their mother. Whenever their mother and friends are in the same place, they pretend as if they do not know the poor old woman. Maybe because she is putting on tattered clothes or sweating profusely and smelling after she must have rounded up from hawking on the streets to take care of her children. Any one who is ashamed of his/her mother is definitely attracting curses to their life. Take note!!!
Your family members including, father, siblings, Children and others are also included. Don't be ashamed of them.

2. Your Job.

No matter the type of work or job you are into, whether its a mechanic, hawker, shoe maker, gate man, truck pusher and so on, please never ever be ashamed to tell people what you really do. Your job is your source of income, so flaunt it, as long as you get your daily bread from it, don't be ashamed of it.

3. Your Face or Facial Appearance

This one applies mostly to women who like to look beautiful and very attractive. Most of them even subject to always wearing full faced make up, in order to cover their God given natural beauty which they don't like. Its very wrong. No matter what, never be ashamed of your face.

4. Your Financial Status

Nowadays, many youths and even teenagers go into cyber crime, robbery, prostitution, drugs and other social vices just because they want to compete with their mates in terms of who has more money or who is richer. This is very wrong, no matter how poor you are, don't be ashamed of yourself. The bible made us to understand that no condition is permanent. Just wait for God's time.

5. Your Clothes.

Some people are not happy with the type of clothes they wear and it bothers them a lot. Thereby causing them to go into bad things, just to afford expensive clothes and impress other people who do not even care about them. Even if you wear one cloth all week or repeat it very often, don't be ashamed.

6. Your Body.

Most people suffer from inferiority complex, always looking at the mirror, saying that they are not looking good. Some are very fat and wish that they can be slim. While the slim ones also wish that they can be chubby and fat. That's why its just better to be yourself and be happy.

7. Old Friends or Childhood friends.

You see those your old childhood friends whom you used to play football or sand castle together with, come rain, come sun, please never be ashamed of them. If you meet them after so many years and discover that you are in better living condition than they are, help them out rather than avoiding them completely because you are ashamed to be seen with them. most of us are found of forgetting or neglecting our old friends when we travel outside the
country be cause we now feel they are now inferior
.
if you are reading this you need to drop that habit.
