Did you know that when Dapo initially considered running for governorship in 2018, he sat down with Amosun and Amosun told him point blank that he should forget about that. He offered Dapo senate which Dapo initially refused but after an intervention from Prof Osinbajo he relented and accepted and this was agreed. Only to later discover that Amosun never had any intention of even giving him the senatorial slot, he was just leading him on. It was now when it was clear this was the case, that Dapo went full throttle for the governorship, offcourse with help from the other power blocs in the party.

I said that to say this, there are many intrigues that go on behind the scenes and it's not really simple as Yayi is tinubu's candidate, Osoba put down Dapo....blah blah blah....there are more to it than that

N funny enough, by 5pm, election materials n officers were yet to arrive akoko edo for the election. After everything, his candidate was declared winner but as God may have it, he was sacked by court ruling n the candidate of the current state governor who won the first cancelled primaries was returned elected.

Oshio baba should know that APC is not a company owned by him, he's representing the interest of all party faithful. More apc positions will be forfeited to pdp in due time.

What is d use of a Gov if he can't think outside the box to increase his State's IGR?

Amosun could have been crying plausity of funds and decide to do nothing, but he didn't. Any smart person should know that to improve IGR, u need new investors, and for them to stay, u need to give the state a facelift-massive infrastructural dev (especially to d state capital where investors sees 1st) and then provide security.

Amosun leads in infrastructure, housing, Agriculture and even the security u mentioned to be a tie...I remember banks couldn't open at all in some parts of the State b4 Amosun came to their rescue.

As for Labour relation, Amosun goofed big time... But Baba Osoba wasn't that different, though he was more forthcoming with payment of salaries before oga OGD started the deduction palava.

I also recall baba Osoba going live on OGTV on the eve of the 2003 elections to seek d forgiveness of Ogun Labour Force. Would he have done that if he treated them right? Plus he was known for his arrogance too. In fact, OGD was d most worker friendly Gov and did well in sports too.

The only area one can give kudos to Akinrogun is that, he gave rural roads and provision of water special attention.

Trust me, even with our IGR, nobody could have made significant success equally in all the sectors. Some will definitely suffer. Amosun is d father of the new Ogun State as future generations would see what he's done.

I pray Dapo doesn't disappoint those who believes in him with d greedy foxes he's surrounded himself with.

Just leave d man alone, he has done his best in the areas he thought were necessary, let Dapo do his too. If everyone can work on other sectors like Amosun did on infrastructure Ogun would be the envy of some countries in a not too distant future.

Though he wasn't perfect and goofed in some areas, he still dwarfs Osoba and OGD combined. And nothing u write or say about him can change that.

Instead, write an article that points at key areas you want Dapo to focus on. Amosun has written his own history, let Dapo write his.

What lesson? Amosun completed his two terms against most odds, won a return to the senate agaisnt most odds and still has Buhari in his corner. He only narrowly lost in his quest to plant his man. Ambode on the under hand was/is a coward and political novice.

He has the Osoba boys to contend with , OGD boys, those who abandoned Amosun, the ADC guys that decamped to APC Titi Oseni, Deji Ashiru etc .

Ogun State doesn't have the resources to satisfy all these Political interests.

I remember vividly that before Amosun became d gov of Ogun State there was massive insecurity in d State...in fact, most banks in Ogun East couldn't open because armed robbers attacked frequently with reckless abandon... But due to d Gov's sensitivity and commitment, he changed everything in less than 6 months by investing massively on security-can a State even make it economically without adequate security?

As a matter of fact, Ogun State is d safest in terms of security in d South West; close to zero kidnap cases.
