Two years as an intern? And no service year before getting fully employed? Faysuze: Hi all, I started working in October 2017. Two years as an intern and 8 months as a full staff. That's two years and 8 months. Can I get a reference letter for 3 years? Or just fill 2 years as my work experience?
I just got laid off as a result of this current pandemic. |

Wow! This notorious Amedu is everywhere!! wasseynewest: DISCLAIMER!!!!
I just discovered someone from this our forum has been using my name to DEFRAUD people here(and likely beyond). He opened an email(wasseynewest@yahoo.com) on my name and has been collecting money from people in order to coach them for IELTS.
Please, let's all be guided that this is not me at all, and in the past 18months+ that I've started my IELTS Tutorials, I have never collected a dime, not in cash or gift from any of my Students: old, new, those currently in class or the many that have aced their IELTS from our free will. |

Sis Tomi, there's nothing complex here. If you sit down and list the years of experience by jobs you have had and still have, you'll discover you have got more than 3years of experience, including at least a job that is 1year continuous. If that employment letter you got during internship does not carry all the necessary infos CIC require, you might want to get a reference letter (from that organisation) which covers such. For more details on reference letter and other useful tips, please diligently go through page 1 of this thread. All the best in this journey. Pweetytomi: Please I'll also like to ask something about my express entry profile I'm trying to claim 3years for the years of work experience but I don't know how to go about it. Lemme explain, I started internship January 2016 but due to some issues, I wasn't given an employment letter, I was latter given n it was dated August 2016. I continued the internship, though I was supposed to finish Dec 2016, I decided to stay till 2017 when I latter had to go for nysc. I was released from my internship hospital 2months before the due date which was July 2017(according to the appointment letter). This was so that I could meet up with the next batch of nysc (May 2017 batch) and since I had actually overworked. Finished service April 2018 After service I got a job sept 2018. I am still there presently.
My question is can I claim 3years with my internship, nysc and 1yr job since I will have 2months overlap between internship and nysc. Won't the VO be suspicious or something. Also is there another way I can claim 3years? |

BlessedDimma: I have already paid WES evaluation fee, sent my supporting documents to WES which is already acknowledged. I just got a mail today from WES that the transcript is not accepted. I don't know what the issue is, can someone help me look at the attached document from WES. I am so frustrated to say the least... Hmm.. This is getting serious and worrisome. Eventhough, I'm done with WES, I feel so concerned. A whole WES partnering with that calamity of a thing called ETX-NG. Such an irony! I can't even seem to wrap my head round why WES will take such decision aside if they are thinking of preventing infection through parcels from our institutions. Why reject properly authorized documents from the same schools you had hitherto accepted such from just to favour a company -largely inefficient one at that? I think previous WES users can help by logging in to protest this development via their "contact us" link. Apparently, their agents will be here too to effectively tackle this but majority will agree ETX-NG have disappointed a lot of people who trusted them to do a good job. Main point is, ETX-NG should not be forced on anyone. |

Most of these sites always warn against sending original copies of your documents. I meant one should have CIIN (by negotiation or by whatever means that can work in our Naija setting) send a copy of your SOR alongside your transcript since their SOR is touted to have grades on it and sending that oneself might make WES reject it. Nenyezz: Send a copy you mean alongside transcript or the original? |

ChukzB007: wow.. then clearly, it's risky to take CIIN because I'm already considering it. pls what's SOR by the way?
thanks Prettiepearlz: The exam is only written twice a year, April and October I think. Certificates for both batches comes out at once the following year. That is if you intend to write in October this year, your certificate will be out sometime in March/April 2021 or even further. Their SOR I am aware contains grade which isn't accepted by Wes unless it's sent by the issuing body. Lol. This is just a simple Reading sample. Imagine the Academic and GT ones. No where did @Prettiepearlz "clearly" state in her passage response that "it's risky" and that people should not consider it. The bolded only emphasized the fact that WES usually require you to mail/fax either your certificate/SOR to them personally and according to her, CIIN SOR (Statement of Result) contains grade which is unacceptable if you send such to them. The way out as she suggested, is to have CIIN send it on your behalf alongside your transcript. All the best! |

It shouldn't take that long as I learnt. You should ensure you transmit your changes (the one you made with respect to the addition of an educational qualification) like you did the first time you created your profile and submitted fully by signing off with your name. If not, the change you made might just hang in there without your profile getting updated. All the best! Torchee: yes I have. It is equivalent to a Canadian undergraduate certificate(1year) It was evaluated by WES. I really need to know...how long does it take for an EE profile update to be effected? |

As in ehn bro.. Quite unbelievable that these people keep hoping things take a negative turn for the country so that they keep reaping from the spoils. Someone says they are the "arije ni'di ibaje of Naijaland." If we do a research of this currency slide trend of African countries, it won't be surprising Naija has by far, the greatest slide against foreign currencies. I want to believe our financial institutions are sheer wicked and are just taking undue advantage of this lockdown to further weaken the Naira against foreign currencies. I know I'm a layman when it comes to Economics and its forces but I really do not have any other explanation as to why when virtually all the nations of the world are on lockdowns with little or no international trades, our Naira just kept loosing its value. More quite annoying that within a space of just a month, Naira has moved from an average of N280 - 1CAD to over N320 - 1CAD. What do I know sef? Shey, we kuku like to make things difficult for ourselves before just for our selfish gains. Corona came, and we all saw how astute in business we can get with the way the prices of facemasks, hand gloves, sanitizer and goods in general skyrocketed. This was even at a time when there was a reduction in petrol pump price. Eagles92: Hi everyone, I need to contact access bank as regarding their current exchange rate (330) to 1 CAD.

What he's saying is the points haul from Masters is higher than what BCS will ever fetch you. After Masters, PhD is next in line, in terms of points. So going for BCS or any other additional course is a waste of time and resources, when you already have a Masters degree, from the "additional points" view. Summarily, BCS can only add more points if you have a single degree like BSc, ND, RN etc where upon completion and evaluation, the BCS adds to you, an extra certificate to make it '2 or more certificates' which is just below Masters/Professional Degree. Cowbell521: U saying Writing BCS with my Masters won't add any point? My believe is that BCS is another thing on it own......abi....am I missing something? |
