Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Uba Or Pwc by blinx4real(m): 10:46am On Jun 18, 2009
Thats a question that should never even arise, how would you compare PWC to UBA na beans, PWC is miles ahead of UBA in terms of work culture, environment, opportunities, class, pay sef and even oppoerunities for self development.
After spending 3 years in PWC, UBA will not mind paying you 3ce the amount you are earning to get your services, they will come begging you with juicy positions just to get you with them. Its not the company that matters its what you have been able to acquire and thats what PWC will give you, SINCERE ADVICE

Politics / Re: House Of Reps: 20 Million Niger Delta Citizens Should Be Allowed To Die by blinx4real(m): 5:32am On May 23, 2009
Una don make me vex and I find it hard to stop the onslaught,,
For all those crying foul and intimidation, exploitation and all, have you bothered to find out the truth of how the biz is run in the oil and gas industry? The regular payments in cash and kind that go to the community heads and youth leaders from the multi-nationals before any project can be done at all, has anyone told you what an FTO (freedom to operate) is? that must be collected from the community before mobilisation? Even after collecting LTO from DPR.
Do the contrators tell you that any project work in ND costs more than 200% higher than what it will cost any where else in nigeria (because of all the community issues that you will face) and will be delayed more times than you can imagine? The ND has been turned into a lawless entity because of series of bad government and it is not just the Fed govt that is to blame, Odili was collecting 13billion Naira on a monthly basis for 8 years, and nothing to show for it besides funding Ateke Tom and paying for chieftaincy titles all over the country.
Lets stop this blame game and point at the real issues, militancy will not resolve the ND debacle it will further complicate the plight of the people, ND needs true represenation at all levels of govt and reps that can be trusted to press home the real issues rather than money sharing reps like we currently have.
Kudos to Gov AMechi who is fired up and is presenting the zero tolerance stance for militancy, that is the kind of govt we need in ND, not govs that will be paying them salary from the state security vote.

ND cannot be expunged out of Nigeria, it has contributed too much to be neglected but only through dialogue and discussions can it be achieved, if the Ogonis can accomplish this much without firing a bullet, why can't the others take a cue? If Mandela can win the war against Apartheid from inside the prison, then there is no excuse for this war, All this org, MEND, NPVF, IYC etc etc are all self serving, there funding is provided by politicians and companies that want higher stake in the oil biz and have no interest of the pple at heart

In this age when the dreams of Martin Luther King Jnr that ]"every man, woman and child will no longer be judged by the color of their skins, eyes or where they come from but by the capacity of their intellect" is begining to come to realisation all over the world, we are threading the path of backwardness,  You are no better than the corrupt ministers and senators in Abuja, in fact you are worse.
Politics / Re: House Of Reps: 20 Million Niger Delta Citizens Should Be Allowed To Die by blinx4real(m): 5:10am On May 23, 2009
Going thru the thread and posts, I must say that I am very disappointed with the crop of posters on this topic,  the deep rot of tribalism that has taken hold of you all is despicable.

First of all, if you do not realise it, this is exactly what the militants want, a state of anarchy that will project them to relevance and change them from thieves and hooligans who have been living of money made from kidnapping and oil bunkering to freedom figthers and saviours of the ND pple.

The case for development of ND has never been denied nor contested but what you all need to realise is that war and taking up arms will not solve it, today the SRi-Lankan war against the Tamils are over, the tigers have all been killed or routed but the plight of the tamils have not been resolved, infact they are just begining. I think it is totally unfair for you all to sit in ur plush and ac-ed houses in d UK, hypocritically in Lagos and sadistically even in Abuja in relative peace and tranquility offered you by the hospitality of the same people you so shamelessly call despotic and you are all willing to do away with and clamour for violence in the ND.
The only people who should have any liver to say anything on this topic should be browsing from Gbaramatu kingdom.
Politics / Re: Power Sector: Yar’adua Deceiving Nigerians – Aliyu, Ex-reps Leader by blinx4real(m): 8:25pm On May 18, 2009
visit my blog and read the truth about Africa, we have killed too many innocents and rejected those who ought to lead us out of darkness. When we gave Awo the title - the best President Nigeria never had, it sounded so cliche but today its obvious that we made an irreversible mistake that may take the Grace and Mercy of God to redeem.

Ibori,
Fani-Kayode
, now Ndidi Elumelu?

Now I know why people like IBB and OBJ just laugh when Niegrians accuse them of corruption. I keep getting the feeling that everyone is just waiting for his own opportunity to steal as soon as they get into any position of authority. What a shame.

Kindly post their names I would like to keep a record for the sake of my children

wwheelz, you don't seem to get the point, the cost of d house is not the issue at least that will be negotiated when the prospective buyers contact the seller but the key thing is that the way we present oursleves dont make us look serious, infact it gives the impression of small time agents looking for some fast money, especially with the chorus of "
O2nber:

Note that there are other prospective buyers
"
I have had the experience many times and when I called their bluff, the property remains there for donkey years, so where are the preospective buyers then
Property purchase should not be a rushed decision so don't pressure people

Guys you've been doing a great job and your professionalism impresses me.
Infact you make the Lagos boys like petty agents out to play a fast one on investors, with their incomplete and misguided information on landed properties.
keep it up

Culture / Re: Why Don't White People Have African Surnames? by blinx4real(m): 2:10pm On May 08, 2009
Is Osaze Odemwinge balck or white? how come he has an African Name

This isnot a Topic, the reason you have a surname is because your parents have that name which they got from their parents which they got from their own parents too.
Thoes who have english name must at a time in their lineage had significant inetractions with foreign culture such that it influenced them strongly to adopt the new name,
OR
As in the case of slaves they have no recollection of their ancestral name and had to be called something and obviuosly the foreign name came in handy.
I dont see anything to be worried about here, the case to note is Africans called Damola at home who travelled abroad for 2 weeks and came back as Damian!!! I don't know if you all recall one Tesilimi Liasu that became Taslim Elias, That is what gives me concern for worry
Religion / Re: Pastor Adeboye - Man With Animals Inside His Head. by blinx4real(m): 3:16pm On Apr 30, 2009
I wonder why these generation is so quick to deny the spiritual? The Spiritual world is just as real as the one we see and touch everyday. I feel it is an escapist mindset by human beings to try to deny the existence of anything they can't understand.
It is safer to just acknowledge that we don't understand rather than call it a sham, The many lives that men of God in all forms have saved from the bondage of evil people stand as a testimony.

2. NL is one of the fastest loading pages I know Don't lose that
3. Don't hide pages where they its hard to find them.
4. That frontpage is what keeps me here, I can always trust to know whats up from the homepage

3.Calculate Amount Paid

If hours worked is < = 9
Then
Amount paid =HoursWorked *N5
Else
Amount Paid = HoursWorked * N10

Overtime is paid for extra hours above the usual 8-5

So,  overtime calculations should be more like
You should av a process for calc overtime separately

,

3.Calculate Amount Paid

If hours worked is < = 9
Then
Amount paid =HoursWorked *N5
Else
Amount Paid = [9 * N5] + [(Hoursworked - 9)*N10]

Repeat Until there is no more Employee

Politics / Re: Chief Obafemi Awolowo: National Hero Or Villain? by blinx4real(m): 1:19pm On Apr 03, 2009
I've been reading these lengthy articles on Pa Awo and on reading the last one, I felt a deep sense of both sadness and euphoria at the same time.
Euphoria that Nigeria has produced someone so insightful, commited and passionate to the course of freedom - true freedom for his fatherland.
and Sadness because, like Solomon says, it is vanity, when the wise man dies and only fools are left to reap and eat of his labours!
