Nairaland / General / Re: KFC Apologises To Gbenga Daniel’s Son Over Discriminatory Treatment by blinx4real(m): 11:51pm On Mar 28
This statement by KFC is dishonest and an attempt to throw the poor staff under the bus. She clearly stated that it was a company policy not instituted at her own discretion. So KFC needs to firstly clarify that this is untrue and explain how the staff came to this conclusion that wheel chairs are not allowed.

There are only 3 governors in Nigeria
No 1. Babajide Sanwoolu
No 2. Babagana Zulum
No 3. Gov Bago (Niger state)

The rest are merely occupying space…

In 1984 General Muhammadu Buhari was head of State, while Admiral Madueke was state Governor... If Madueke met Buhari on the streets he will salute and maintain that position until authorised to stand down.
Even if you are to fabricate a story, learn a little history and at least let your plot be plausible so you don't sound foolish

Politics / Re: Why Acn May Support Pdp In A Run-off by blinx4real(m): 10:26am On Apr 12, 2011
Very Laughable,
ACN is about to sweep off the governorship in the following PDP states - Akwa-Ibom, Oyo, Ogun, Benue, Kwara, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, why will they sacrifice that for a second place in the Presidential?
It shows that PDP has no knowledge of Politcs and they are actually being led by a drunken fisherman! That was a proverb that PDP has still not unravelled. Your boat is about to capsize and you are busy negotiating for more fish?
The folks in ACN have learnt their lessons from the sad demise of AD and ANPP through their unholy alliance with PDP, The loss of PDP is Opposition gain, that merger will never happen!

Half Educated GEJ supporters at it again o!
Is Buhari INEC? or is he the Police? If you have evidence of such acts, kindly direct them to the relevant authorities and demand that they be prosecuted. Stop throwing your ignorance around like an oversized agbada.
The incompetence and Corrupt ineptitude of the PDP govt has brought us to this point where state apparatus have been converted to the personal properties of politicians and the agencies no lnger perform their duties as stated, We shall flush you all out when we are finally sworn in on May 29.

This is a serious act of irresposibily and a tip of wat u guys do with public post in the name of moderating.
I second your motion, The NL moderators have always been biased and never stop showing it. This is the height of irresponsible journalism and what brings disrespect to this noble profession.

So you all don't see anything wrong in OBJ and IBB attempting to scheme their way into a position of influence in Buhari's govt? these same people who keep pushing GEJ to make stupid mistakes, yet you hammer Buhari for standing by his word?
Do you know what integrity means at all?
DO you know that it implies you standing by your decisions even in the face of an easier but definitely compromising way out.

This is the reason why Nigeria continues to fail, because we are more in love with politics than service, we love the rhetorics but can't stand by what we say

Pharoh:

So why has there been people castigating goodluck when he did not attend the first debate or the one to be held tomorrow?. He can choose to attend the dbanj concert so he should be left to the consequences of his choice.
The reason why GEJ is getting the hammer for failing to attend the previous debate is because a lot was done to accomodate him, up to the point of shifting the date twice, yet even after agreeing to be present he chickened out at the last minute with a frivolous excuse, He has to be more deft to be taken seriously

Dude--- that's no reason to boycott this debate, you guys make it seem as if NN24 is more credible than the organisers of this debate or has more reach than this one-- c'mon, If GEJ has the right to choose which ever he wants to attend and likewise the opposition, then good--- don't castigate the president then for not attending that of NN24.
Sorry dude, there's no castigation here. It just shows that all men are born equal, GEJ has a right to refuse, just as the other three guys do. They have just decided to make use of their fundamental human rights!

I guess your IQ is higher than Putin's IQ.     .      .  who knew!
The official language of Russia is not English, for Putin to be able speak as good as he does shows how adept he is intellectually,  Can we say the same of of your madam? There is nothing wrong in been unlettered but there is a big issue when you pretend it's not important, that only makes u a bumbling fool.
Politics / Re: Who Is More Proficient In English - Dame Jonathan Or Rita Koko Mansion ? by blinx4real(m): 3:10pm On Mar 08, 2011
PapaBrowne:

The interesting thing is that over 80% of Nigerians are not proficient in English!! These 80% include market women, wives of Okada riders, farmers, pure water sellers, recharge card sellers and real Nigerians! Funny thing is that these people who cannot speak proficient English constitute the bulk of Nigerians voters!
And you know what?? They find in Patience Jonathan, someone they can relate to!! They love her and they would vote for her husband during the elections!!

Sometimes we think speaking proficient English is a function of elitism! What we fail to realise is that while millions of graduates are roaming the streets speaking proficient English and begging for jobs, street smart entrepreneurs with little or no English proficiency run the Nigerian economy from places like Idumota, Alaba, Nnewi, Ariaria, Onitsha Main market and the likes!!

Be there in your mosquito infested environment speaking proficient English, while Dame Jonathan is in the luxury of Aso Rock with maids and servants at her beck and call attending to her in whatever language she speaks! Dame Jonathan has 2 hands, 2 legs, I brain just like you!! If you like no go find better thing to do!!

STOP trying to justify mediocrity with a profligacy of words, Your ability to speak proper english is a sign of your IQ (intelligence), the concern is that for someone who claims to have passed through more than 6 years of education, for others even up to 16 years of education all taught in English language it becomes more and more baffling how the person can still not express themselves in simple english? It is an indication that you either are slow in the head or you actually did not go to school as you claim,
My grandmother (>80 years old) did not go to secondary school, yet her vocabulary and grammar is as robust as any graduate in this country today. At >80 she can still beat Dame hands down.
These kind of justification you give is the reason why we have these crooks and empty headed representatives who make laws that are of benefit to no one except themselves, who throw chairs and punches at the NASS.

Politics / Re: Jonathan camp disagrees with Buhari, Ribadu, Shekarau over debate by blinx4real(m): 1:17pm On Mar 02, 2011
Brother there are so many things in this damn country that everyone has been affected somehow and we can discuss all of them if you want to. This was the reason why i said we should not debate it,  people are not coming to debate issues but adding sentiments to it with all the political undertones to it. People have been victims to accident, armed robbery, communal clashes, religious crisis, land crisis and whatever which need to be discussed so Jos is not a special case but people want to add sentiments to it. So it is not up to debate for me, we can discuss issues that includes the Jos crisis in a general form without pointing out to it specifically.

I am open to every topic but people are just pointing out to those issues to score cheap political points like are those the only or main problems affecting Nigeria.  Some topics should not be debated if people can keep their heads down and think objectively but because of hatred we want to debate about dwindling excess crude account and foreign reserve. Some questions are not meant  for debate but just inquires that you can make to the presidency or the national assembly. Because we don't know our rights, we are putting them up for debate, we should be debating about issues pertaining to our development and growth and not these petty issues

I am really surprised and at the same time disappointed you are expressing these views,  it is completely inhumane and without any sense of regard for the many Nigerians who have lostv their lives and properties to unnecessary violence of various kinds - all because of Politics and irresponsible leadership. Why will GEJ/Sambo feel safe enough to go to Jos to campaign yet Sambo cancels his official visit for reasons of violence? Why?
If the place is not safe enough to WORK, why is it safe enough to campaign in?
No question should be out of bounds and if your opponent can score a cheap point by answering those questions satisfactorily without seeing the questions beforehand why can't you?
