lwkmd! Boko threatening haram. still the same people ![]() |
When boko haram finally kills American citizens like Al Qaeda in 2001 they will not play watch Nigeria President roast and desperate with anti-western terror organisation. I can understand the present situation is ideal for controlling our President and getting him to do as u command but remember the Northern Nigeria bomber on American Flight becos the North is fast becoming a breeding ground for such islamic fighters since u refuse to label them terrorist. |
^Nothing is hidden under the sun, it is only a matter of time before the wind blows and the chickens back side is exposed. |
. |
OP, Don't know if u started this thread as some kind of joke but ur not far from the truth on boko haram and quote me on this in my next thread were i unmask the boko haram from genesis to revelations. ![]() |
I am not surprised, this boko harams have army training so such lengthy battles should be expected. |
^^ I asked a simple question and here u are talkin like a terrorist. Wat is the average intelligence level of Nigerians today becos am very disappointed so far. |
The puzzle is gradually starting to unravel itself to those with a discerning spirit. Boko haram controllers are Nigeria former high ranking Army Officers from the military era. They were very active politically during the transition to democracy and served under OBJ with majority hoping to return as Democratic President in rigged election. OBJ did not play by the script and now they are fighting to re-establish their grip on power. I can point out each and everyone of them but that will be for the next thread. |
Is this a clue from the boko chief video on youtube? Notice the similarity with the Army in pic no:2!

People like this Prof has clearly benefited immensely from Nigeria oil wealth under Northern supervision and presently a trusty in danjuma foundation, are lobbying the American President to abstain from whatever human rights violation going on in Nigeria. He shouldn't get involved. Isn't that funny coming from people that go around the world instituting regime change via allegations of weapons of mass destruction and human rights abuses? Well, when genocide takes place in Nigeria, we can expect them not to get involved. These are the type of Aboki oil liason and addict doing the lobbying and warning in America. Check the links for her profile and her recent warning to Obama. http://www.tydanjumafoundation.org/about/board-of-trustees/ http://allafrica.com/stories/201201040617.html

God punish Adamawa Gov. |
In the UK police officers are recruited from far away India. Nigeria should have a specially positioned foreign team away from the mainstream to act as a check and balance and issue directive. All this arrest and escape is 1920s and embarrassing. The entire armed forces should be reformed and no ethnic group should be a majority within a quota system. Let people find skilled jobs or trade rather than join armed forces becos they have no brains. |
This is a very foolish thread. I mean wat is the igbo and yoruba obsession? It is clear even to an outsider that they just tolerate each other. On nairaland, i have come across several writing by different people of Yoruba extraction referring to Igbos as the enemy in their discussion. Initially, i was shocked becos it was something new that i had never imagined but came to terms with that. Igbos on the other hand, are indifference to yorubas in the sense that their is no strong feelings or attachment. We neither hate or love yorubas but can feel both emotions depending on them. |
Keep dreaming bigots. We igbo's were put on earth by God and blessed by him, to that effect u are fighting a lost cause. Dream on! Wat language do people in the east speak primarily? Hediot! |
Speaking based on the results below, no way in hell will Urhobo join the west. Of all the groups on that list, they were the most keen to leave. 150,382 voted yes and only 273 voted no. The lowest no vote in the chat, from the highest yes population of all the ethnic group voters turnout. Damn, they wanted out more than the Asaba Igbos and Ijaws. Shocking! www.nairaland.com/attachments/618690_Midwest_gifc8ab793912f73fbfd315c809824d9a07

|
Rest in Peace, gone too soon. ![]() |
lmao There are many more bigger fish not just Uba. The job must be done properly with jail term handed respectively. It is likely igbo's themselves put him out but without the rest(looters, cabal, boko haram sponsors together as the same people) this exercise is already a failure. nuff said. |
oyb:Everbody is entitled to their opinion but I beg to disagree on this one because the President evidently is committed to a better Nigeria for future generations. |
Nigeria really needs a Visionary Leadership Nigerians waking up to the start of the incumbency of the present administration a year ago would be forgiven for thinking its business as usual. However, if you had recently won a reprieve from the goal, effectively emerged, from a period of horrific incarceration and miss-rule under a most corrupt, brutal and repressive regime, your outlook to life changes. Things you'd have taken for granted are no longer insignificant. Opportunities to compromise are no longer so attractive, so much so that the President has set out his agenda from day one and no one has been under any illusions that he meant what he said. From positioning the Oil Ministry via subsidies removal and deregulation under his direct control to attracting outstanding professionals like Mrs Okonjo-Iweala to resolve previously intractable problems, the President has consistently kept the big picture in view. GEJ PDP has done very well to outline exactly what it envision for Nigeria in the next four years. We have seen GEJ interviewed on International television stations and the content of his PDP manifesto with provisions for adequate healthcare, power supply, promotion of good governance, sustainable development, creation of opportunities, poverty alleviation and financial empowerment of the whole citizenry of the Federal republic of Nigeria, creation of job opportunities. It would be a disastrous mistake to assume that the bar of expectation is set so low. The ruling party should endeavour to self-censure to avoid a shock at the 2015 polls. Thousands of high-fliers all over the world wait eagerly with anticipation for the clarion call to return to throw in their lot with our brothers and sisters to restore the nation to its greatness. GEJ presidency has laid the foundation. |
I had said Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was smart and with every word that comes from his mouth, he confirms that. Wish all hausa -fulani could adjust alittle bit more, to be like him. Surely one Nigeria would be complete. I just wish. |
Nigeria needs Strong leadership Nigeria has attracted distinguished public servants in the current presidency, the likes of Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Olusegun Olutoyin Aganga, Madueke and their courage in the face of adversity and resistance of the old guard has only been made possible because the President has backed them with regard to subsidies removal. There is no amount of cynical pretensions that can be projected to Nigerians at home or Diaspora that there wll be a continuance of the ground breaking wars on, indiscipline, corruption, illegal drug counterfeiters, sharp practices in the banking sector and national debt without a visibly strong leadership at the Presidency. It will not come as a surprise to Nigerians that the citizens in Diaspora are generally better acquainted with the trends and drama unfolding because of advances in technology and a strong connection with the fatherland. The leader needed must be strong to meet the various challenges of leading the millions of Nigerians who need positive and workable strategies to improve their quality of life, health, living standards, education, communication, food, security and transportation. The Business Community needs a leader strong on initiatives to drive down inflation, push through efficiences through public private sector partnerships, and promote entrepreneurship and competition. |
Bold Leadership: Nigeria needs a President that can defied his detractors and surprised his friends in equal terms by his principled stand on the issues he chose to support no matter whose ox is gored. GEJ undoubtedly is a man on a mission to return the nation to greatness it deserves, but will only succeed and win the admiration of friends and foes alike, not just because he is moving with the agility of a man whose days in power are truly numbered but who also realises that he has to preserve his legacy in trust for coming generations. Nigeria needs a leader to possess the agility and sharp mindset to take tough decisions in the national interest. OBJ, YARDUA are fine examples, how many times did they publicly raced to one of the fathers of the nation to seek advice in the face of tough desisions? Nigeria needs a leader that is his own man. |
Pro-active Leadership In the past week, the nation has been roused from the stupor of the potently uninspiring misrule of successive administration, patently lazy leaders whose inability to project success had stunted development and financial empowerment. The Present administration of GEJ in removing the fuel subsidies has laid a strong foundation for the emergence of a strong economy by investing in a sustainable future via infrastructure development to increase the pace of development initiated/set by present regime. however, the twin menace of boko haram and nlc/protest are collaborating to encourage a laid back, lacklustre and slow economic activity to derail the train. If GEJ do not deem it fit to stay on course, no matter the challenge NLC/Protesters and Boko Haram alike, then more disruptive groups will rise becos he would have conformed to the image that he really do lack the magic that the nation needs and the whole world expects. |
A test of GEJ resolve/leadership challenge. I am waiting. |
LMAO!! These people are jokers, a revolution? Wat kind? A Lagos revolution or Boko haram northern revolution? Things in the east and south are back to normal already. It is a Lagos Revolution! SMH |
OP, Very true and sad about failed politicians and even boko haram have hijacked protest. This strike is actually illegal. |
Whatever happens GEJ must not revert prices to 65 if his Presidency is to worth anything. All Presidents of Nigeria and strong and he must not be seen to be weak. All across the eas, people are going about their normal activities and the south with the exception of banks being closed. Why should the Southwest and North hold Nigeria hostage for oil they don't produce? |
Interestin perspective but not sure Nigeria could revert from this point. |
Mr Okechukwu Adieze is a Solicitor Advocate of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is currently a Legal Adviser with the United Kingdom Police Force. In this interview, he bared his mind on the Boko Haram menace that is ravaging Nigeria. He also discussed ways by which Nigeria can come out of the present insecurity situation. Excerpts : What is your assessment of the security situation in the country? Terrorism is a complex and protracted phenomenon. The Christmas day bombing puts Boko Haram within the bracket of religiously motivated terrorist groups. However, religion is not a single and simple causal factor in this kind of violence. It is important to understand the typology, goal structures and objectives of the group which will shed light in determining their tactical behaviour, propensity to attack soft targets, disposition to sustain a campaign and to recruit. The understanding of these considerations would play a major role in determining the lethality of attacks and behaviour of the group. It is common knowledge that terrorists generally consider themselves as idealist; unsurprisingly, it is empirically substantiated that religiously motivated attacks are more prone to be lethal. The stakes are usually high with the potential that future generations may inherit an inordinately expensive conflict if the appropriate conflict resolution management model is not timely and effectively deployed. If you to proffer solution to the present insecurity issues, what would be your solution? As already indicated terrorism is a complex and challenging task. An effective counter terrorism strategy requires a significant investment and commitment in all fronts, from short to long term strategies which must be operationally coherent and relevant in the circumstance. An adept analysis and understanding of the threat, resilience, intelligence together with an effective partnership and collaborative working arrangements is necessary. Counter terrorism measures rely on a number of complimentary partnerships and contemporary initiatives which must embrace, amongst others, the need to promote diversity, religious tolerance, an understanding of radicalisation, etc. Counter terrorism strategy principally includes a war of ideas, to counter continued resonance of religious radicalisation and to break the cycle of terrorist recruitment. The war against terrorism must be tackled simultaneously at both ends of the bridge in a robust manner. How did some foreign countries that encountered such insecurity issues curtail the menace? Pakistan is a deeply troubling example of religiously motivated terrorism. Over the past decade, Pakistan suffered from sectarian and religiously-motivated violence, much of it was committed against Shi’a Muslims by Sunni extremists, but also against Ahmadis, Christians, and Hindus. Beginning in early 2008, armed extremists, some of whom have ties to Al-Qaeda or to the Afghan Taliban, intensified attacks including bombings. The militant groups couched their activities in the form of jihad and claimed that violent jihad is a duty incumbent upon all Muslims. As is well known, the term “jihad” evokes different and orthogonal concepts. Pakistan successfully sustained a steady supply of recruits for the militant missions, jihad” The Pakistani authorities approach was multi pronged which included counter terrorism enforcement, negotiation, new education policy to enhance understanding of inclusivity and diversity, etc. It is of note that the Malakand peace agreement which came out of the negotiation was based on political expediency and appeasement and it attracted a number of international condemnations urging Pakistan to ratchet up its urgency in the fight against terrorism. In Northern Ireland, Spain and Israel a number of varied options were applied including no negotiations policy, strict counter terrorism enforcement and measured negotiation strategies, etc. Some Nigerian leaders are already calling government to dialogue with Boko Haram which is behind the insecurity menace in Nigeria. Do you subscribe to this? Terrorists groups, in particular, those relating to religiously motivated groups have nothing to lose by negotiating. The threat of renewed violence gives them undue power at the negotiating table to insist on total concession to all their demands.http://thejuristlaws..com/2012/01/cias-prediction-boko-haram-and-matters.html |
Yaardua did a good job with boko, never negotiate with terrorist. It is kill or be killed. |
