Politics › Re: El-Rufai: Emefiele's Grasp Of Basic Economics Is Abysmal by blowjohn(m): 4:24pm On Feb 13, 2023
4ward4:
Enough of the attacks on Godswin, I had my reserved on this policies . But currently it looks, like the best thing on this part of the world. Where kidnapping and terrorism flourishes because of the availability of Naira. Kidnapping someone today and asking for a bogus ransom will simply amount to you not wanting your demands to be met. Or better still the kidnapper will opt for transfer which won't go down well. So far meat sellers and petty traders are now comfortable taking transfer, that there is a success.
My only suggestion is a reduction in transfer charges. it should amount into something insignificant, like N2:00 per transfer.
What then is the usefulness of NIN, and BVN in curbing terrorism?
Is it money that is even making insecurity thrive or lack of will to fight it?

Na wa o. Seriously, our leaders should always think through policies before implementing them.
This naira swap doesn't look well planned to me.

The POS guys are taking advantage of the situation to exploit Nigerians. Imagine paying 20% on each withdrawal. Yesterday wasn't funny at all, needed some cash and the POS guy said he charges 2k on 10k......so, on 30k withdrawal I would have to cough out 6k. It was painful, honestly speaking.
What if the POS guys are also buying the money?
