denitro: Nigeria is the craziest country I know,. President is ending his tenure and still in campaign mode "I will" all the nuclear power plants will be useless because the Disco are still rejecting power despite the small amount being generated, why will they not reject more power then? We have office of the president not paying power bill Ministries not paying power bill Police, Military all owning billions in light bills Disco then only sending power to high paying customers and leaving large part of the country in darkness despite having the means to accept power to send to them.
SHORT TERM The solution to Nigeria's power problem is simple "GOVERNMENT SHOULD PAY FOR POWER" Cancel the whole Goodluck Jonathan stupid privatisation and pay whatever compensation their lawsuit will bring. Create a better system of distribution and force everyone to use Prepaid "including the office of the president"
LONG TERM Cancel fuel subsidy and replace it with power subsidy, meaning everyone gets power for free. "it will be far cheaper than fuel subsidy cost and you are sure labor will never protest it because everyone stands to benefit" Pull funds from the excess crude account and establish a 200MW power station in each states. Lagos and all states close to the coastal area will use wind power. Oil rich states will focus on gas turbine the north on dams. 200 x 36 = 7,200 MW then ensure that the total preinstalled 18,000 MW is repaired and everything is working. We can establish 25,000 MW in 2 years. That is how the developed countries developed. We celebrate mediocracy here in Nigeria. Look at the presidential candidates and you will weep for this country. I don't understand you, you mean government should re nationalise the privatised power companies? Are you high or something? |

It's funny that the west thinks it's in their place to decide what a crime Is and who a criminal should be but refuse to discuss the wanton looting they and their likes carried out and are still carrying out in Africa neither are they prepared to make reparations. Simply because they own the media they tend to project and amplify only crimes committed in Africa whilst turning a blind eye to the impunity they perpetrate. Someone should tell them the evil that men do lives with them. Hushpuppi and other keyboard bombers are just taking back what they (the west) stole from us Safe this time it's in hard currency. If you’re a developer you would know that kids much younger than her in that uk that’s she talking about are achieving in Ai, machine learning, system design etc. Wtf is certificate in basic html css and sql, let me not talk about the JavaScript sha cos that’s also subject to verification. What has she been able to build?? It’s time we brace up as a society and stop glorifying mediocrity. Throwing the word genius without caution is not the way to go. Don’t get me wrong. Kudos to the young babe. But I think this is misinformation. It’s obvious she is from a well to do family. Who have helped to cushion the effects of this Buhari economy on her. She attended a top notch school both in the uk and here. So In my humble opinion this is nothing but PR LOL.....as usual Nigerians and Africans with overbloated ego. |

Luchitec: This poster is unbelievable, I kept shaking my head while reading his posts. The idea of Nigeria generating electricity from nuclear reactors is nothing but an epic delusion. Can you imagine that no nuclear power plant exists in the whole of Western Canada? Why, one might ask? Nuclear power plants are prohibited in some of the provinces in Western Canada because they are damn too risky to manage. Secondly, it is way cheaper and safer to generate electricity from hydro (dams)!
It's hilarious that the Nigerian government that lacks efficient solid waste management plan for major cities in the country is thinking of nuclear power plants These folks in government should realize that managing liquid waste and spent fuel rods from nuclear plants is no small task. By the way, do Nigeria have mines for the nuclear fuel (Uranium)? So true. Ordinary waste disposal and management is a big issue in this country talkless of managing waste from nuclear plants that can still remain radioactive active for years. |

Imagine if something goes wrong or some of its components end up being vandalised which leads to radiation poisoning, E go affect all man for Lagos. KnownUnknown: In the ancient times at the dawn of civilization, the leaders/priesthood saw that there is power in numbers and numbers improve the odds against other societies. So they instituted laws and commandments from “god” about procreation and children being a “blessing”. They even said god commanded “be fruitful and multiply”. Truth is they needed people to build societies and wage wars.
This scheme persists and is codified in scriptures and religion. Religions also need the high birth rates to keep their numbers stable because virtually no one believes the bullshit stories of religion unless they are born into it. Since the world has advanced enough that they can’t kill and force people to believe, they resort to promoting irresponsible procreation. Africans religiosity leaves them susceptible to this scam. Coupled with poverty and illiteracy, you get a slow moving tragedy. The Catholic Church for instance will frown against simple condom use and frown against abortion. But they have no problem with impoverished people. That keeps them in business. Pure jargon and guess work. |
