IEI-buy Dunlop-hold on small but look at buying. UBA-Sell for CICO if you hold now,but medium term then buy Caveat Emptor! |

Wendy As I comot I see the share price of blueband dey go down an him I return. So tay person don dey talk of planta. When I was around dem no born anyone to consider planta."Mama Bakasi"-Senator Ita Giwa(See as she carry bakasi issue for her heart,na so u carry our matter for your heart o) |
After reading the post that Aktopgun and myself might be needed soon I felt I would be doing my prospective clients a great disservice by remaining under. IEI_I bought when it was 5.95kobo.I saw it get to 7.45kobo,in my 1+1 sense I was using it's old value of 2 naira before reconstruction to calculate how far it can go.Next time it ever reaches 6.60kobo I dey comot.Chei na so I do for Japaul wey the thing come reach 15 naira. It is only now,3 months after that I have the liver to sometimes talk about Japaul Something is brewing in Transcorpse o.UBA bought massively into it to get a hand shake on NITEL.UBA has almost seen it's investment go down the drain.Transcorp people sabi pay themselves big salary for doing nothing.UBA has resorted to "artificially" stabilising it's own share price.Shares have been bought for staff running into billions on loan from the floor of the house.Imagine a driver getting 500k worth of shares on the condition that he won't sell them in at least a year and the money will be deducted from his salary. This is creating some sort of demand on the shares.Who knows the NSE magic might begin to happen in Transcorp soon .Too many big boys with money inside it."The more you see the less you understand".But my risk appetite no allow me go near am.As for UBA it will be a nice move to get out now,use the money on other stocks and come back later for people who intend to do CICO.But be careful when action start you no go see am buy o. ABC-1 for 2 bonus? .No be God!That one go help turn my spreadsheet profit to green.Airservice-Monopoly in the industry.I thought NAHCO also dealt with serving food and cleaning planes. So na only Airservice? The big airlines-BA et al,dey carry there food come from London,Paris, etc. They no dey use the facilities of AirService except to carry their dirty container go empty and return.Dem no want food poisioning cos that will be a potential class suit running into millions. They are lobbying against this.If they succeed expect more profit.Yes o food for inside aeroplane na big business.Another issue is that of arbitary allocation of space for bukataria inside Airport by those FAAN people.Their end of year is 31st March,2007.Lets see what Dele Cole has in stock. As no politics to play now maybe the guy fit just use him profit reward us well well cos I hear say them hammerDid you guys hear the story of his kids taking their inheritance before due date some years ago?If that story was true abeg make we send Atake to help us cordon those children for Airservices o.For medium termers it is at an attractive price now after losing from over 27 naira to 24 naira in the last week.E fit even sweet for CICO sef,if you carry plenty volume.Rumour of a bonus and early good results might just propel this one.Caveat Emptor o.I get hand and leg inside this one by "order error" o. Insurance-Not all Insurance dey bleed o.See STACO.NEM don dey rise again o.If it's true NEM is going on TS soon,as in very very soon as speculated by "informed sources"then this rise might just be for positioning before TS.Caveat Emptor. How una de spell this Cavaet sef? It would have been easier to change my name and return to Nairaland but for obvious reasons I have returned as blueband.Abeg those of una wey begin go dey buy Planta make una remember say blueband dey make children win inter-house sport race o.Thanks for all the kind postings I received.Walahi lai lai I no go ever play with my elders again.Na one thing dem go tell you,you go begin go think why you come London! ![]() Crazy T how far?U don make another 3000 percent?I hope say I no dey shake you for shoulder o ![]() |
Guys, When I joined this thread it was about giving information and tips on which stocks to pick with the occasional jokes and banter. Today we have been infiltrated by business men and smallbies. Everybody sabi him level-as for me I am a small time investor doing this by the side and it has really made me some extra money by the side.Pumping-I salute you.You have single handedly taken it upon yourself to make me some millions in the last 3 months.Aktopgun-Thanks for putting breaks on my high risk appetite.CrazyT-The kind money you dey make for NSE dey make me jealous no be small.Wendy-You be real mama Bakasi(not in that sense)! .IOMA-You just make me laugh out loud all the time.Easimoni-Keep it coming,WanajO(na you get channel O?)-Good man.Napoleon-I no get quarell with you o.Walahi if I had known you were an elder I for no carry your matter too joke.Ka yi hakuri don allah. Greentree-Take am easy.No be so this life be. I hereby retire BLUEBAND from this thread.Take it easy folks. It was nice contributing to Nairaland! |
NITEL may stop operations by Sept- Former MD Written by The Nigeria Telecommu-Jibrin Abubakar Monday, 10 March 2008 The Nigeria Telecommunications Plc, NITEL, being managed by Transnational Corporation (Transcorp), may close shop by September, former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NITEL, Engineer Ahmad A. Nahuche, has said. Engineer Nahuche who resigned last Wednesday spoke to Daily Trust in an exclusive interview in Abuja at the weekend. But Transcorp spokesman, Mr. Adedayo Ojo, yesterday brushed off Nahuche’s statement, describing it as: "The opinion of an individual whom Transcorp would not like to join issues with on the pages of a newspaper." Ojo told Daily Trust in a phone chat that: "The decision to run NITEL is a board decision not that of an individual. You would recall that the Federal Government and the Transcorp have said that they would do everything possible to ensure that NITEL bounces back." Asked if Transcorp has the financial wherewithal to run NITEL, Ojo asked: How do I confirm what you said he said? Until it is published in the papers then we can react." According to Engineer Nahuche: "If they (Transcorp) continue like this, I don’t think in the next six months NITEL will be anywhere in the telecommunications map of Nigeria. I suggest if they (government) want to sell it, they should sell it to telecommunications companies that have the financial muscle. This is better, but I am not convinced that Transcorp can do it." He said NITEL may collapse within the next six months if Transcorp continues to manage it. He said: "Yes, if nothing is done, the entire network will be down in the next six-months." He said Transcorp is incapable of managing the company, adding that there was a quick need to get serious investors that will put money into it. "What we are saying is that Transcorp does not have the financial muscle to move NITEL ahead. All what we require is money to move this company so that we can start making money. But Transcorp does not have that capacity because several times, we would prepare business plans. We would prepare this and that but they cannot bring the money. There is no money coming from them," he said. He added: "What I am saying is that you have to invest money to make money. We have a CDMA wireless system of around 1.2 million lines capacity. It is the biggest CDMA network in Nigeria. All what we require is to buy handsets, to buy sim cards, to buy recharge cards and then money for adverts. "This will translate into about N1 billion. And because of this N1 billion, you cannot launch the service. And if you have 1.2 million subscribers and let’s say 600,000 active subscribers and they are making N2, 000 a month. That will translate into around N1.2 billion a month. I have seen no reason why the owners of the company cannot come up with the N1 billion so that you raise this thing and start making money. This system has been lying for the last two years and not generating any revenue because of these constraints. This is one aspect of it. "The second aspect is that we have the biggest backbone of networks in Nigeria. It is a fibre optic backbone. From Lagos to Benin, Benin to Abuja through Lokoja. Also Benin to Enugu through Onitsha and then from Enugu to Port Harcourt, and from Enugu to Abuja through Lafia and Keffi. "But unfortunately, they are in a state of obsolescence and disrepair. What we are saying is that all what we require to bring this back to service is around N500 million. By leasing the capacity, this system can generate over N1 billion, yet, the money is not coming. Along the line, we have also incurred debts with other operators. And they disconnected NITEL from their networks. If you look at it, the total telephone lines in Nigeria is around 40 million. NITEL has only about half a million. And this half a million cannot make calls to 39.5million subscribers. How can NITEL make money?" |

@Napoleon, To start with this is an open but closed identity forum.I did not in anyway insult you, neither did I shake you above the elbow.I simply and jokingly commented that your post was short on the occassion. You called me cheeky and felt you deserved an apology.Which I gave to you.In your stride you ignored the apology and I realised I should have even bothered.People crack jokes on this forum daily and they are not in anyway directed to people but the postings they represent. There are many people making posts here and some are multi-millionaires,some are starters, some are older than my father and some are younger than me.How on earth are we supposed to know who is an elder and should not be joked with? I think it is best we divide the forum to Elders,Startes,Youngsters and Children and let everyone fit into a particular class. As long as you join a public forum you should expect to see issues like this.Your posts have been insightful but just the same way Pumping,Aktopgun,Easimoni,Wendy and all the others have also contributed insightful posts. You will see that diverse issues are discussed here and people also joke on this forum.By the way how do you know my first child was not born in 1940?It is impossible to know.So I myself can be accusing you of shaking me above the elbow. I received many private mails from people asking me to ignore your post asking for an apology, but I still went ahead and did so!! |

pumping777:The day you sell your Fidelity cashcraft will take their 1 million naira from you.The only way out is to deal with it now and deal with it aggressively. |
Cashcraft is one way traffic.Once they make a mistake on your account,it can take forever to rectify it.You can ask me,I am still trying to rectify an error done last week. They bought shares I didn't beg them to buy, sold them at a lose, charged me commission and to make matters worse I realised they put me in the red running into some millions.I didn't ask them.Whenever you speak to them na sorry dem go talk,Sorry no action.I spoke to someone who had a problem with them and he advised me to write to SEC with all the etails and copy Cashcraft. They respond faster that way. |
There is a limit to what those swines at cashcraft can act on my behalf and the agreement I signed with them is to trade to my strict instructions.I have made up my mind,if SEC be SEC let us see how they protect small investors like me,cos my petition is on the way. I heard someone say the NSE is not very different from pyramid schemes.A market that basically has no regulatory body(imagine SEC probing AP but NSE still accepting their application for PO) will sooner than later collapse before our very eyes. All it takes is one major scandal and that is it. |
The other day I complained of cashcraft.I have succeeded in moving out most of my money from cashcraft.Today for the sake of checking I logged on and what did I see , 50,000 naira in red.I called them up and they said they will look into it.I tire for them.I have made up my mind,na SEC get me and them. Cashcraft are thieves, idiots, armed robbers and bastards. This is deeply from my heart! |
New African billionaires arrive Mr Dangote is both wealthy and politically powerful Africa has two new billionaires on the block, both of whom are black. But Africa's richest men, according to the Forbes rich list, remain two white South Africans who inherited their wealth. They have now been joined by a Nigerian industrialist who seems to be in every industry going and a black South African mine magnate. But with only four entries on the list Africa remains the continent with the fewest mega-rich citizens. New entrant Aliko Dangote is Nigerian and has built a $3.3bn fortune from a loan from his uncle. In a little over 25 years, Mr Dangote has built an empire that includes the number one sugar production company in the country, a cement factory and a virtual monopoly on the production of pasta in Nigeria. His company bought two refineries in the last days of the regime of Olusegun Obasanjo, but the sale was cancelled by the new president Umaru Yar'Adua, after allegations that due process was not followed. Patrice Motsepe is a lawyer by training The second newcomer is South African Patrice Motsepe. The lawyer who bought several unprofitable gold mines and turned them round, now has a fortune of $2.4bn. Born in the township of Soweto, he moved from being the first black partner at Bowman Gilfillan law firm in Johannesburg to running a mining contract firm after Apartheid collapsed. His African Rainbow Minerals now has anual sales of $875 million. Forbes says Mr Motsepe took full advantage of the Black Economic Empowerment laws that require mining firms to be over a quarter black-owned. Two white South Africans remain on the list: Nicky Oppenheimer and family own De Beers and are worth $5.7bn. Johann Rupert and his family head Swiss luxury goods group Richemont. This includes the Cartier label and their fortune has dipped to $3.8bn. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7281637.stm |

An old man was sitting on a bench at the mall. A young man walked up to the bench and sat down. He had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, blue, and yellow. The old man just stared. Every time the young man looked, the old man was staring. The young man finally said sarcastically, "What's the matter old-timer? Never done anything wild in your life?" Without batting an eye, the old man replied, "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son." |
