Good evening All. Please I got a mail from WES stating that my transcript verification has been sent to the institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria ( for my ATS evaluation) both electronically and via postal mail. I got the mail from WES like 3 weeks ago. I reached out to the institute and they confirmed that they have not received any verification from WES. Please advice on what to do next guys. Thanks
This same thing happened to me and had to wait 7 weeks for WES to resend the transcript verification request. The thing is WES usually sends their verification requests to the professional arm of ICAN and not the ATS arm. So the professional arm is usually expected to forward the verification request to the ATS arm for response when received. But due to the high volume of requests received, they usually miss forwarding some of them to ATS. If you can reach out to the transcript unit of the professional arm, they would check for it and forward to the ats arm for treatment. If you are in lagos, pay them a visit

bro, I juts had to accept the reality of things o, it wasn’t looking like scores were going to come down below the 470 threshold, and rather than to just keeping waiting till I loose the advantage of age, i just had to summon the courage like that but it wasn’t an easy decision sha, after celebrating, ielts success, only for me to realize I will be writing it again. But I think you should chill bro. There might juts be a silver lining in this covid-19 thing. Scores might juts drop in the next draw, as there is no IELTS or WES anymore for the foreseeable future. This will Favour pple already in the pool. Scores would likely fall below 468.

Been on 468, and since CRS scores have not dropped to this range since October, decided to give it another try. Now I have LRWS- 8,9,7.5,7.5. Now on 471. Look forward to the next draw

Hi Guys, I am an ICAN chartered accountant with AAT as well. So I already used my AAT to get the score for two or more certificates from WES . I am thinking of writing the Strategic Case Study course in CIMA to get fully CIMA qualified. I am trying to find out if there are additional benefits to this. I know about the MRA in place between CIMA with CPA Canada, but do i get the points awarded for a masters degree if the CIMA qualification is assessed by WES?. I think ACCA holders have this privilege. Apart from exposure to job opportunities, I also heard that CPA Canada can be used to claim the points for Canadian education, is this true?

As a MGT Trainee, you will probably be paid N150K or so.....the chances of you getting a permanent job thereafter is 50:50 becos its a mgt training programme and you could be booted out at the end or before the end of the programme. The programme, while i was there, was a six months programme, maybe their might have changed the tenure....you have several assignments which involves loads of travelling, training and making presentations just like the the Apprentice.
You can make some small 'change' from the travels vis allowances, but the salary is based on how much you can negotiate. I wont advice you leave what you are doing except its a one-man show!
is this salary also applicable to GAP that requires professional accounting certification like ACA or ACCA and how long ago did you attend their mgt trainee course . Make I know if I go siddon jeje where I dey o. Cos that salary is a farcry from my current earnings. So much for oil company

Okay guys, the AC was structured into three parts
Group Presentation
Role Play
Individual Presentation

The group presentation was from a group of 8. You are required to read a case study from a fictious company and answer questions on it based on the evidence you have and the department you are representing. Everyone had a piece of information with him/ her.

The Role play involves you taking up an assignment as a new employee and presenting it to your managing director which of several alternative approaches you will recommend to and why ( backing it up with facts). To enable him make an investment decision.

The third stage which is the individual presentation involves aan article about the same company question. You are to read and gather evidences through some data provided why you think a decision should be made against another .

It was a very lengthy exercise lasted for about 8 hrs so its serious business also exhausting.
The key is to listen to instructions and just try your best and pray. There is really nothing else you can do and there is no room for advance preparation cos you cannot predict how it will turn out. It was a breath taking experience one in which I wnt be forgetting anytime soon. As it seems BAT intends to take only one person per role so its a very competitive process o. I wish all of us goodluck and may the best man win. May God bless our hustle

Monday 22nd, it was originally slated for 25th but I rescheduled and from the looks of things the AC is mixed for both Finance and Manufacturing trainees and it will hold from Monday 22nd - 25th . This is what I figured from the information gathered. Might be wrong though. We shall all make it by Gods grace .

were u sent a mail similar to d one below before u were called?

Dear Candidate.

Many thanks for taking the time to go through the online assessments and for a few of you who have talked to us about your interest in the Management Trainee - Manufacturing opportunity.

We have now completed our shortlist of candidates who will be called for the next stage (Face to Face Interview). As a business, we have some unique challenges and, therefore, some pretty unique requirements. So we consider a range of factors, score criteria, including skills and expertise.

If you have met these expectations, we will over the next 2 weeks be inviting you to our office. We therefore ask that you exercise patience as we go through this in batches.

If you do not get called within 3 weeks, we’re sorry to say we won’t be taking your application further on this occasion. While your skills and background are impressive, there were other applications which were closer to what we’re looking for.

It’s a pity to miss out, but we wish you every success in your search for the right job. We’re delighted you’ve shown an interest in British American Tobacco. Perhaps we’ll hear from you again in the future.

With best wishes,

The British American Tobacco Recruitment Team

Guys, evening o,

So lastweek tuesday, i received a call around 10am in the morning. This was just a few minutes after receiving the initial e-mail from innocent. The HR person was asking me to come for an interview at their office in Lagos on friday. I currently stay in Abuja and i didnt have an excuse to give them at work yet so i wanted to buy more time for myself. So i asked if i could reschedule till this week wednesday and the HR lady mentioned that they would have finished conducting interview by then shocked. So i just had to go with the original time alloted to me. Naso i just rough am go there.

Dont intend to burst any ones bubble o, just thought you all should know my plight especially the hopefulls. Y'all should just keep praying towards it sha

Regards,
