iamoyindamola:I don't think so. I have seen a road done like this before where I used to live in the past ; the asphalt on that road washed off as soon as the rains started heavily. That it has drainage doesn't matter. You say it's not a busy road, just wait till there's traffic on the express and people start passing the street as shortcut to bypass traffic. Even roads inside estates get busy when people try to bypass express traffic. |
CrystalTiger:The decision-making ability of the people currently in power is really really questionable. I know they will most likely come up with argument that this 15% import tariff is aimed at encouraging local refining and giving advantage to local production over importation, but that can only make sense when we have enough local refining ability and some marketers still decide to import. As it stands Dangote refinery still struggles to cater for 40% of our petroleum consumption and NNPC refineries are still shut down. That means we still import at least 60% of the refined petroleum products we consume. It's obvious the importation cost will jump up, and it will reflect in the pump price very soon. Even if Dangote decides to keep his own price where it is, how many people can realistically have access to his products? |
I am not an engineer and know nothing about construction, but I can predict this road will not last one year .
|
Why is nobody talking about the 15% import Tariff on petroleum products that was recently approved by Tinubu ? Abi una no know say fuel go soon cost ? And when fuel price goes up, price of every other thing follows . As of today we consume 60% imported PMS and 40% locally refined PMS ; that means we don’t have enough local refining capacity . Yet, FG has placed 15% tariff/tax on imported PMS . I know this is the hand of Dangote in a bid to push for the monopoly he has always wanted . I just hope these people will not use their hand to scatter this country with more and more hardship they keep inflicting on the masses . PS: The Tariff implementation is with immediate effect .

raumdeuter:Of course we had our own high handed way of governance ; but also the colonialists didn't bring with them.the brand of democracy practise in the west when they came to here. |
iamoyindamola:They will look away 😂 Imagine having to reduce the list of 175 convicts to 34. It means a whopping 141 criminals (including drug dealers and illegal miners) would've walked free just like that if we all had kept quite or we were all singing "Bola on your mandate we shall stand " ...😲 How can anybody trust the judgement of such man as president? |
Segedinho:Good thing they swallowed their pride and did the right thing eventually. Though they should've changed Maryam Sanda's sentence to life imprisonment instead of 12 years. But then, if they had gone ahead to release her citing her father-in-law's press conference saying he approved her release, there's nothing we will do. (And some people will still defend it) |
popizaino:This is a funny opinion ![]() Democracy is not supposed to work this way na, you shouldn't be barring opponents because you feel you are the only one competent to rule or because you want to help them save their money ![]() Answer this: Why will the opposition want to cause mayhem if the president is doing well and majority of the people love him? Shouldn't the opposition be scared the people who love the president dearly will stand down against any mayhem they want to cause? |
raumdeuter:It's not an excuse, but my personal observation from the general behavior of African leaders. Yes, I understand most civilizations were monarchical at one point or the other, but you will agree with me that most western nations were weaned of monarchy much longer than African countries. In fact, most of there were already practicing western style of democracy while we were still fighting each other with Spears, bows and arrows. I believe the gap between when we were introduced to western form of democracy and when the west has been practicing theirs plays a part in how the African man practices democracy. Also, I think the aftereffects of Colonialism turned some African leaders to dictators worse than the colonial masters. Most young Africans who turned out to be our leaders saw how the colonial masters ruled us with fiat. The governor generals jailed people anyhow, forcefully collected taxes on behalf of their home country and even forcefully conscripted Africans into their armies to fight on their side in the first and second world wars. I think some of these absolute uses of power messed the head of some of our leaders and shaped what our democracy became before the years of military and back to the faux democracy we have today. This may sound like ramblings to most people, but I think African leaders didn't become what that became today as a result of one single factor. |
Al Nassr fan say they are tired of waSIUU ![]()
“He can't score, he can't dribble, he can't pass. All he does is siuuu, I'm tired" 😂😂😂 |
AirBere:He think say 100 Siuuuu! fit cancel one trophy ni 😂😂😂 |
Kilishihunter:The GOAT has earned the eternal right to throw sub. He first did the talking on the pitch while other one was always capping. Now is the time for talks. |
Silentgroper:Sometimes back kor, sometimes front ni. No go find somewhere siddon cry with Ur fake goat 😂
|
Is that why we are here? Before waSIU come down, Benzema don score. 😂
|
andrewbaba44:We look forward to seeing him try ![]() |
Silentgroper:I won't be answering foolish question that google can provide easy answers to. |
a4turitoroman:I don't think it is about being cussed, I think it's the concept of western democracy that is alien to most African societies. You know how most African societies in the past had kings who ruled their subjects with iron hands. Most kings were supreme leaders who do as they please ruling over their kingdoms and silencing dissenting voices. This trait seems to always rear its ugly head in modern day African leaders who see leadership role as position where they are expected to stand their ground, rule with a strong hand, silent dissenting voices and lord over their people. Most African leaders rarely see leadership role as a position which you occupy to "serve" the people. You know unlike their western counterparts who will resign at the slightest scandal or take responsibility at the slightest instance of failure of leadership on their part; African leaders non really send you. Even when media shout and shout, they will claim it is opposition media that is amplifying minor issues that happen almost everywhere. |
So nobody to update us waSIU lost yet another trophy in the Camel league?
|
popizaino:If people love him as he claimed, why did he bar the major opposition from contesting in the election? And why did the election have 50% voters turnout? Is it that people gave up and resigned to their fate unlike the Cameroonians? While some Ivorians may think Ouattara is doing well, some will not. It's just the same way some Francophone side of Cameroun think Biya is the way , the truth and the light; the Anglophone side thinks otherwise. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Yeah, I read their report; they claimed he has fled the country already. If the report is untrue, we should hear from Sylva anytime soon debunking the news and showing proof of life in Nigeria as a free man. Let's wait and see how everything unfolds. Personally, I have a feeling that once all alleged coup plotters are rounded up the government will make an official announcement and begin their trial in court. |
afrodoc2:😂😂😂 Everybody get who dem put for mind as dem dey watch their team meskafor ![]() |
izzou:Na politicians u dey take play like this? Was Lauretta Onochie not an APC member who worked with Buhari from day one to the final day? Today she's plotting with ADC to remove Tinubu their APC party leader from office as president of the country. That may also be the case for Sylva who worked with Buhari but wants Tinubu another party person out. |
Ibime:A president that is allagedly doing well but had to barr major opposition leaders from contesting? I thought elections were supposed to be popularity contest where the people are allowed to select whom they perceive to be the best for them. It's just like Tinubu barring the major opposition Leadera from contesting against him, have his support base vote massively and then claim he won reelection because of his "reforms" that have yielded positive results. No wonder there was just 50% voters turn out. Anybody wey Wan stan Ouattara should do so, but they shouldn't make it seem like the Camerounians are docile for reelecting Biya abeg.

Man who cried out that his shop was sealed and about to be forfeited by Sharia court of appeal despite being a Christian has now recovered his shop.
Sometimes if pays to make noise about your predicament so you don't die in silence. |
popizaino:How do you know he's not showing workings? Whatever you see in Ivory Coast that makes u think an 83 old leader is doing well, any Camerounian can see same in his country and tell us same na. Afterall both countries are officially prsctising Gerontocracy 🤷♂️
|
iamoyindamola:Even VAR go dey play bet sef |
popizaino:😂😂😂 Ouattara is the will of the Ivoriens but Camerounians should revolt and Biya should be stopped by all means? As how na? |
Betting scandal rocks Turkish league. Out of 571 registered referees registered in professional lauages in Turkey, 371 of them have sports bet account. 😲

https://www.nairaland.com/8549177/570-dangote-trucks-moving-petrol The people that bought properties along Lekki-Epe expressway because of " It is close to Dangote Refinery " are about to see shege that comes with the closeness of their property to Dangote Refinery. Traffic go begin choke for that axis now |
Spy360:Nobody says you shouldn't have a family home. All I'm saying is whatever benefits the male child can get from your ownership of the property, your female children should enjoy same except they decide they don't want to. |
