Christian genocide has been systematically ongoing for a long time now. The crux of the matter is, whenever a whole community is put to the sword and displaced, who are the resettlers? That should give you an indication if this is systemic or not. It’s one community at a time for a long time now. You only have a modicum of safety if you’re living in the city metropolis but even that needs only a tinder to ignite the spark of violence

Bandits are not wholly idealogically driven. There’s an economic component to it as they are killing and kidnapping all faiths but I’m yet to hear of whole predominantly muslim communities wiped out.
What most people saying "there's no Christian genocide in Nigeria " are trying to do is muddle the the waters by equating the recent bandiry issued in Sokoto, Niger, Kaduna and Zamafa states with the age long and continuous genocidal attacks in Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Borno and Bauchi states.

What they don't know is gba by doing that, gbey are drowning the voices of the victims of the genocide and further enabling the fundamentalist carrying out the dastardly act.

Like you posited here, the perpetrators are doing it one community at a time. I've spoken to someone from Plataeu state before now and what he said about the whole thing is not different from what you've said.

This is certainly not a coincidence.
If the police are saying those who participated in the protest broke the law by disobeying court order prohibiting the protest , then they should've arrested Sowore the convener.

Let's assume they couldn't arrest him on the protest ground, they could've arrested him when he went to visit the lawyer and others arrested.

Anyways, na dem and Sowore know the game dem dey play.

The annoying thing is how the educated elite will downplay some of these issues and trying to gaslight you instead of speaking against the evil acts/support government to put in measures to stop the evil.

The foot soldiers draw inspiration from this conspiracy of silence & hypocritical bending of mouth by the educated elites.

We should do away with all the evidences of northerners who have come on social media to share their plight too abi? Is the man in the video burying his church members also a Lagosian who only spent one year of his life in the north?

Watch the video again and tell us his experience is not true. Shebi Monerozi's experience is S.I unit of all Christian northerners 'experience na. undecided

Go under the man's post and comment. He asked a pertinent question at the burial site; "Nigerian government came out openly and deny any Christian Genocide......Do you see any Muslim here?"

The fact that the man made a video to raise an alarm before the incident; the Nigerian military on its social media called it a false alarm, only for the attack to happen and he ends up burying his members. Go and tell us the number of Muslims killed in that attack make we know na.

I am a Christian and living in the North. Currently I am at work in a Muslim dominated area. I will not join anyone trying to bring tension to an already volatile situation by saying Christian genocide.
It's ur choice to speak or not to speak about what is happening probably because neither u nor ur loved ones have been victims.

However, u can't shut down people who have either been victims or have their families snatched away from them by religious killers. The Sultan also doesn't have a right to shut them down because his line of sight and authority doesn't extend beyond Sokoto.

That Pastor burying his members has a right to say things the way he sees them without u or anybody trivializing his experience.

You just need to have a one-on-one discussion with a Christian from Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Borno, Benue state and nothern minority persons in their 30's and above to hear the kind horror dem don survive.

I was listening to radio program I think last week or upper week and one caller made a chilling confession. Listen to the video below, the caller's cousin brother was killed by Islamic fundamentalists who were going after Christians because CAN opposed Sharia law in Kaduna state in the early 2000's. He got a gun and went after the assailants to exert revenge thereby killing his Muslim friend in retaliation.

The same Borno BH started ba. BH has killed more Muslims than Christians.

Anybody can say anything. The Muslim guy displaced can equally cry Muslim genocide.

The reality here is different, forget all these one sided claim.
I should ignore the man standing beside his members' graves and believe the Sultan that has no skin in the game?

You call it one-sided claim, but you forget most western countries have missionaries up north where they see some of these things happen up close and personal. How do you think some of the reports about the average number of deaths are computed? Is it not from the eyewitness account of some of these missionaries?

If you are concerned about the genuineness of US sudden interest in the genocide that has been going on for long in the north, that is a very valid concern. However, downplaying it and making it seem the victims are crying wolf where there's none is unfair and irresponsible.

What the government should be doing is acknowledging the concern and putting up measures to put a stop to it going forward. They should be reassuring the victims, stakeholders and international communities that they are on top of the situation and things will take a good turn going forward.

You don't even know what's happening here but just pick news and run with the ones you like.

Muslims are running from their communities also, from Zamfara to Borno to Birnin Gwari. They are being displaced. They can't even farm.

There's no Christian genocide here. Those guys don't care.
The joke is on you.

My close seat mate in the office is Christian Borno man and just yesterday he was narrating how they've survived years of systemic ethnic and religious cleansing which is downplayed in the media.

Notice how I've not put mouth in the whole genocide talks until recently that I heard from someone who has truly experience what it felt like?

If a pastor standing beside the grave of his members asking pertinent questions like " They said they are killing Muslims, where are the Muslims here now? " doesn't make see the picture, I wonder what will.

I hope you watched the video in that Twitter link. I hope you have a video from an Islamic cleric asking similar questions.

Most of their elites over there don't like to speak truth to power for fear of the masses turning against them.

They fear mob action, so even if they know something is genuinely wrong they will rather bend mouth or not say anything about it for fear of what the mob can unleash

....and how about the mosque attacked by bandits in Malumfashi, Katsina stated that killed so many worshippers! Should they claim Muslim genocide too.

I think there was a mosque attack too in Kano last year or so

They are attacking both Christians and Muslims. They don't care about your religion.
The fact that u as as a northerner had to start guessing about the Muslims allagedly killed and when it did happen actually shows u are trying to make an ocassional thingy become regular for reasons best known to You.

Me as a southerner can give u several instances when I've read reports online of how Christian communities have been brutally attacked or almost entirely wiped out in the north central/middle belt, southern kaduna, borno and other places in the north where they have majority non Muslims.

If the Christians are saying they are being systematically wiped out while their assailants throw a few Muslim killings in the mix, then that is their truth. Whatever nonsense the Sultan or his supporters say doesn't invalidate their truth.

Do u even know what it means for a genocide discussion to be a front burner issue and within a week of that discussion a Christian community suffers fatal attack which left tens of people dead?

That man in the video is literally making a video from the grave dug to bury his church members massacred by genocidal Fulanis but u would rather have me believe the word of a Muslim fulani sulatn trvializing the matter?

The good thing is this is not a Buhari vs the people matter, people with functioning brains can draw inference for themselves without having to be swayed by propaganda of the government.

I didn't mean to equate both countries or citizens directly . I mean both countries exhibit similar systemic flaws; weak institutions, policy missteps, tribalism, and toleration of corruption, basically I'm just equating the failures.

With the possibilities on paper, it’s a shameful underperformance.
With the resources India has, it’s nothing short of scandalous, and shameful that so much promise remains unrealized, just like Nigeria. Bigger map, same mess.
Calling it a bigger Nigeria is not an insult under these circumstances
.
To start with, you don't even know anything about the country you are trying to run down.

India has been the fastest growing major economy in the world for the last ten years, with the latest data from the International Monetary Fund or IMF showing a staggering 105 per cent growth in the last decade.

According to the IMF, India's GDP currently stands at $4.3 trillion. It was $2.1 trillion in 2015, when Narendra Modi's first term as prime minister was less than a year in office. Since then, India has more than doubled its economy in terms of Gross Domestic Product or GDP.

India is on the cusp of overtaking Japan as the fourth-largest economy in the world. Japan's GDP currently stand at $4.4 trillion and India is poised to go past that mark by the third quarter of 2025.

All those issues which u listed up there bedeviled them in the past, but they have since moved past those issues. They are now being recognized for the positives in their economy rather than the negatives you have been pushing. Try to unlearn and relearn abeg!

You dey troll country whose economy growth rate has outperformed USA,China, Germany , France and UK in the past 10 years? That is the country you claim has shameful underperformance and in a bigger mess than Nigeria? grin grin grin

The point has always been that STEM and Huminities/Business/Finance are equally important to a nation's development.

I mentioned STEM and also mentioned how their nationals repatraite funds from abroad back to their economy. Their nationals who own business abroad make sure to source for raw materials from India first before any other source. They can have STEM and not develop if they don't handle the business side of things well and it is the non-STEM professionals that handle that side of business.
