CaptainStephen: ![]() Just dey play! The bold is not a flex like you want to see it to be. Nigeria's Super eagles is not Morocco, Ivory Coast or Egyptian National teams that are all performing well at the moment and can slug it out with other decent teams from Europe or South America o. The play off is a do or die for all the teams that will participating, not just opportunity for Nigerian players to rack up caps. If they keep up with the performance level they displayed in the last few matches we saw, Super Eagles may not be going to the world cup. We will be playing Gabon that has Aubameyang that may punish us the moment we slack going by how he's been in form of recent times. |
AirBere:It is well. |
andrewbaba44:Was Iwobi not seeing game time at Arsenal,Everton and Fulham and still opting to play for Nigeria? Some of us have been watching Iwobi for a long time and we haven't seen him improve. We don't hate him, we just think Nigeria deserves better. |
izzou:I know VI and Lekki Axis have always used white colored buses for a long time now and that they arrest yellow and black buses that stray beyond Obalende/CMS axis. What I don't know is when they started adopting the blue and white color with red, green and yellow stripes by the side. Some of the buses/minibuses Gbaja bought for empowerment in Surulere carry that color. Also been seeing buses with that color in Oshodi and VI axis too. Most of the buses wearing that color are new vehicles, so I was wondering maybe it's Lagos state government ministry of transport that mandated them to pain their buses in the new color that has a semblance with BRT's colors. |
Why is it that almost everyone in APC today suddenly start to champions a course they once stood against? 🤷♂️
|
Has Lagos state government changed the official commercial vehicle color from the traditional yellow with black stripes to blue + white with yellow, green and blue stripes without us knowing? Recently I noticed most new commercial vehicles plying Lagos island wear the aforementioned new colors. Then recently I started noticing them on the mainland too. The colors are almost same with the colors of BRT. Are they phasing the yellow buses out already? cc: Izzou, GloriousGbola |
larride:Nigerians dey get confidence sha. ![]() See as u just look every potential opponent less and assume we will beat any of them. |
Hunger bad Sha. I saw the news yesteeday evening saying Maryam Sandra's father-in-law forgives her and approved her release/pardon. I was like WTF? 🤷♂️ https://www.nairaland.com/8539559/bilyaminus-father-ahmed-bello-isa The family had earlier released a press release condemning her release by the FG and express their bitterness about the whole presidential pardon thingy. Now it's being revealed that the father wasn't in the late son's life and only showed up when his properties were about to be shared. The same father is one who negotiated with the in-laws and organize a joint press conference to give the his support to the presidential pardon. Hunger no be good thing at all; even from the picture u can tell.

raumdeuter:Nwaneri has not committed. See there are emerging talents that can be scouted and given a chance rather than sticking with the regulars who have already reached their peak which is average like Iwobi. But if Una say make we lockup with Iwobi, no wam! I shall be there! |
raumdeuter:Dem don scout them first? It's only when they scout they can confirm whether no player of Nigerian descent plays in midfield. |
CrystalTiger:I don't think it is a stupid policy. In fact most people who are in their 60's and 70's now confirmed Mathematics wasn't compulsory during their time and things worked fine for them. Most of the great authors that have gone to put Nigerian name on the world map didn't have to worry about passing mathematics during their own time. A did a little ChatGpt prompt and the result revealed that most universities in the UK do not require a pass in mathematics to study art courses like Fine Art, History, creative writing, etc. |
Leyqute:What reason do I have to hate him ? 🤷♂️ That guy is just an average player and almost everyone knows it. Even you also confirm that by saying "maybe he's not at the level we want him to be ".😂. That's just a mild way of admitting we deserve something better. I'm not picking on him, I already mentioned it consistently that our entire midfield is trash and that reflects in how progress the ball from the middle to the forward line. I'm not saying Iwobi is Bakayoko level I'm saying the fact that Nigeria with Iwobi at the head of creativity is struggling against minnows; we will definitely be owned if we play against more decent teams. I know they don't play the same position, but would u see Partey of Ghana and say he's average? Of course not, but we Nigerians know Iwobi is average just that we don't like to admit it to ourselves. |
semid4lyfe:I understand you but like I mentioned up there in my response to iamoyindamola, the Ghanaians have not been blessed in the striker department like Nigeria . They do not have the luxury of placing their pride above a genuine need . They thought Inaki Williams was going to be their solution but he’s proven to be the opposite . Those Abedi Pele’s boys have reached “senior men “ stage in national team and would not necessarily guarantee them goals in an elite competition like the World Cup . Nketiah would not sudeenly declare for Ghana if their FA have not been mounting pressure till date. |
iamoyindamola:The answer is "OPTIONS". The players had options and were weighing them. The Ghanaian FA didn't have much options hence why they kept on disturbing them. So when the players ran out of options, they chose the remaining option. It's that simple. Like you rightly said, the Ghanians have not been blessed in the striker department like Nigeria where we always have players like Osimehn, Arokodare, etc that are actually quality and we don't need to beg to don the national colours. |
Spy360:Not to get myself involved in ur argument with Raumdeuter o, but this waste managment you mentioned caught my attention. It's been 2 weeks and some days now since LAWMA/PSP came to collect our waste. Almost everyone's bin is filled to the brim and those PSP guys are nowhere to be found. The original agreement is for them to collect waste on weekly basis from our residences. We do not default in our payment obligation on a monthly basis, but every now and then they have made it a point of duty to default in the timing for waste collection. The frustrating thing is that most of the PSP operators are APC stalwarts so even if u report them, the report no dey achieve anything. |
iamoyindamola:If the FIFA play off vs Bolivia will not happen in Bolivia , then just maybe we have a chance. Most South Americans don't even like playing in Bolivia. |
Griffon:Where will these play offs happen ? I hope we are not playing teams like Bolivia in their country o. Bolivia Dey beat teams like Brazil , Chile , Colombia for their home ground o. Maybe it’s due to their weather condition , I don’t know but to pull a win away at Bolivia will require our players playing better than what I’ve been seeing in the past 3 to 4 matches . The play offs give a vibe of starting the World Cup before the World Cup starts proper |
Ibime:Iwobi has always been average right from his days at Arsenal ; that Nigeria chose to build their midfield play around him doesn’t change that fact . The earlier we follow the Morocco route of scouting for players of Nigerian descent across Europe and convincing them to play for the national team , the better for us. If we take that route you would be surprised there are players out there who are more talented than Iwobi . I don’t even need to hate watch to see his inadequacies every match he plays both in the EPL and in Nigerian colours . The boy is just not good enough . |
larride:I’m not interested in being politically correct here . The super eagles I watched in the last few matches will struggle against any average team and we will be dumped out of any serious competition if we face serious teams not named Lesotho, Benin or Rwanda . If they choose to stick with him, no wahala we will see how it will all end . |
CrystalTiger:Monday strikes me as a very loyal guy ; loyal to the core. He's the kind of guy that will ride or die with you because of just one favor you have done to him in the past no matter how small the favor is. I feel he's doing all of these pro-Tinubu stuff because of the massive rigging that was done on his behalf to clinch the governorship seat. He's still in shock at the reality of levels APC pulled to get him that governorship seat despite the numerous bag and baggages he was carrying as a candidate. The guy had everything going wrong for him in the run-off to the election ; the only thing really working for him was him being APC flag bearer. Yet, somehow he manages to win in an election that was fraught with irregularities and all the courts of the land found a way to uphold the election. It beats his imagination that despite Asue Ighodalo being a practicing lawyer who will definitely have friends in the judiciary, he(Monday) still managed to win him at all the levels of the courts . Omo, e reach make Monday paint Edo state house of assembly and government house with Tinubu cap logo o 😂 |
semid4lyfe:Nketiah suits their playing style more than Inaki Williams or any other player they are parading in their attacking line. Nketiah complements players like Kudus and Semenyo upfront. If they play any top quality team, thry will need that trio to make a difference for them. If Nketiah is declaring now, it definitely because someone on the side of Ghana FA had been disturbing and pressuring him to declare for his motherland. I guess the world cup qualification just made the decision easy for him |
Theflint1:Let them keep him; when we jam better footballing nation in the play off Una go believe. |
Theflint1:4 wins against which teams? Lesotho, Benin, Rwanda and which other country that is ranked low by FIFA àbí? Make Una dey gas untop team and coach struggling to beat minnows. |
larride:When it's not like NFF bought Ndidi and Iwobi for humongous amount like Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea and can't be dropped. If they want to get the best out of top quality players like Ola Aina, Osimehn and Lookman they better find something to do about the average Iwobi and washed Ndidi |
larride:I will be here when we will unanimously agree Chelle na pant. Make we qualify fess. |
raumdeuter:U see the kind zero midfield game he dey play and also Lookman & Moses Simon playing the same wing at the same time without any winger manning the right wing..... Is that what we will go to play at the world cup? I see that guy as mediocre and I know he won't hesitate to prove me right when the time comes. |
raumdeuter:That still doesn't mean he shouldn't be sacked. He won't take us anywhere with the way his team his set up. |
Who saw that rocket penalty from Algeria? That's how u play a penalty when a keeper is busy doing antics |
raumdeuter:We should sack him and sign good foreign coach abeg. This guy is like grade D in rating going by the matches he's handled that I've watched. Nothing concern me with dem Eguavon, Finidi and Co; not their fan |
Ibime:What if dem bring Ekong in and he now do own Goal? 😂 |
Onyeka the tank! ✊ |
Onyeka makes it 4-0 😂😂😂 |
