I support this lady 💯
She renovated the house she rented from the shittty condition she met it only for the landlord/caretaker to evict after giving the apartment a complete facelift . She gave them aura for aura by destroying most of the improvements she did to the apartment making sure the landlord does not profit from her loss by renting the place out to someone else at a ridiculously higher price courtesy of her improvements |

Iamoyindamola Obasa has withdrawn his son from the LGA chairmanship race https://www.nairaland.com/8415771/lg-election-why-obasa-withdrew I was in Agege last week and saw the guy’s poster almost everywhere . Omo, sycophancy na serious issue for this country o |
Spy360:No ! Some of us have values and won’t fall For any yeye alignment lamba |
Spy360:💯 |
Spy360:Speak for urself o. Any candidate Elrufai supports will not get my vote/support. |
diggz:Anybody taking Elrufai serious should not be taken serious. The same Elrufai wey dey hawk Tinubu for head like gala. Someone that was praising the ingenuity of the muslim-muslim ticket and boasting about how they have been able to replicate muslim-muslim ticket in Kaduna at the national level. Person wey dey fight amnesty international when they called him out for the genocide happening under his government in Kaduna. It's better this country not to have any leadership at all than to vote for any coalition championed by Elrufai. 🙅♂️ |
diggz:Baba, na only one dem dey gaslight people with so called renewed hope o; offline real people dey go through a lot. That's egbon say he go look for at least 5k buy action bitters and drink all through the 2027 election day. He said he won't go to stress himself to vote for a useless leader who will be living in luxury with his family while he will be asked to keep making sacrifices |
She looks like Odili's carbon copy! |
Online is not real life! I go wash car earlier this morning and the car wash manager was regaling stories of how things were last better under Jonathan. He said he would buy 1 derica of rice for N80, 1 derica of beans for N120, crayfish N20, groundnut oil small measure N100, etc. He said he his wife will cook meal that will serve him and his family for N500. One of the customers who came to wash car was trying to preach Tinubu's prosperity gospel to him.and those APC's "Joy is coming" propaganda to him, egbon car wash manager no gree listen o. Instead, baba just dey lament how things have been increasingly hard since APC took over. He even mentioned how he normally gets rice gift from his customers during Christmas and Eid celebrations in the past. He claimed this last December was the worse in his life cos he didn't see any gift. He said he's not blaming people for being stingy because he actually understands those people who usually gift him are all struggling to adjust to the general hardship. One man carry winners chapel flier to come preach to egbon car wash manager ; egbon vex for the man say all these church people should go and tell their GO's and senior pastors to speak truth to power..... They should tell the leaders that we are suffering . The egbon just dey Para. The egbon concluded that he will never vote in 2027 because he has been scammed for too long. Me I just dey one corner just dey observe and refuse to say anything or join the discussion o. Why? I no dey discuss politics outside nairaland and outside my closest friends' circle. |
Ibime:They are both big thieves who worked under a clueless government where nobody monitors anybody. They worked under a president who would approve funds for his appointees and go to sleep while they plunder the resources of their respective constituencies. Emefiele na thief normally, but don't forget Buhari has always maintained he gave him approval to change the naira notes. He even did a press release on it sef. |
Ibime:Na so. |
Earlier, sources at the NNPCL told Saturday PUNCH that one of the sacked MDs had been with the EFCC for about a week.https://www.nairaland.com/8415364/3-billion-refinery-fraud-80 The refinery fraud is most likely bigger than Emefiele gate. How the master strategist allowed Mele Kyari to use almost 2 years after Emefiele was sacked is still a mystery |
Ellexy:This looks bad. So this is a case of schools trying to make cheese for themselves out of the NELFUND largese. They will collect 120k on behalf of the students when in actual fact the school fees is 55k. I guess that means the students will pay for the extra 65k the school collected on their behalf much later after graduation. I support the ministry of education probing the schools. This one is not on NELFUND Sha |

monerozi5590:There are two wrong parties : 1. The police who arrested the father in place of the son. 2. The state government that ordered the demolition of the building without any court process affirming such order. Nigeria na real jungle where powerful |
I think this idea of demolishing properties linked to people who perpetrated crimes like kidnapping, robbery, etc needs to be abloihsed by state governors. I saw a video of Edo state government demolishing the house of a man. The man who owned the house while being interviewed by the press men said his son actually killed a woman. The son is a 28 year old man who lives in a boys quarter in the man's house. After the man heard the news of his son killing a woman, he went to the police station to report the crime. The police evacuated the corpse and detained the man. The son who perpetuated the crime was later caught and the father released. Now the Edo state government went ahead to demolish the house which the man claimed he built with his house. Now the father and his 4 other children are homeless despite the fact that the police now have the culprit in custody. In what world is it fair to rid the father his property because of the crime his son committed? The man claimed he had taken the son to rehab severally because the son has always been problematic to him.

semid4lyfe:This is where the issue lies. Not all schools will refund students in full sum. In fact, most government owned schools are not designed to pay out students, rather their finance system is only designed to receive funds and not pay out. I remember when I got on the University scholarship program after our 100 level results were out and my CGPA was within the qualifying threshold. The scholarship comes with refund of 100 level school fees and additional sum of money for textbook. The two payments are to come in form of two separate cheques issued to the student by the bursary department of the school. I got one of the cheques in 200level and got the second one in 1st semester 400level ![]() From my experience ehn, I can say Most of the students may not get refund of that school fees before they graduate if care is not taken. There are also chances that some people in the Finance office/bursary department may even run fraud using some of the students' profile to claim their refund without their knowledge. |
Ellexy:Hmmmmm. I guess NELFUND has questions to answer as per the screenshot attached in your email. Although I'm curious at to why this student had to pay out of pocket despite knowing he has applied for the student loan. I |
Just as I thought; the whole misappropriation story is fake news. I just knew the story made no sense after reading it. https://www.nairaland.com/8414269/icpcs-report-mismanaged-stolen-unaccounted
|
Ellexy:I actually listened to radio program where the NELFUND guy came and explain the whole process of the student loan. From what he explained that day, there's absolutely ni way anybody could've diverted any funds. School fees will be paid to the school directly by NELFUND and it will reflect in the students' portal that his tutuon has been paid. The students' stipends/allowance will be paid directly to his bank account. So at what point did the fund get diverted as alleged by ICPC? The ICPC allegations makes absolute no sense based off what I listened to on radio about NELFUND |
larride:I still don't understand the news. I have read it several times and I still don't understand . I thought when the whole NELFUND loan was announced it was said the students' school fees will be paid directly to the school while the students themselves will get their stipends in their account. What changed? How was the funds stolen? |
GloriousGbola:The ban on pure water will never work. Most areas in Lagos people.drink pure water including Lekki axis sef cos their water around those areas are neither drinkable or usable for cooking. Only few people can afford to buy CWAY. In fact, how many CWAY person Wan use dey cook daily? As for supermarkets now charging for polythene bags, I think the idea is to force people to reuse like they do abroad so that we can have less and less of it in circulation. |
iamoyindamola:While ban of takeaway packs and disposable plates may be a step in the right direction, there are a whole lot of other items that block drainaages that are not yet banned. PET bottles of coke and Fanta are still there, nylon of pure water, normal polythene bags for carrying items, etc all block drainaages. Then we have areas in Lagos where the drainage system there are non existent. U will see houses that have been built since the 60's that don't have functional drainaages. Ọmọ! If u Don work for the main Lagos island and vehicles dey carry u pass ìsàlẹ̀ eko wella, u will see sewage trucks (fàgbẹ́ fàgbẹ́) still dey come carry shiiit from people house in the 21st century. Shey na area with those kind houses Wan get functional drainage system? The issue is even if government wants to help them it will lead to a lot of houses being demolished and most of them are not ready to make such sacrifices. |
iamoyindamola:Omo, when I was working at Marina I knew Lagos Island na hell on water when it rains. There was a particular Friday it rained maybe 2021 or 2022, most of the cars parked in Car parks within Marina were floating on water.Come and see how executives rolled their trousers to use leg enter the flood that day. A lot of people abandoned their cars in the office and trekked to the bus stop to take buses home. The drainage system on the Island is 4cked up. |
semid4lyfe:That's why I say "If you have the means" . E no easy at all for this Tinubu economy; I don't blame people who patronize agbo |
semid4lyfe:You are right , basic Health insurance is still better than not having health insurance coverage at all . What I do and always others to do (if they have the means) is to have two hospitals they use. 1. Hospital which Ur HMO provides under Ur NHIS/Health Insurance package. You can always take basic Healthcare issues to this hospital with u not paying out of pocket. 2. Hospital which u know and trust to be of much quality which can manage Ur health needs at premium value. For example if ur wife is pregnant and needs both antenatal and delivery services ; u don't want tí subject Ur wife to the hospital haggling with HMO back and forth on whether or not to administer a particular treatment on her or not. All u will care about at that point is the safety of Ur wife and child. Paying out of pocket for this may not be out of place if u have the means. |
semid4lyfe:HMO is good but if u have an underlining ailment or major ailment, most HMOs will exclude its treatment from their package which means u may have to pay for its treatment out of pocket . Some of them will put the treatment of such ailment on their most expensive package like platinum . Others will just put a moratorium on the coverage of underlining ailments like asthma for a certain period . For example they may say asthma is not covered for the first 24 months of the policy I.e u can’t get treated for asthma for the first 2 years u buy the HMO plan . HMO is mostly good for general healthcare needs like going to the hospital for malaria treatment , going to dentist for scaling and polishing , seeing an ENT once in a while , seeing optician for consultation and treatment , etc . The corporate plans which companies buy for their staff are in different grades and usually provides more comprehensive coverage . The retail plans on the other hand are more expensive and sometimes they have limitations . One major issue I have with HMO from experience is at times hospitals won’t give u the necessary and most effective drugs because they have a feeling ur HMO won’t reimburse them adequately for some treatment they administer . There are some tests that hospitals will be seeking approval for hours from HMOs before carrying out on u; when u ask the hospital how much is it ? U will discover the test may not even be more than N7,500 🤦♂️. I wonder if people who are under health insurance in the UK, Canada , Australia and the US fail something similar . |

larride:This unbundling of NNPC hasn't achieved much as far as I know. But I will study the PIA sha and I will see if its full implementation will achieve much |
