GloriousGbola:Lolz 😂 Let me explain to u what I mean. The top management guys who work in these places don't need to come out to say anything, they are friends with people like this guy who came on AriseTv. They drink with them and chatter about things happening in their organization over bottle of beer. That is the only explanation to why this guy knows the MD of the refinery and some top guys have been around for weeks and running around to put the facade shit-show up. Also, the casual workers/laborers used are obviously indigenes. That is why this guy can authoritatively tell you they loaded only 6 trucks from morning till night. Those kind of secret are not well kept in that kind of environment. You won't understand the kind of information some of these guys have access to. |
iamoyindamola:Here you go
|
Itsrm:Even me sef go siddon watch the full version later in the evening. I would like to know the questions Abati and the rest of Arise crew posed to him |
GloriousGbola:You clearly don't know who host communities are in the Niger Delta. The educated indigenes work in top management in most companies down there. If this guy is saying this, it's because he has full details of what went down. |
The Secretary of Alesa Stakeholders ( The host community of PH refinery) was on AriseTV this morning and he alleged NNPC scammed the whole Nigeria with their claim that PH refinery is now producing. 🤦♂️ https://x.com/chiditweets042/status/1862070152088723617?s=46 Watch how he broke things down in the video. |
DissTroy:Seeing that you didn't address the true fiscal federalism issue I raised in my last post, I take it that you agree focusing more on FG that takes 52.68% from the federation account is not as bad as you made it seem in your initial post. I also believe government at all levels should be held accountable for their actions and inactions. |
Theflint1:So will the FG pay for his travel expenses since he's part of the entourage or it is the state government that will chest the bill? Because I'm sure as hell that they definitely won't travel in the presidential jet with T-Pain |
Theflint1:I no even understand the need for him to jump on a plane to Paris. Funny enough his travel expenses will be on the state government's account for a trip that is highly unnecessary |
DissTroy:Can you read Hausa? If a Jigawa or Gombe man on Facebook write about government policies in his state can you read it? You are not seeing Jigawa related news trending on Facebook and twitter simply because they converse mostly in Hausa and you as a Southerner can't read Hausa Language. That's why it will not trend as much as you would expect. People focus more on FG because we obviously don't practice true federalism in Nigeria. The federal government takes the major stake of 52.68 per cent from the federation account. And the 36 states with 774 local governments are left with 26.72 per cent and 20.72 per cent respectively. You will agree with me that the figures justify the Ultra-focus on the center right? |
Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu Receives President Bola Tinubu And His Wife, Oluremi in FranceI'm struggling to really understand this. Sanwoolu leaves Lagos to go receive T-Pain in Paris or what?
|
airmark:FG and state governors have not been doing enough. People should question them both. |
airmark:Nothing you have said here has negated the points I raised. A person can call out FG as well as call out his state government. I never said majority of Nigerians are importers, I only used importation business as a relatable example. I could've used a trader, I could've used a banker who pays his taxes, I could've used an average business owner, and so on and so forth. The point is people should be able to question people heading whatever level of government that they feel is not doing enough to better their lot despite them being law abiding citizens who contribute their quota to the society. If FG is wasting money on frivolities people should call them out and no FG apologist should be trying to chide them for doing that. |
iamoyindamola:Shebi I tell una say the lady is not one of us and doesn't really want to associate with us despite all the loads of congratulatory messages we dey ship go her side. She's loyal to her adopted country and there's nothing we can do about it. |
airmark:Well, my opinion on this is that two truths can coexist. A person can criticize his state government and at the same time criticize the FG if he feels he's not getting the best from the two levels of government. I will give a practical example to this. For example we have a man who is into Importation business resident in Lagos ; he brings in cars via the ports officially, clears his cargo with millions of naira (which a major source of revenue to FG as confirmed by Customs) and sells his cars in a car lot owned by him in Lagos. Such a man is within his rights to call out FG and or Lagos state government if he believes he's not getting good governance from both levels of government. Why? Here is why : 1. Each time he brings in container load of vehicles he pays customs duty and other associated fees/rates to clear the goods at the port. These millions he pays is source of revenue for the FG and anytime he hears VP residence is renovated with 21 billion naira he has every right to drag FG &to express his dissatisfaction with such actions . Anytime he reads news of the FG appointing 11 different people to do the job of spokesperson/media aide to the presidency, he has every right to be enraged that the government is wasting scarce resources on frivolous things. Nobody should tell him to face his state government when the exchange rate and import duty exchange rate keeps going higher thereby frustrating his business. 2. The moment the man clears his container from Apapa port, he will have trucks transport his cargo to his car lot. On the way the trucks will pay different forms of fees to revenue collectors who collect these fees on behalf of the state government. Even local governments have their own revenue collectors who will "cut ticket" for the truck drivers. All of these are cost to the businessman and revenue to the state government. Now the guy pays land use charge to Lagos state government for the car lot where he sells the cars which is also another revenue to Lagos state government. Even local government will come to his car lot to collect various rates as required by the law. If his business is duly registered by CAC there's a high chance LIRS will call at his place to get what is theirs by law. After a businessman pays all of these, he is within his right to be enraged when he reads on media that the Lagos state government buys air fresheners and rechargeable fans for ₦3.75billion. Nobody should gaslight him and tell him to go back to his state the moment he raises questions about how any of the state government's frivolous spendings. He should be able to make videos of roads in his areas that needs repairs in his area but continues to suffer neglect despite the humongous IGR of the state. Nobody should be telling him balderdash about having an agenda against the government for political reasons. These are the issues. |
DissTroy:One thing u should understand is that a governor getting dragged/called out online is a function of the number residents/indigenes of the state with social media presence online. (most especially opposition party members with online presence) It is the residents/indigenes of those states that usually set the tone for discussion before people of other states will pick interest and join in dragging that particular state government for their actions and inactions. And yes this applies to all states. When u see people dragging governors of states like Rivers, Lagos, Kano, Akwa Ibom, etc online, it's simply because the residents/indigenes of those states have much online presence compared to other states, the opposition members in those states are active online and always scrutinizing the actions and inactions of the state govrnments. Once they set the tone for discussion, it is then the regular social media user can decide to pick interest in discussing the state. Even the traditional print media don't focus much on states like Kebbi, Niger, Zamfara, etc except it's news bordering on insecurity issues or electoral matters. Nobody is under obligation to start using torchlight to look for Yobe state news, Kwara state news, etc. |
chrisooblog:With the allegations of blending made by Dangote's team, NNPC may have a trick to pull out of their hat as regards the market share they will control o if their price is cheaper than Dangote's. Another thing is do we actually know what exactly is figure for our local demand? Shebi it's the figures same NNPC churns out we all rely on whether it's accurate or otherwise At the end of the day, what truly matters is the final consumer getting PMS at a competitive price that reflects local refining. |
Roland17:Most times I struggle to understand what exactly is Reno's motivation for doing all those nonsense he does online. I mean does he get compensated/renumerated for setting the tone for ethnic rivalry via his hate filled posts or what? This guy is not even from any of the major tribes but makes it a duty to always set up the tribes to go into bitter arguments. Today he says he's a pastor and tomorrow he's spreading hate on the internet. The crazy thing is that he doesn't even stop by posting those stuff on Twitter, he posts them on a professional medium like LinkedIn and you will see people making comments with their professional page giving approval to his line of thought 🤦♂️ You are right that education doesn't do much when it comes to common sense |
iamoyindamola:He has good stature. |
iamoyindamola:I just saw Gawat's tweet now confirming it was a Jan 2019 event at niteshift coliseum where Sanwoolu was answering questions as APC candidate prior to 2019 elections. So u see that even if he had security , it would've been bad PR for him if he had ordered the lady arrested as a candidate . |
[quote author=iamoyindamola post=133058666]This man is too tolerant and I don't like it They use it to disrespect him alot users on twitter are saying the video is an old video. Some said it was a January 2019 video when Sanwoolu was not yet the governor and that was why there were no security visible on sight. Another person said it was more of a question and answer section which was time bound so, the lady was in a rush to complete her question before handing over the mic. Well, I think only Goldmyne entertainment that made the video can give the real context or better still share the full video |
Shegzdave:As in.... Those lecturers he's looking for ehn, he will see their faces tire by the time he starts going from one office to the other prostrating and begging ![]() Nigerian University mad gan |
You no go fold keh? 😂
|
izzou:The story never clear. |
GloriousGbola:He and his lenders will be like: "which kind wahala be this?" 🤦♂️ |
Itsrm:In other words, may whoever sells the cheapest win abi ? ![]() |
GloriousGbola:Yeah, I noticed the different grades of petrol abroad in one video I watched recently. The bitter truth is that if Dangote goes the way of marketing his PMS as " High Quality PMS" with its price higher than NNPC's blended PMS, Dangote may be out of business in no time. This is because the average poor Nigerian consumer will jejely buy NNPC's blended PMS and give Dangote's the middle finger. |
Theflint1:What they don't know is that all their attempt to troll Sanwoolu or trying to cancel him will only end up sealing the Ridwane guy's fate. If he was planning on reinstating the guy before, he may decide to just let him go eventually |
Itsrm:The problem is there's been so much propaganda thrown around by all parties to the extent that the common man is confused and don't know who is telling the truth . |
iamoyindamola:If I remember correctly, that "soro soke weyrey" was during the ENDSARS protest when it was still peaceful and he was adressing the protesters. What would you have had him do at that point? Ask tens of his security guys to attack the thousands of protesters? Didn't u see how the protests turned out when he eventually listened to wrong advice of using force later on? Being calm and civil is never a weakness for a public servant o. |
izzou:Dangote dey use style dey talk say NNPC dey sell Kpofire. ![]() Wahala just too much for this country |
iamoyindamola:Sanwoolu didn't do anything wrong from the video. It is the lady's disposition I question. The lady's accent sounds like a foreign accent and she didn't behave in a courteous manner. Away from the agenda that Sanwoolu is weak, I think someone needs to put a context to that video; like where did it happen? What was the occassion? and why did the lady behave in such rude manner? |
