If you are saying all the reports of the president organizing emergency transport because of his plane developing faults are false, then you have a point.

Planes like any other machine develop faults over time too. None of us here will want to enter a plane if we know it has had multiple faults recently, but we want the president to keep using it?

My question still remains unanswered . Whoever buys the old aircraft will he park it in a museum for exhibition or it will suddenly become airwothy in the hands of a new owner?

actually we have always had issues with plane maintenance in nigeria. i read a story to the effect that it is cheaper to buy a used jet that has been recently audited and ground it when the next audit date is due. because plane maintenance is not cheap. you see how our NAF regularly bungles routine aircraft maintenance.

i suspect that may also be part of the issues. though the optics of buying a plane at this time leave a lot to be desired.

The funny thing is aviation experts actually confirmed that the maintenance of this newly acquired airbus is more complicated than Boeing.

So if they are unable to maintain the Boeing well, what’s the assurance they can maintain the newly acquired airbus that is more complex ?

The long and short is PMS is sold at almost half the price it was imported into the country. The people are paying for half the landing cost while the government is paying the other half. How is that not subsidy?

They claimed briefcase companies and importers are the reason why subsidy payment figures are bloated. Now that they claim they no longer pay subsidy, yet the money they pay to keep pump price low is now more than what they pay when the briefcase companies were involved.

It is the way we have all accepted fuel scarcity as a normal that is surprising to me. Like it is now almost a generally acceptable thing that u will spend hours on queue to buy fuel u will use for few days before u join another queue.

Everybody now carry on as if fuel scarcity is one achievement of this government .
