The guy is probably a Yahoo boy, but EFCC needs to do better. I checked through the list of what they recovered from him and nowhere did EFCC mention they recovered anything from him that confirmed he's a yahoo boy.

They didn't mention whether they saw evidence of phishing r scam mails from him or anything of sort. All they listed are cars, gold chain, dollars, property titles, etc. At least they must have arrested him days before publishing the news; they should've had something incriminating on him which they should be including in their press release.

So far is looking like it is just the usual case of arrest now and investigate later.

Same thing happened in Kaduna where some unscrupulous people built their houses on without approval or on government lands. Former governor El-Rufai demolished those buildings and even went ahead to make the owners of such properties to pay for the demolition because government bulldozers were used. And in the even that the owners of such properties refused to pay, Kaduna state government will head to court and force the offenders to pay of risk jail term

Do u think if they built house on government land the government would've given them any compensation at all?

Did u follow the news at all? All the people who got compensated are people whom the government confirmed were occupying the land legally.

The issue is the compensation does not match even 1% of the actual value of the property destroyed and those people have gone to court to demand what they believe is fair

My post was directed at Umahi who claimed the property owners are "bad people" for going to the courts to seek further compensation for their properties destroyed.

You don't destroy someone's property worth billions of naira and give them paltry 1.3m as compensation simply because u can.

The people have a right to go to court to seek property compensation from the government. They are not bad people for exercising their legal right.

It's only people who have never made money in their lives to acquire assets and political sycophants that will think they are bad people.
