If you can read between the lines, Ganduje is being taken out the game. That's why Ganduje flatly and vociferously rejected the offer. Ambassador role is political exile. Tinubu is getting rid of him duplicitously by saying the role will shield him from prosecution meanwhile in Gandujes mind, Tinubu just wants to get rid of him, and he knows Tinubu can quash any charges against him so Tinubu excuse doesn't hold water. Why should Tinubu keep Ganduje around to revive his power base in Kano? Ganduje failed to deliver the last election in Kano on both Presidential and Gubernatorial level.
