WhoDeyHause: It's the club that reported itself to them while investigations were going on so we will have a smaller punishment but gba city is still allowed to sign players even with their 115 charges that we don't know when they will finally collect. I understand the team reported itself , but that was years after na. What I'm saying is : As at that period, didn't Chelsea have internal auditors who should warn that such transactions could actually lead to serious regulatory issues in the future? |

This is an addendum to the post I made last week about how our team has really come a long way particularly our defenders .
We’ve moved from a team with players either getting red carded for reckless foul or giving away penalties arising from clumsy challenge in the box ; to a team that is yet to concede a penalty after 31 league games .
I believe this stat and the fact that we conceded the least goal in the league thus far will do justice to Gabriel’s claim to be the league’s best player come end of season .

mostob: Beat Leverkusen to qualify for UCL QF Beat City to clinch Carabao cup Beat Bournemouth to go 12 points clear
Dear God, it's not too much... Not much at all
And by the special grace of God, one bottom team manager should win all his matches in March and carry the MOTM. 1. I want us to score Leverkusen like 2 goals early in the match and hold on by recycling possession and giving them pressure till like 65 to 70 minutes. 2. Arteta should start subbing off our key players by 70th minute so they can rest ahead of Sunday match vs City. 3. We should field our full squad Vs City without the exception of anybody. Let me even spell it out: Raya should start in goal ahead of Kepa to avoid any stories that touch. We need to win City on Sunday to make a very bold statement that we are going all-in for every trophy available ; that will even help boost the players' morale in the league. 4. We should be able to see out a win Vs Bournemouth , all things being equal. The moment we do that, the pressure will go right back on city who will then have to face a Chelsea team fighting for top 4 . If all these sup lasan, we will work into the month of April with zero pressure on us while having the league within our sights. |

The year Company, a defender won it, Van Persie was on fire for us.
Last last na just agenda, especially as we are almost certain of winning the league.
They just want to take something from us. That is just it! They just want to clutch at any straw whatsoever to discredit our impending crowning as champions. They want to claim we won the league without having any particular player who was spectacular. They would pretend they didn't see heroics of players like Gabriel, Raya, Rice , etc. |

Fkforyou: Them do start to Dey push Bruno agenda for POTS!
Lol.. everybody go Dey alright last last. Na Mumu agenda. At least 10 of the 16 assists they are using to push Bruno Agenda for player of the season came from corner kicks. Yet their fans will come to this thread to be chastising us about taking advantage of Corner kicks to win matches. I am glad the EPL already set precedent with 2020/21 season when Reuben Dias was awarded EPL best player as a defender who contributed immensely to Man City's triumph. When Arsenal wins the EPL this season and Gabriel Apatapiti is named EPL's best player, I will relish the salty tears of rival fans who would argue tooth and nail telling us how Bruno or Halland should win the award instead. Come to think of it, if they don't want to look at the position the teams finished on the log but consider the player's ability and contribution especially how they carried the team; Igor has a better claim to player of the year than Bruno sef. |

Gabzy1: We have really come a long way. We have finished second three consecutive times. I strongly believe this season we will get the job done.
That title run in 22/23 was a very painful one. Initially, nobody thought we would challenge for the title. But we kept on winning our matches, and then heading into April we were 8 points clear—although Man City had a game in hand.
Our lack of squad depth killed us back then. Saliba's injury around March dealt us a huge blow. We ended up drawing with Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton before eventually losing to Man City. The squad is much more experienced and deeper now.
Everyone has put in a good shift even though I criticise them at times.
COYG If not for anything, I want us to win the EPL because of Arteta ; beacuse of the work he's put in to get Arsenal play at this top level for the past 4 years now. He took us from the level where we always lose hope before we face anay top 6 team to we always looking forward to slugging it out with any so called big team. . Of a truth we've really come a long way but laurel have continued to elude us. This has made Arteta to get disrespect from fans and rivals. I'm a firm believer of " Results will cancel insults" and I strongly believe this year is that years Arteta and his boys will get their deserved accolades. |

About two weeks ago, I had my first experience with the Nigeria Police Force and it was very unpleasant.🥲
So I had just returned to Lagos two weeks ago and I decided to rest and relax my brain from the long drive.
I arrived Lagos on Saturday evening and slept throughout the evening till next morning.
On Sunday morning, my wife came to meet me to find out if I will be going to church with her and I told her no that I will like to sleep more as I still feel weak from the stress I went through while I was away from home.
Afterwards, she had her bath and went to church with her sister who lives with us.
However, I was in bed from that moment till they came back from church.🤦♂️
When they returned from church, my sister in-law kept shouting my name while she ran to the room where I was sleeping.
Sister in-law: Olumide, Olumide, Olumide.
Me: I thought to myself, what could be the problem?.
So I stood up from bed to go and see if everything is ok with her because that’s unlike my sister in-law to shoutout someone’s name in that manner.
As I got up from bed she opened the door and said to me.
Sister in-law: Where did you keep your phones?.
Me: One is in the dining where I am charging it. I have no idea where I kept the second one. I was too tired yesterday when I got home.
My sister in-law: Everyone has been calling you but you’re not picking.
Me: Calling me, what happened?😳
My sister in-law: On our way from church we met plenty people gathered around your car where you parked they caught a thief removing your car side mirror.
Immediately I heard that, my eyes opened widely and sleep quickly disappeared. 🤦♂️😫
I took one of my phones I could lay hands on at the time and ran outside to see what has happened.
On getting outside, I met not less than thirty people outside gathered around the thief questioning him about his identity while some were busy calling OPC to come arrest him.
Immediately my neighbors saw me, they said to me “Mr olumide where did you keep your phone?”.
I quickly apologized to them for not answering my calls and explained to them that I was sleeping.
I asked my neighbors and passersby gathered around the thief what has happened and they explained to me.
From the explanation they gave me, the guy was spotted by another neighbor around 1pm in the afternoon unknown to the thief.
My neighbor who spotted the guy lives upstairs so she was able to see the guy clearly.
However, it took the guy more than 40 minutes before he could pulled the car mirror off because there is a woman that sells Akara at the entrance of my street so the son comes at intervals to keep their cooking items inside their small kiosk just directly opposite where I parked.
From what they told me, once the thief sighted the Akara woman’s son he will leave the scene and act like he’s just a regular person on the street and return back to the car until the Akara woman’s son finished parking their pots and other cooking items in the kiosk and he returned to the car fully to complete his mission.
For anyone that knows me personally and knows where I live, they know that my street is a close and it’s always quiet.
Immediately he pulled off the side mirror, he left then my neighbor who spotted him earlier came out of their room and asked someone to quickly help check the car to see if anything is missing or everything is intact.
The person my neighbor sent quickly checked and realized that the driver’s side mirror is missing.
My neighbor quickly rushed downstairs from their apartment and asked that they shot our street gate and call the guy he spotted earlier loitering around the car.
Fortunately for me and unfortunately for him, he was about stepping out of my street when my neighbor raised the alarm.
They asked him if he took anything and as expected he denied it.
My neighbor who caught him and others pleaded with him to say the truth and also promised to let him go if he speak the truth but this boy denied it until they searched him and saw the car mirror in his cloth.
As expected, people were angry because this isn’t the first time this would happen in my street and we’ve not been fortunate enough to catch any perpetrator.
Before I came out, those that were passing by and those that had been affected in the past gave him small beating and he was picked up by OPC members that were called by some neighbors earlier before I arrived the scene.
Immediately he was picked up by the OPC members, they took him to the nearest police station to handle him to police while I drove right behind them to make a statement.
When we got to the police station, I wrote my statement and I was referred to another police officer in another office.
When I got there, I was asked what I wanted and i told him that I want to prosecute the guy who stole my car mirror.
He then said to me that there are some payments I will have to make and I asked that he list them for me.
1. He told me that I will pay 15K to file my statement.
2. I will pay for his treatment because he was beaten and might have sustained internal injuries.
3. I will drop money for his feeding if they will keep him there before the time we take him to court.
4. Anything I want to give them too.
However, I have no issues catering for number two (2) which is his healthcare.
But having heard that I will make provision for his feeding made me feel discouraged and disappointed and left me with so many questions about Nigeria police force.
And one of many questions that has lingered in my head since then till date is that, “Is there no budget for police force to take care of suspects in their custody before their court airing?”.
Is there no provision made for the police force to take care of the healthcare of suspects/criminals in their custody?.
I bet there’s none. And if there’s, why am I asked to make provision for feeding and pay for the healthcare of someone who robbed me of my belongings?.
I am not an advocate of jungle justice. In fact, I preach against it because sometimes we can be wrong about “identity” and punish innocent people.
But now, I am beginning to understand why “some” people don’t like to involve police whenever their belongings are stolen or caught thief.
Imagine you being robbed of your belongings and you report to police authorities and you were asked to feed the criminal who robbed you.
They should have kukuma asked me to buy him shoes and clothes so that he will not purge 😫. To me, it makes no sense and something needs to be done because not everyone will be patient enough to go through all the process I was asked to go through.
Plus it makes no sense that someone who just lost their property to thieves were asked to pay money before they could get justice. All in the name of provision for the suspect.
To me, I felt bad and deprived that day. It’s like robbing salt on my wound.
One of the passerby present that day put a call through to someone who sells motor spare parts at Ladipo market to find out the price of the mirror and he was told 250K.
Honestly, the Nigeria police needs to do better especially when Nigerians are fast loosing interest in their office.
If something isn’t done, people may result to self judgement which the outcome may not be good.
I urge the Nigeria police force to make their services stress free for the citizens rather than make them go through rigorous process especially when people summon courage to do the right thing by reporting to them than take laws into their hands. Credit- Olumide Abimbola on Facebook

larride: Yes. Their defense and midfield contributed handsomely When we say having a balanced team is key to having a consistent run of good games at the top level, airmark and his minions will argue otherwise. He will insist attack just needs to be fixed and everything will be fine. He will proceed to give you countless mentions each time the teams he chose to use as example wins a match by 3-2, 2,-1, etc. He even came up with the "outscore" mantra and has his citadel people following if religiously amongst Chelsea fans Case in point when it comes to Goal difference on the league table, Arsenal and man city have scored almost the same number of goals but arsenal conceded lesser number of goals. Like you rightly posited, the present Arsenal team is doing well because they are well drilled in almost all the departments. We don't parade mediocre defenders. We have the sleeky Saliba and Gabriel the indifatigable war horse at the heart of our defence. Both players now have deputies sho are already under studying them. Rice in midfield can run his heart out to see that the midfield gets to control possession and then we have infusion of new attackers like Gyokeres, Eze and co. The team is balanced, they defend in cohesion and also attack as a unit. |

iamoyindamola: They no play anything for second half Make I see any useless pundits say we use corner again, how can you penetrate this fvcking wall na Baba this what was I was trying to say that day. Most of these EPL teams will play low block against us making it difficult for us to score through open play goals. They hope while we are trying to force their defence open by putting more men in attack, we will make mistake and then they will capitalize on it to score us then go back to their low block. Thank God for Jover and Arteta who came up with the set piece option which has allowed us to score these yeye teams despite their low blocks. It's the frustration that arsenal still manages to win despite these teams' low block that is making rival fans and pundits nag about our set piece goals. They want to see us lose so bad and started the campaign about how arsenal is boring....blah...blah. That's why I said we arsenal fans should not indulge them by giving Arteta and the coaching crew the stick for scrapping out a win through corner kick goals. If u notice when we play in the UCL we are always fluid and we don't struggle to score our opponents (except that Leverkusen match which I think may be due to fatigue). The teams come out to play and we ball them hard including Bayern, Inter Milan, Athletico, etc. Na EPL dem go force us to use the set piece option due to their low block and they will turn back to accuse us of being boring |

They will add more and will come in to a bigger output in this depth contribution. MKe Una calm down ó. Which one is risk it with 7 games to go and we are not yet assured of winning the league? If na u, will u suddenly introduce youngster like Dowman and an erratic Lewis-Skelly into the starting line-up at this stage when pressure is mounting on us towards the final lap of the season? I support the idea of having Dowman come in like he did yesterday in matches we need fresh legs and creativity like yesterday. I don't support him coming on in a game like Brighton or any other game we needed to hang on a thread to see the game off. I believe the use of these players should be needs-based and not just emotionally based because yesterday's game outcome.
