But your point is valid, Now is even the time we need Tomi most. I just hope Timber comes back early this month. Maybe he can be our Tomi till Tomi comes back
I don't even understand that Timber injury sef. Those kind injuries go just spoil the whole team's plan. The management will be unwilling to spend millions to splash on another player as stop gap.

I've not followed spanish football recently , but in first few games Tierney played he was in good form. Maybe na to just recall him cos both Zinchencko + Sluggish Kiwior no reach one standard LB

1. "I discovered that no matter how our people claim to love good, dutiful delivery agents that are serious-minded, more often than not, they also want leaders they could touch and feel and hang out with; one that’s ready to be with them at ‘shepe’ joints and motor parks. That was Governor Fayose’s strength and he exploited that effectively."

2. "My media team told me that they wanted me to go to parties, markets, etc. I despise that kind of retail politics. When my wife got fed up, she took up the responsibility of attending every naming ceremony and funeral because she knew I would not answer."

3. "There is such a sense of entitlement that does not acknowledge the real developmental effort and that is why they get cheated by charlatans who have nothing to offer because they can play the game in a way that the majority gullibly fall for. By the time I came back after four years of Governor Fayose, you could see the sobriety because they’d suffered, but I also learnt my lessons that I had to connect more, which I tried to do but I didn’t do it like the former governor."

4. "Governor Oyebanji has conducted himself much better than me in terms of connecting with people because I also said to him, “Don’t inherit my enemies. And I have many who regard me as their enemy, even if I don’t see them as such. Don’t be too serious. Our people don’t like leaders that are too serious.” And he seems to have found the right balance, without diminishing the office he occupies." Kayode Fayemi
All these ones na story. Fayemi didn't do well in his first term and was booted out for it; coupled with the fact that he was really aloof from the people. I know this because my former boss is from the state who goes home regularly all through Fayemi's first and second term.

It's not a matter of the people not liking a governor that is too serious. It was Fayemi's second term he did well in terms of developmental projects. He just dey add maggi and salt to make his story sweet; nobody was expecting him to leave development/governance of the state to be attending naming ceremony.

I don't know why politicians always try to tell stories the way it favours them even to the extent of blaming the people for their own self-imposed woes.

People were owed up to 2 years salary in ABSUTH.
My question is how do people go don’t get paid keep going to their work place ? Do they have money tree growing at their backyard or what ?

A job that expects me to dress well, eat and survive will not pay me and I will still turn up ?

How ?

This may sound extreme , but those people that keep going to work for close to a year after not getting paid are worse than those who vote bad leaders due to religious or ethnic sentiments .

You are right about LASG to an extent because I know that they also do internal recruitment without publishing it for everyone.

Some of these govt agencies especially federal agencies most times conduct internal recruitment to fill up space. They only publicize it when they want to do mass recruitment.

If you know anyone in those agencies or ministries, they just need to put ear to the ground to know when internal recruitment is ongoing. Even in the corporate world, internal recruitment is a thing where staff can recommend potential employees to their employers. A friend of mine got a job at Hydrogen Pay (A subsidiary of Access Bank) through this way.
I know private organizations so recruit through employee's referals , but the point I'm trying to make is that when government agencies do unadvertised internal recruitment it is usually through man-know-man and it may be subject to a new government coming in & cancelling the whole process.

We've seen instances where some state governors in the last few months of their tenure will just recruit massively without any provision for those recruited. The new governor will come in and cancel the whole recruitment process because he believes the ex-governor did that to set financial trap for his administration.

I think the key takeaway from this is to always have it at the back of one's mind that such recruitment can always end up this way. So one should not put all his hope in all these dodgy government recruitment.

well, what is backdoor in nigerian context - particularly where govt job is concerend?
In my opinion , backdoor is getting a job that was not publicly advertised for all and sundry. Any government job that involves somebody somewhere to help u submit ur CV internally , this kind of situation can arise.

For example when Lagos state wants to recruit teachers , LASTMA , LNSC , etc they usually advertise in both newspapers and online, they state the number of people they are targeting at recruiting and all. U know when that is done, they won’t come back tomorrow and claim job racketeering or that the government agency recruited people outside the personnel budget of the government .

So in a nutshell the ex-CMD of the hospital employed thousands of people the ministry/government does not have provisions for. Na wa o. Simply a case of job racketeering

But what exactly kept u guys going ? I won’t even report at a job they owe me more than 2 months salary . If I was in ur shoes I would’ve looked elsewhere and move on because going by what the punch wrote , it might likely end in a situation in which only few people will be retained and paid after conclusion of the investigation
