itsrm I guess this will be one of the many court judgments that will be flying up and down Rivers state in this long drawn out battle.

I am actually interested in the argument of Ehie Edison's lawyers that convinced the Judge to confirm him as authentic speaker even when he was elected by just 5 house members.

Nigerian Judiciary ehn; I'm sure the other guy too will get his own judgment from another high court soon.

You sympathised with Larride that day, but you are hiding behind Donjazet to throw stones today

Did you not have a mind of your own that particular day?

How come you didn't spell out Consequences then?[/color]
Just leave prospa make he dey change mind like Chameleon dey change skin colour.

Immediately he mentioned my name I ran a search on that Larride post the other day and saw him sympathizing with Larride trying to encourage him like everyone else. Today he's trying to gaslight person all over the place.

The same Don J he's hiding behind to throw stones, we all commiserate with him when he was bereaved and nobody at that point was dragging his political choice into the tragedy.

I don't know why people find it so hard to be humane when it is most needed.

On this very thread two different people (who I quite well voted Tinubu) reached out to me privately about how things are tough and I assisted with the little I had at the time without asking them "Why did u vote Tinubu ?" " Didn't we warn u that u will see shege if u vote Tinubu "? etc. ( Sorry I had to mention this)

At the end of the day we are all humans and we gats let humanity win. Personally I don't believe in kicking anybody that is down at the moment; it just doesn't sit well with my person.

atiku nko, wetin he wan use money do?
U didn't follow the discussion from Ibime's post to understand the context of my question.

Ibime said If Fubara will stand a chance at all against Wike in fight for the soul of Rivers state; then he will need to find his way to Peter Odili and that Odili's intervention will cost him nothing less than $10m. So I'm wondering what does a 75 year old Odili needs that kind money for again considering the fact that he has since given up on his presidential bid and just wants to stay at the background as an elder statesman?

To answer ur question about Atiku, u know that one is still not giving up on his life long dream of becoming the president so he can always come up with a mumbo jumbo excuse that he just wants to be the president to solve naija's problem (Something we all know is a lie)

BlueRayDick asked what Odili need more millions for.
I've been very close with politicians in real life, and one thing I take from most of them is they hardly invest and they spend money unnecessarily. That is why you see someone that looted hundreds of millions going broke within a few years.
They have this mentality that another appointment will come and more money will come. But then, in life things don't always go the way we want.
The reason why I asked is because I expect Odili to be in the level of Tinubu as far as money siphoned from government purse is concerned.

Odili ruled a very rich Rivers state; I even read he was the one that floated Arik Airlines. I rate him and Tinubu as the top 2 ex governors that made most money from the 1999 set of governors.

All his children are grown and well sorted for life in their own chosen fields. Wetin dem wan use money do again ?

Because elections and votes don't matter in this state. What matters is who has the machinery to influence and write results in his favour.

That machinery as of this moment belongs to Wike. Don't forget that Wikes cousin is the current INEC rec in the state. It is he who determines who the actual collation officers will be. I mean, the collation officer on paper can be Mr A. The actual person who will do the collation will be Mr B who has firm instructions to influence results a certain way. It goes beyond having loyal supporters and even money.

It will be interesting to see what Fubara can pull being the governor but all the people I've seen so far coming to him are irrelevant.

The Office of the Vice President of Nigeria paid the sum of N10 million to offset hotel bills incurred by guests of Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, FIJ has learned.

On November 17, 2023, the vice president’s office paid the sum to Royal Pacific Group, and the payment description states, “Payment in favour of Fraser Suites, Abuja, Nigeria, for the settlement of hotel accommodation bills for the service rendered to guests of Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo”.

FIJ found records of this transaction on the BudgIT Govspend platform as scraped from the publicly available Open Treasury Portal.

Folashade is the leader of Nigerian traders. Popularly referred to as Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, she occupies no elected office in government, even though in May 2023 she began referring to herself as the first daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

FIJ found records dating back to June 11, 2019, of regular payments made by several MDAs to Royal Pacific Group for accommodation purposes of guests, but this was the first payment to the company for guests of a private citizen.

FIJ tried to contact Ibrahim Hadejia, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President in the Office of the Vice President, but we were unable to obtain his contact information.

On Monday, FIJ called Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, but he wasn’t reachable. A text message sent to him had not been responded to at press time.

sadly the same shit happened in kwara

up to 2014 saraki was in PDP

in the 2011 elections, Dele belgore was part of APC and they came very close to winning the elections, in 2014 Saraki came into APC and Belgore exited.

it was as simple as that. two differnt machinery and two people who are political enemies cannot coexist in a party

and in the end , it cost APC dearly as Saraki had his own agenda

Wike is not worth the drama he brings with him.
Shey all those Magnus Abe, Tonye Cole and Amaechi go just dey watch as dem turn political orphan due to Wike Politicking or they have a joker off their sleeve they want to play too ?

I sha hope FG will not later declare state of emergency in that state in this new year we dey enter.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:49am On Dec 12, 2023
Ibime:
Wike vs Fubara is a fight Fubara can't win because Fubara does not have the grassroots, the structure, the LGA Chairmen nor the House. Even Fubara does not know how he won the last election. And just as importantly FG is fully.behind Wike. There is a reason Rivers APC Executive committee was disbanded and replaced with an interim committee. It is so as to take APC Rivers Structure away from Amaechi and give it to Wike. Tinubu has defenestrated Amaechi and crowned Wike as pointman of APC in Rivers State so all tools of "Federal Mighty" are behind Wike from Security Services to Judiciary to money.

Amaechi and Dakuku are the same structure, and Magnus Abe does not even see eye to eye with Amaechi to work together, and even then it's a moot point.

Fubara is cornered and trapped from grassroots and FG, and can only play the ethnic card, among which the main Wardlords in his tribe are not even behind him. Any attempt to fight a losing battle will only lead to civil conflict and bloodshed in Rivers State. . . . but the outcome is already predetermined. The only trick Fubara can pull out of the hat is to go work a deal with Peter Odili to get a favourable judicial outcome like Amaechi did against Omehia at a cost of $10m, but I'm sure Wike has got there first.
My question is what will people that were originally in APC in rivers do ? Will they just allow Wike and his people who have shown them shege in APC come and take over the structure of APC just like that ?

Won’t they be better off if they align with Fubara who has direct access to Rivers state treasury at the moment instead of Wike ?

I know traditionally Rivers is PDP and APC as a party is still dying to find its root in the grassroots in rivers state ; APC is like an opposition there from my little time in the state and my interraction with the oil and gas guys on ground .

I know it was Wike-Fubara unholy alliance that brought Fubara to power , but Shey he will just throw all those executive power away and start begging a godfather that has already made up his mind on sacking him ?

As for Peter Odili , wetin that septugenarian still wan dey do with millions in dollars again ? 🤦‍♂️. Do these rich people not get tired of money and power ?

Working for a friend usually doesn't end well except it is a partnership in which they contribute and share profit in a predetermined proportion.

I actually know someone with same trajectory, started with laptops but ended with money exchange and crypto

However I don't believe in selling false dreams because it's very rare. In Nigeria we tend to hold up one guy, a 0.1% occurrence that hammered and the other 99% will rush in and get themselves wrecked chasing that one example, when they had other options with more certainty but less upside

A good example was in the late 2000s, one of our seniors (Keniebi Okoko) went back home and became a billionaire almost overnight thanks to his relationship with GEJ. Many other guys in my circle here in UK who had decent careers rushed home to chase the same goldrush but 80% of them returned with tails tucked, one even lost his house after falling behind on payments. Some carried on chasing the dream till date but are at disadvantage to where they would have been if they just stayed the course.
What is usually responsible for this is story of people like Chief Ebuka who don't tell their stories in full; they withhold key details when telling their story.

If u don't know about the Okoko guy's GEJ connection, u too will most likely think the guy came home, sold his technical know-how to the government and made billions off it.

Those that really make the money in computer village are those guys who stock up Phone parts, laptops, etc All those "bros we get for another shop" usually go to pick it from them, sell to u and remove their own margin. And those major sellers definitely didn't use N200k as startup capital.

These guys do not look like potential Chief Ebuka in the next 5 years sef.

I don't doubt the fact that Chief Ebuka may have grown a company that started with hundreds of thousands to a million-venture business, but the figures, line of business, inflation and exchange rate are not adding up in this particular story.
