GloriousGbola:It's all those MURIC and his followers that pushed all those agenda, not any northern Muslim group in Lagos. I knew when he started all those agitation way back. He would call for parents to go picket public schools because the principal said Hijab is not part of the school uniform approved by the government. He instigated a whole lot of demonstration all in the name of fighting for "rights" |
raumdeuter:Even when I was in school we had them too right here in Lagos. They make issues out of the smallest and negligible matter. Even some fellow Muslims find their posituon on issues on the extreme. They make everything about fighting /activism and confrontation. |
raumdeuter:Normally he no supposed his party primary sef considering Oyo State is a highly traditional Yoruba state that is home to kingdoms like Oyo, Ibadan, Ogbomosho, etc that value the Yoruba Traditional beliefs and cultural values. Anybody coming out for governor with the thought of ever introducing Sharia into the state should not even win a primary election of the smallest party in the state. |
GloriousGbola:I don't thibk it has anything to do with northerners influence in the southwesg jàre. Right from time there has always been some extremist Muslims in the south west ; although they are in the minority. If you listen to Koko inú ìwé ìròyìn often, you will hear them refer to such people as "alakatakiti ẹsin". I think it's just those guys getting bold and having more of them getting political posts. Shebi this shittu was a minister under Buhari or so. I've known that MURIC guy (Ishaq Oloyede) for over 20 years and he's always been like that. He used to come on a Muslim program on MITV every Sunday morning and he's always been an extremist in his views and opinions. He's always ready to cause division with his agitation and raising issues where there's none. I won't say it's the influence of northerners in the south west that caused it. There are many of those guys in places like Ogbomosho, Osogbo, Lagos Island, etc. |
iamoyindamola:He go first deal with all those Lagos boys wey Tinubu pack join body. ![]() |
Ibime:Anytime he falls like that, the mind of politicians who bet their political career on him/his political appointees go just dey cut anyhow. ![]() |
Izzou see the people Soludo locked their market yesterday, they are carrying out Pro-Nnamdi Kanu protests in the market today
Whats the assurance these guys won't attack anybody that wants to flout the Monday sit-at-home order? |
iamoyindamola:Your post that had the twitter link was singing the praise of Zinchenko when we all knew how you felt about his time with us. That's why I was surprised you are suddenly appreciative of Zinchenko's contribution to the team. Yeah, as a fan it is your prerogative to discuss the coach's tactics and register either your displeasure or delight with the said tactics. Normal! |
iamoyindamola:You've left Zinchencko to talk about Zubi ? ![]() By the way you've been calling out Arteta for his tactics since the beginning of the season (most especially when we draw or lose). So why are you saying "we" ignored Arteta's tactics? |
iamoyindamola:You wey no be manager sef criticized Zinchenko severally for being a defensive liability. Even the 2022/23 season you are using as reference point as per the video link u dropped, u called Zinchenko out severally back then for the same reason Arteta finally let him go. This one u are saying Arteta turned him to scrap I no understand o. iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: |
iamoyindamola:So it's the manager that turned him to scrap ? ![]() |
germaphobe:Once a team is not doing well, different agenda will start showing face from left to right so I understand. I'm sure if we were sitting atop the league table with 18 points gap despite getting our goals through a combination of open play goals and set piece goals , nobody will be fixating on all these narratives we've been reading since Sunday. You would be seeing the same media praising the team for the same thing they are flaying us for now. It is what it is. I was just surprised seeing Zinchencko that has cost us points in the past suddenly being pushed as the one who would've made the difference for us this seaon. I shock! |
iamoyindamola:Baba, you literally clamoured for us to sell Zinchencko. There are tons of posts from you on different match days complaining about him while he was here . You always call him the weak link in the team (which is actually true); but now u are making it seem like we did the wrong thing selling him when that has always been what u wanted. iamoyindamola: |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:I once thought of this as the only way to make politics less attractive to looters who don't have the heart for service but to enrich their pockets. In Nigeria you will see people resigning as Bank MDs to contest as senators simply because of the stupendous funds they would have access to as a law maker. The kind of money they will never be able to earn for years, they ill make in just one year in office. If we can make find a way to pay governors the salary of a masters degree holder, pay senators & HOA members the salary of a B.Sc holder ,pay president salary of Phd Holders and have strong institutions like EFCC, Police, Judiciary etc working independently free from influence of the executive.....Just maybe this country can have a shot at redemption. I know it is a very tall order that seem almost impossible, but from where I stand that is what this country needs to rid her of politicians who just want to get to power and become mega billionaires overnight. |
iamoyindamola:This is exactly my grouse with those polithifians. They don't bring any value whatsoever to the table; it's not like they are the young brilliant minds that are putting the name of the country on the global map. In the contrary, they continue to bring disgrace to this country with their corruption and failure to legislate like other house of assemblies do in other countries practicing democracy; yet they always budget ridiculous amounts for themselves as renumeration. |
Spy360: ![]() U dey mind am? Person wey him team score Arsenal through Corner kick which clearly involved Enzo Fenandez shoving Raya is preaching for Arsenal to stop "dirty Corner kick tactics ". Some jokes write themselves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnSccqpzEB8?si=JBTJDf-st91h38s- |
Spy360:That's just it. Our players are well drilled to take advantage of any slip from the opposition when defending corner kicks against us and it angers their supporters. Arsenal would be playing a corner kick you would see their player dragging Gabriel's cloth and trying to prevent him from being anywhere near the ball; but the moment the corner kick is in the air Gabriel will lose his marker and leap high to attempt a chance at goal. Most times he gets it right and you see opponents complaining we score too many corner kicks. How is it our fault they can't mark out our players who very good in the air? I can always agree we need to work on our creativity so we can score as many goals as possible from open play, but I will not join any opponent or Arsenal fan to complain about us scoring set piece goals. Lailai! |
hateshit:Did anybody stop your team from adopting what you choose to call evil approach ? In case you don't know , Arsenal as a team does not exist to play yori yori football to your delightful pleasure. One thing I have noticed is that most of you rival fans who have a whole lot to say about this corner agenda don't even watch Arsenal matches as much as you want to claim. If you do, you won't be here crashing out about "evil approach when taking corners". I have attached a link to all arsenal goals scored in the first half of the season. Abeg kindly point out the number of goals scored through your so-called evil approach to taking corners and let's juxtapose with the corner kick goals scored by the team you support. I have time for this today. You will tell me maybe it is Arsenal's fault that opponents are foolish enough to always leave couple of our players unmarked in their box during corner kicks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ8ufiagnpo?si=jbPJ4xjvJxJ9HDWP |
mostob:As in....u get. People just come up with all sorts of ridiculous takes just to make their agenda have a leg to stand on. He's saying crossing the ball to Gabriel Jesus in the box while Maguire is their defender shows we don't want to score but win corners. He has forgotten that the same Gebriel Jesus actually scored header against Inter Milan that had 3 CB's on the pitch o; so who the h*ll is Maguire? It's just funny how opponents want to dictate how we score goals against them. They want to play to their own strength by pandering to their sentiments when we can always score the same way other teams are doing without being questioned for their method. |
https://x.com/ifesalakooffice/status/2015774192919036375?s=46 After they deduct our tax from source, they start spending tax payers' funds on frivoloties for political office holders at overpriced costs and still send as much as 180 billion through alpha Beta for their oga at the top. If we complain their voltrons will wear "aṣọ agbára" begin defend the Indefensible 😏

patrickmuf:Show us the percentages let's see. Let's see the difference in the percentages. I have shown you data that actually says Man united has scored 13 set piece goals out of 36 goals as at when the data was computed two weeks ago. Chelsea also had 12 set piece goals o. We've nit even talked about penalty goals which you guys have more than us o. Do the maths Let's see if Arsenal is an outlier in the data set or you are just making things up to satisfy your own bias that has been fuelled by social media frenzy around Arsenal. Anybody who didn't watch the match that sees you crashing out about arsenal corner kicks would think arsenal players were deliberately playing the ball into your players on the touch line to win corners at all cost. They won't know it's actually your players blocking shots or our attempts to create something in the box that led to the corner kicks. 🤷♂️ When Newcastle would out muscle our players to score us via goal mouth scramble resulting from Corner kicks I didn't see rival fans telling them to take it easy on us. |
Ihebu4chelsea:When Chelsea wins the league with 100 open play goals and 0 set piece goal ba? 🤡🤡🤡 |
germaphobe:People only see what they want to see. No arsenal fan will argue that we need to sort our creativity problem. But pandering to sentiments of rival fans and naysayers just to make agenda to agenda is a no no for me. They make it seem like arsenal has scored 30 goals out of 42 through set piece while Other teams only scored just 3 to 4 goals from set piece. We can always have a discussion about us working around our overall creativity in the final third, but make we no dey enable people that are only pained because they've been our victims as far as set piece goals are concerned. |
Ihebu4chelsea:Shebi arsenal football club was established to play cornerkick that makes u happy. 🤡🤡🤡 |
Ihebu4chelsea:In other words we should play a corner kick tactic that satisfies your viewing plwasure as a Chelsea fan before you will stop having issues with our corner kick goals? 🤡🤡🤡 |
patrickmuf:You didn't speak to any of the facts in my post; instead you chose to double down on insisting we rely heavily on corners without you having any data to back it up. Sorry I can't be arguing with you over your assumption that is not the real picture of things. Because tell me how crossing the ball into the box suddenly translates to wanting corner kicks at all cost 🤦♂️. The media has done a number of you guys to believe what is not a fact and you have decided to die on that hill. |
Ihebu4chelsea:I don't get you. Arsenal scores as much as Chelsea scores from Set piece. You guys even scored Corner kick against us in the 1-1 draw earlier in the season. Do I hate Chelsea for that ? Why should anybody hate Arsenal for scoring corners just as other team does? Arse you saying we should stop scoring corners while Chelsea continues scoring theirs? When we try to score you on open play and your defenders/goalkeepers block the ball from going into the net and we get a cornerkick as a result. You want us to waste the corner and wait for you to build your attack against us? ![]() |
izzou:I think the fear of non state actors attacking the traders may be reason why the traders chose to obey the order. Not like they also don't like making money on mondays |
patrickmuf:This post of yours is not based on fact, but solely based on fallacy that has been pushed by the media against arsenal this season. 1. As of 16th January 2026, when Sky sports did an analysis of goals set piece goals scored in the EPL thus far, Arsenal had only scored 14 set piece goals out of total 40 goals scored in the EPL. Man Utd followed closely with 13 set piece goals out of 36 goals in the EPL. If you look through the attached graph you will see other teams with the respective number of set piece goals they've scored in the EPL as at 16th January 2026 when the data was compiled. How do you arrive at the conclusion that Arteta set up arsenal to heavily rely on set-piece goals when data available didn't show a gulf between arsenal and other teams as far as set piece goals is concerned. 2. If your personal opinion about set-piece goals not being sustainable is to be believed, then we can all agree that the other teams like Man utd, Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa will also witness sharp decline in their goal returns going forward abi no be so? 3. Anybody who read your post up there would think maybe 70% of Arsenal's goals this season was scored through set-piece. Data available showed that as of yesterday, we've only scored just 35% of our goals through set piece which is not even far off from what Teams like Chelsea and Man Utd that don't have media focus on them tally as well. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13493842/arsenal-and-liverpool-rank-as-best-and-worst-from-set-pieces-as-premier-league-clubs-embrace-trend-between-the-lines Yesterday match was one of our worst, but we still had shots on target that were not set piece related. I agree we have a creativity issue that needs to be sorted out ASAP, but let's not make it seem like what Arsenal has been doing all season is score corners and park the bus afterwards.

germaphobe:Yeah, Saka is definitely suffering from burnout. As much as Madueke has been off and on in his performance, Arteta just needs to act as if Saka was injured and let Madueke enjoy some weeks of constant action while Saka takes deserved rest. Though I understand a section of fan will call for his head the moment he decides to rest Saka and the result don't go as expected (like they did vs Nottingham), I still feel it's best Saka is rested so he can be fresh for the last leg of the season campaign. |
Soludo orders shutdown of Onitsha main market for Complying with Monday sit-at-home by IPOB. He threatened to extend the shutdown if he comes next Monday and the traders still fail to open their stalls to sell. Will this approach Work to put an end to the Monday sit-at-home order? Cc: Izzou

germaphobe:Yes please! His constant injury this season that Lewis Skelly has decided to be shiiit is really a major issue for us. Hincapie at LB is such a nightmare to watch. Hincapie should be made to play LCB paired with Saliba in games against mid table teams to rest Gabriel for big games. The coach should also not do mistake of parking Hincapie with Mosquera at CB. A pairing of Gabriel and Mosquera is also welcome to give Saliba deserved rest. Skelly should be restricted to FA cup and maybe this upcoming champions league match that we already sealed our finishing position |
