So Kunle kinda insinuated that despite the huge cinema numbers, showing movies in the cinema was not really profitable for filmmakers.

She went further to call him on phone, yelling and said to him, "Mr Afolayan, I know you don't like me but don't mention my name in your interviews and cut the call"

I do not rate Funke Akindele. Her Jennifer TV series was wack. Her movies are terrible. I would rather watch paint dry on the wall than sit through her movie. But I think Kunle Afoloyan shouldnt have mentioned her name specifically and her reaction is completely justified.

Kunle Afoloyan probably thought his older status and the Yoruba ethos of respect for elders and "don't insult or disrespect an elder will shield him from Funke but na hin disrespect himself and invite the insult. He needs to be disciplined in his utterances.

I watched video clip of the interview and it was same with the excerpt you posted.

Kunle Afolayan didn't do anything wrong in the interview one bit. The context in which he mentioned her name was neither derogatory or condemning. He simply said he can't do all the hardwork of making a great movie only to end up creating skits and other contents to promote the movie which cinema owners will reap the most profit.

He's merely referring to Funke and other film makers like her who have found solace in using skits and contents to push their movies after doing all the hard work for cinema owners to chop.

I don't know why she's getting salty ; perhaps she already has a preconceived beef for him and was waiting for him to walk into her trap so she can come at him like she did.

To be fair, most of the movies they've been celebrating as grossing 1 trillion in cinema earnings...blah...blah have mostly been trash.

I remember the pre-COVID era when I was a frequent Cinema goer , I always regret watching most of those hyped movies with big names like Funke and co. They just use promotions to sell trashy movies with weak story lines and be celebrating numbers everywhere. Nobody talks about how great the movies are anymore.

They brought that same attitude to Netflix when Netflix came dangling streaming funds at movie producers. The moment Netflix saw through their weak story lines and poorly written scripts, Netflix asked them to use their own funds to make the movies and then bring it for screening to decided whether they will accept them or not. Immediately most of them quickly returned to cinemas

Na Prime some of them still dey carry those wack movies go now. The kind of wack Nigerian movies you would see on prime ehn, you will be amazed. (Both English and Yoruba genre)

I bought the standing fan on Saturday and their engineer installed same day.

That was why I said it loud and clear the other day that they are only angry because arsenal has been more effective at scoring those cornerkicks than any other team.

I've never been a fan of foreign music sha. At a time when people were miming 2pac, biggie and other foreign hip hop acts back in the days, I saw those period as boring and dark days.

Back then I hated watching AIT Lunch time programs because they play so much foreign music. The few Nigerian songs they played were all those Dr Alban's Carolina that had snake in the video 🤮 . Those late 90's and early 2000's i hated watching TV because they played all those foreign music I couldn't relate with like "who let the dogs out ", " trap song " , " celine dion " , " puff daddy and ket evans - every step i take ", sisqo,etc. Even tho my sisters would buy all those music lyrics book to learn the lyrics and sing the songs when they played on TV, I just didn't like those songs.

When the era of dem 2face , maintain and later dem 9ice , Dbanj and Don Jazzy , etc came around in the late 2000's , I whole heartedly welcome them . I would watch TVC's music africa for almost 3 hours listening to better african songs I could relate with .

Till date , i find all those foreign songs unsinspiring no matter how popular the foreign artist is either as a rap artist or R 'n' B. Thats why i woukd always regard dem Keke and D1 for what they did to make Nigerian music what if is

We have a prepaid meter dedicated for pumping machine and we only pump when there's light. So the pumping machine matter won't be an issue at all.

Light bulbs - 20W..and maybe you have 12. That's 240W for lights

TV...Maybe 100W

Fan...Maybe 40W, and you have 3...

Blah blah blah....The total of all of them is what will determine the size of your inverter.

Also, buy inverters that are bigger than your load capacity. If your total load is 5000W, buy an inverter that's bigger...Don't buy exactly the size, because you may add an appliance unconsciously, and your inverter would trip off.

Anybody who had dealt with an above 70 year old relative who was sick due to old age complications would know that Tinubu had the signs written all over him.
