If you are not asking for accidents, why should trucks remain stationary on major roads including bridges. It is why I say, in Nigeria, everything is trying to kill you.

They actually do! Some residents will then proceed to offload their gabbage into the stationary trucks in the dead of the night till it nearly overflows. The next morning the whole area will be smelling until the PSP operator find a way to repair truck and move it away from the area

Over here, once your vehicle breaks down on the highway or major road, you have less than 12 hours to tow it away from the road. Otherwise, the city marks it and will tow it at your expense. Major roads are heavily monitored by the city and Police.

Vehicles shouldn’t be allowed to remain stationary on highways, it is very dangerous. We have seen this type of death involving stationary vehicles, particularly trailers in Nigeria.

In this Lagos you will see PSP waste disposal trucks breaking down on both major roads and inner street roads. Some of those trucks will be grounded for days which will sometimes cause traffic as well as air pollution in such areas. Even on third mainland bridge , u will see PSP trucks grounded either because the tyre is bad or it suffered serious mechanical fault.

I don't even think the government has any solution to managing the problem.
