I don’t remember ever saying I was a member of any group called ‘bmc’. I’m a regular dude expressing my opinion on a forum. And my opinion is shaped by events as I see and perceive them. Now, as per Ambode’s achievements, I live in Lagos, and I was excited about his efforts towards alleviating the traffic situation by building bus stops and laybys and also the speed of completion of these projects, that is remarkable, but his overall performance is below par, the operative word is ‘overall’. From what I have gathered, he alienated his party leadership and most of the APC grassroots. Internal roads in lagos got little or no attention and then the PSP wahala.Why change a working formula? These are the issues my brother.

She only visited Nigeria with her British passport on occasions. She was never a resident of Nigeria until she was 34yrs. Till today, her parents still reside in the UK where she was born.

Her interests in Nigeria only began long after she had passed the age to serve. Many Nigerians born and resident in the UK have graduated below the age of 30yrs, yet they do not come to Nigeria for any NYSC because they do not have any business with Nigeria besides visiting when a grandparent died or a cousin was wedding.

That they do not have any interest with Nigeria now does not mean they might not show an interest later.

These are the same type of Nigerians that are daily celebrated here on this forum, as working with Google or Facebook or NASA or the White House. Nigerians in the diaspora, like the ones that were on hand to receive the vice president when he visited Google in the US. Nigerians that don't even know that anything called NYSC exist as it remains irrelevant to them, until the day they decide they want to be Nigerians and not American or Briton.


So by default she made enquires about securing an exemption, and one was certainly obtained through her associates from NYSC but fake. It was not obtained under the bridge at Obalende. It was certainly obtained from NYSC officials who gave a document that was not the legitimate issue.


Many Nigerians currently hold particulars that they think is legitimate having been obtained at the legitimate relevant government office, yet they are invalid.

Fellow Nigerians, can you see the people who were involved in the macabre dance of wickedness. All tribes well represented, all regions and religions. You see how they came together and planned all for their personal and collective benefit. But we the masses can never unite to achieve a common goal, instead we fight ourselves everyday, labeling ourselves different derogatory names. When will our mumu be enough!!

I always say it, Obasanjo is the chief architect of whatever problems we are experiencing in this present day democracy. Very conceited fellow. What happened to propping up a young and vibrant person to take over, someone who would have been able to carry on with his policies and vision. Instead he chose Yar’adua to punish us for his failure at getting us to accept his 3rd term project. Sad!

But let me say something that will shock you,even though many will not agree with me. It’s only our brothers up north that have the heart to start and sustain a revolution in this country. They are the most obstinate set of people when they believe in something and are ready to die for it, and I mean literally they are ready to lay down their life. Small small they are becoming politically aware,I pray it happens very quickly and I also pray our other brothers in different parts of the country will put aside their differences and join hands with them when the time comes....in the meantime let’s just sit back and enjoy the season movie they call Nigerian elections!!

Brother, I tire for the matter. You know most of us are easily swayed by emotions and sentiments, casting aside critical thinking and proper evaluation of things and situations. Just take a trip to a roadside newspaper vendor and spend an hour there, the kind of fabricated stories and conjectures people come up with based on what they read off pages of newspaper, hmmmm, we still have a long way to go.

I totally agree with the part where u said our votes no longer count. But our ambivalence is in not realizing that we can all come together and kick everyone of them out through acts of civil disobedience. The average Nigerian doesn’t want to die and even if anyone thinks about taking action, the issue of tribalism will be a big hindrance. I have lived in almost all parts of Nigeria, the same issues of poverty, hardship and injustice are prevalent everywhere regardless of tribe or state. Rather we sit in our little corners and complain till we die and pass on the same to our kids, hoping and praying for that golden day when God will suddenly come down and right everything that’s wrong with our country.
